Can anyone explain why mccrorries handball was not a pen and sky consistently don’t give 3,4 replays of incidents like this when it’s rangers, just go back to hearts Celtic to compare, Mon the gers

Ronnie Brown

During the first half, I was trying to find a joke with Ramadani being booked as part of a ding-dong, but the events of the last 5 minutes left it absolutely redundant.

Euan Dover

I’m taking hope from the bottle we showed at the end but defo need to improve in many areas. Amazing feeling though :)))

Rona Bluebell

Just seen Goodwin interviewed. Broken. Hilarious 😆

Russ

Sheeesh that was mad, too tired after that to call out players for an awful performance. Mon Rangers, just keep winning.

Alan Weir

I went to the loo in the pub at 2-1, to come back to 2-2. My weak bladder kinda turned the game.

aldo adens

My youngest son while staying with his gran said to her before a ball was kicked he told his pals at school we would win the game 3-2 and as the 7 minutes got added he turned and said to her we would still win 3-2. Wish a had the confidence of my 11 year old son but going in to the added time i was rageing then come full time i was in shock. Then got a phone call to tell me what my son had said and yes i will ask him the lottery numbers for every heart and hand subscriber on pateron

Drew Hyslop

Beale got very lucky tonight. He's made them changes and put Kent and Wright wide to stretch the game. It completely took Kent out the game and Wright was Wright. We didn't have a clue what the hell we were doing. Only when Kent came back inside again and had a shot did we threaten. I'll take a lucky manager though!

Ewan Christie

Can we please start Ben Davies from now on.. thanks!

Andrew Hind

Can we just have a dull 2-0 please

Graham johnston

I'm happy that the manager wasn't happy even after the winner. U can tell that certain players aren't putting in the work, Morelos? However I'm really pleased today. Not because of the result but because I just watched my 10 year old son dance around the living room when we scored the winner. I live in the south west of England and he has never really got Rangers before. He loves to have a kick around eg but he just doesn't like football. The world cup seemed to kicked up an interest and today I let him stay up to watch it. His reaction will live long in the memory 😊

Ross Thomson

A win is a win but it shouldn't paper over the cracks.

Paul

Delighted with the result. We were terrible overall. We can't defend Tav for being injured anymore, he's been awful this season. Sands should never be played in defence. On Beale that. Overall the team needs to be gutted. Jack and Kamara never ever work. Will we learn? Telling Beale didn't celebrate

Garry kirkwood

Never experienced anything like that after the 3rd goal.

Neil Fox

Might be a new manager but it's the same players, some who are coming back from injury 3 points is 3 points and right now until we get more players in that's all that matters

Doug Young

Daylight robbery. That's as frantically clueless as I've seen us all season. Any notion that Beale can get a different tune out of these players should be put to bed tonight. Let Kent, Kamara and Sands go. So poor.

Robert glen

Brilliant way to win a game but and it’s a big but so many of this team need moved on . A few positives first Kent looked good first half and Tillman for most of game looked good but Morelos shouldn’t be offered new contract time to get him out of the club and sadly think it might be time for Tav to play second fiddle to a new right back he has been awful from start of season and just getting worse we need a goalie ASAP if not need to give Mcrorie a go and Jack needs to stay fit for rest of season to be offered a new contract and there is atleast 3 or 4 others I wouldnt be upset to see gone

Elaine Campbell

Thank you for fighting the good fight on behalf of all grammar pedants David 😂😂😂 LACK a daisical 😂👍🏻 I’ll happily join you in pedants corner. I get dogs abuse for sending perfectly punctuated text messages 😂🙈

Luke

Up the Rangers but god almighty, 6 midfielders on the park who can’t string 3 or 4 passes together.

Scott Tolmie

Edgar on tav, absolutely spot on and not just tonight

David Butler

Held it together when we equalised so to not to wake up my 6 month old son but like David says when the 3rd went in I let out an almighty roar so in the bad books but that doesn't matter right now! Moan eh Rangers 🇬🇧

Lewis Wardrope

We were utter shite…but Scotty Arfield btw!😂🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡

Stephen Fraser

Absolutely buzzing at the end, but agreed that there's so much that needs to be done. Also, tonight I saw Tav throw the ball out from a throw-in for the 3rd time this season - his first was against Ajax in the champions league. Can't remember the 2nd time, but Christ sake man - wtf is that?!

John McTrusty

Every now and again your work does you a favour. Canada's workday meant having to attend an online meeting during the game. In the background, I can detect things are not going well. Saw the last 5 mins and added time...Thanks to Scott Arfield is the only thing i can offer.

Jamie Walker

Andy - “the cry was no surrender” some man!

LMcGrath

I cannot believe Frankenstein was not the monster.

Colin Mathie

We've all said it, but this squad needs gutted, Alan McGregor should be first out the door.

Ronnie Brown

Beale said "chomping at the bit" earlier and it sent me into a rage.

