John Smith

Would love to see Lyndon Dykes

John Smith

Lawrence Shankland is another player I’d be seriously looking at

William Jolly

When was this show recorded? The statements are well out of date.

Scott Cameron

Don't see much happening in January at all, if £5m plus came in for Kamara i'd carry him there myself

Scott Cameron

McLaughlin is under contract till 2024 it'll be a Greegsy replacement that's needed summer 2023

John Smith

I think if he’s coached by Mick Beale, the numbers he’s got for Hearts will at least double

Ross Whitehead

Porteous could be signed and flipped after a season for profit. Yeah, he's a ned, but I'd go for it.

Alan Gebbie

Kamara will come on to a game - but he is a holding mid - not really fair to slate him when he is always getting played out of position

Blair

I read that we need 8/25 for the homegrown quota so surely Lowry king Devine mccrorie souttar Ryan jack McLaughlin and one more possible a youth our transfer strategy doesn’t have to be buy Scottish for the sake of it

chris smith

Surprised there was no real mention of selling Lundstrum. Seems to me that that kind of player flipping is a far better market for us- cross-border English bosmans - rather than ‘investing’ in punts like Matondo .. would suggest that Lundstrum may not fit so well with a Beale mf in any case.

Grant Sneddon

The likes of Lowry, King, Devine etc aren't eligible for "A" squad registration for another year so that's why there's a greater need for Scottish players at this moment. Also Mclaughlin isn't Scottish trained either, was developed at Sunderland I believe

Mark

Let's be honest: the January window is perennially shite. It is only really good for the FF megathread full of middle-aged men pitching temper tantrums, which is always highly entertaining.

Graeme Homer

Can the pod transfer Andy B to another podcast! Porteous away you go, he’s not good enough and to claim he’s better than some we have even worse statement. We shouldn’t be and don’t need to be signing squad players.

Andy Barr

Why is Andy always so negative. Seems to hate Alfie.

Andy Barnett

Negative towards one player, who has continually disgraced the club for the last 2 years. Hardly hate pal

Simon H&H

Was recorded last week mate. Our January shows will be going out weekly or hopefully more than that if we make a few signings

Brian Campbell

Wondering if Andy’s still feeling the same after last nights win - and how we won it?

David Innes

I’m with Andy on Porteous - a low cost punt who would already be a good squad option and is only going to get better. If he can’t hack it or attitude/discipline becomes a problem we could probably still move him on for a profit in a year or so

Andy Barnett

Yep. Exactly the same. As happy as I am that we won, Morelos tap in from 5 yards isn’t enough to change my mind. He was laboured, sluggish and ineffective for most of the game.