Douglas Innes

Sands is just an American Ross McCrorie, another player that can't nail down a starting position so is not worth the outlay

Gary Morris

I’d have Ross Mccrorie every day of the week in the team ahead of Sands

Steve23

Morelos looks like he’s forgotten how to be a striker. Watch hi , countless times the ball comes into the 6 yard box and he’s totally static, standing behind the defender with no attempt to run across to get in front. The positions he takes up in the box are completely wrong with zero movement. Tav, Goldson, Lundstrum, McGreggor are everything that s wrong with this team. We should have been pushing for the equalizer, they all combined to slow the game down and revert to the same shit we seen with Gio in charge, it begs the question how much of the slow, laborious play came from the team and not the previous manager. We will never move forward with those players at the core of this team. MB needs to take us forward and build this team around Kent, Tillman, Lawrence, Hagi, Lowrie, McCann and he needs the patience of the fans and the backing financially from the board to bring in the right replacements to finally break away from this stale phase we are in and transition this team for the future. Give MB that and he will deliver 100%

Doug

Criticising the best defender we’ve had in decades, and suggesting he needs shot, in his first game back after a lengthy injury is harsh in the extreme. Tav and Lundstrum (who it should be noted are our 2nd & 3rd top scorers this season as it stands) showed in the first half of the year they can be key players. It will take time for them to re-adjust with MB back, but I do agree they were poor tonight. But so was everyone. Within the team, Tav top for assists, equal with Colak for goals + assists, top goals from free kicks, third for shots per game, second only to Colak for shots on target per game, third for big chances created, top for key passes per game and top three for both passing accuracy both long and short. Getting rid of him will sheer the team of so much that we simply can’t afford it until we have at least one, probably two players who’ll be able to pick up that slack.

Greg

Goal and an assist since the restart, keep it up Morelos.

Graeme McLeod

Ryan Jack shouldn't be far behind him. He's missed over 70 matches for us since the start of 20/21, will accept call ups for Scotland when he's not fit and at this point he looks like he's not got much left. So naturally Beale has publicly said he wants Jack to get a new contract.

Gordon Smith

In the original book the monster is called Adam.

Gary Shaw

I must definitely be in the minority but I couldn’t believe he took Kamara off as I thought he was having a good game and picking smart passes consistently….I know Tillman played a big part in the winning goal but I was baffled that he lasted the full game..I think there’s a cracking player in there but my oh my does he infuriate me at times…Morelos is on a knife edge with me aswell….his passing is so lazy and when Arfield gets the equaliser,he’s more concerned with winding up the Aberdeen fans rather than going for the winner and it’s just aswell Arfield had other things in mind and grabbed the ball off him and told him to get a move on

Andrew Orr

What a way to win! 😆 Sadly McGregor is a liability now and is costing us goals. 7 attempts on target and 4 goals conceded vs Hibs & Aberdeen. Poor kicking also putting us in trouble. On to Ross County!!

Kris

McGregor is really starting to tarnishing his legacy 😔

Stuart K

I know Mick says he wants us to have an identity, but if he means one that involves 3-2 heart attack games then bring back the horseshoe 😂😂 unbelievable from the Gers, we looked down and out

David Innes

Agree with Andy - the shite performance was worth it for the manner of victory. Properly ruined their Christmas and If they have an equivalent of the Feeling Blue podcast that would be right on top of the list 😂

Blair Flynn

I thought collum was awful and not just for us, 21 fouls and 10 yellows. Totally lost control early on

Douglas Innes

But he'd still be a player incapable of nailing down a 1st team spot ...... its just that we wouldn't have spent £4.5 million in doing so

Gregg

Constantly stopping quick restarts by having wee look at me chats, twice stopped us breaking from quick free kicks.

Dougie

Time check, 7am the following morning on the way to work! I’ve got a daft grin on my face listening to you guys all buzzing! How can you not love this team 😇🔴⚪️🔵

Martin Boyd

Good listening probably gave the neighbours a fright with Arfields 2nd🤣 Please MB replace the goalkeeper nearly every shot ends up in the net, he can’t kick and is glued to his line.

Gregg

Only seen Devine once or twice got the Bs and he was every inch the attacking fullback. Anyone whose not seen the info them video from last night, please look for it now

Jamie Gilchrist

Always thought the monster was called Frakenstein!! 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

Callum Dinnen

Tillman's role in the winner is exactly why he's kept on. You need 'moments' players to unlock tight defences and that's two winners in 5 days that he's played a huge part in by doing something nobody else does. The fact he had a quiet second half doesn't matter because he only needs 10 seconds to change a game. Fans like you would have had him subbed then complained that 'we don't have anyone on the pitch who can unlock tight defences.'

Gary Shaw

Wouldn’t have complained at all mate….as I said,I actually like him as a player but too often he was getting caught in possession or picked the wrong pass…glad we’ve cleared that up 👍

Tamus

The world cup final wasn't even the best game this week

Andrew Finlayson

Andy saying Mcgregor is still our best keeper seems based on Mclaughlin having one howler of a game at Parkhead and ignoring Mcgregor making countless mistakes in the last 12 and a bit months.

Paul fitzpatrick

Agree that the team didn't play well but Arfield apart there were a few plus points for me. Goldson is back and his performance was very decent considering how long he's been out, but boy have we missed his drive. He was the one driving the team forward at the end and was in 6 yard box for the winning goal. Kent is looking far more effective in the free role and also had a hand in both the injury time goals. His reaction at the winning goal shows how deeply he still cares. Kamara had an excellent first half, shaded in the second but he's getting back to form after 12 months of being shunted around under Gio. Finally, Shagger has to be dropped now, if McLaughlin's the number 2 he has to play, or invest in McCrorie and let's see what he can do.

chris smith

The passing comments were interesting … for me there was a big change from Gio-era team with lots of high risk forward passes (Kamara in particular) many of which did not come off. We have to get the risk/reward thing right in terms of taking risks but remaining safe behind the ball …. Its a work in progress imho

Spoon

Agree with pretty much all the hosts tonight. We somehow managed to hit the sweet spot between being absolutely comedic and heroic all in one game. Devine given where he is in his career looking a bright prospect. Great to see defenders in but I do feel a bit for Sands and ho has been asked to slot into a dysfunctional rear guard. Arfield being his usual Jekyll and Hyde. When he gets dropped in he brings drive and fire but at the same time his conversion rate given the chances he carves out can be frustrating. Absolutely good enough to be the impact sun but miles off being a starter for me. Thank fuck for him tonight though! I personally would bin Kent, Kamara and Morelos. Too many times in different ways they have let us down or underperformed when they are meant to be our ‘big’ players. Yea we get flashes, yes we see that ‘on their day’ there is talent but those days are as rare as Helander starting. I am scunnered with this group, need to see a three or four game run where they are on it, playing as a unit and giving us 90 minutes to get fully back onboard. Tonight should have been a huge feather in their cap but the nagging feeling is we got lucky and on another occasion we don’t get that luck and Arfield puts all of his shots into the keeper. Taking it as a one off it’s a great bit of drama and of course a pleasure to beat them in that manner. I like that Beale didn’t overly celebrate and knew it wasn’t what he wants to see in terms of performance but as you rightly say if your going to be lucky it’s better to be good luck than bad ! Great pod gents.

Jim Lamb

Great pod lads. Still can’t believe we won that last night, but thank God we did! As others have said over and over again, we need a rebuild, however, does the club have the resources to facilitate this?

Tom C

David, you're in no position to be pedantic when you say "ekcetera"! :)

Lynsey Roddy

You can tell there’s no woman on tonight when David says that with sex you always know what’s coming & they agree! 😂 Great stuff again lads. Terrible performance from the team but what a way to shut the sheep up! Merry Christmas to you all!

Graeme Macpherson

I did love the 'laxadaisical' correction. Pedants' corner lives on. Also, cracking pod - as I've always said, it sounds like conversations I would have had with my mates down the pub. Real fans giving honest commentary.

Steve23

Thanks for the response Doug, I’ve checked a few times and I can’t see where I’ve said Goldson should be shot! I never talk about Rangers players in that way so I will take exception to that. Im not simply talking about Goldson on his first game back and I’m not talking about Tav in the context of stats, especially when measured against a player in the same team over not even half a season, detailed stats are not my thing but if it floats your boat carry on mate. Goldson is not the best defender we have had in decades, not even close. I’m talking about the fact, at the core of this team we have McGregor, Tav and Goldson. They are very influential senior players and fair to say, to a large extent they will dictate the culture and attitude of this team, they dominate the dressing room. They also have a lot of influence on how we play and how the group deals with all of the challenges during a game and over a season, they are at the core of this current Rangers team. Agreed? So, when we have major issues performing and competing domestically, over a prolonged period of time and across 2 different management teams, it would be fair to say they are a big part of that problem? They have all played a big part in the journey, no doubt AMcG is a definite legend. arguably Tav falls into that category as well. My point is many of the issues we seen last night, going in front, stopping, losing a goal, going behind then sheer panic to the point we can’t defend a set piece or make a pass over 10 yards and the ball bounces between them followed by aimless crosses into the box and the team slowed down to walking pace has come from those players in particular over the past 2 seasons at least. That right there is a consistent pattern over a long period of time. They have had their day, thanks, I love them all but we will never move forward and will never cement this club as the dominant force in Scotland again unless we change the core of his team, find the next new and improved Tav, Goldson and Alan McGregor and take it to the next level. It’s happened to every Rangers team and it’s happened to all the greats in my time and beyond. My comments were not intended to come across as a knee jerk reaction to one game, these players are on their 3rd manager at least and we stopped moving forward a while ago. We are going backwards and It’s time to change, it’s time to rebuild and move on. Who is the next Tav, Goldson and McGreggor or do you think we continue to build another team around the same core of players? I hate to say it but look across the city. They fell apart for 1 season, they recovered straight away, how many senior players exist in their starting 11 today compared to say 2 seasons ago? Anyway, it’s fine to disagree, I didn’t mean to come across as if I’m attacking these players for the sake of it, I just think we need a fundamental change in this squad to move forward.
