Great pod and your analysis is spot on as always lads. I felt exactly the same, brilliant attacking moments, really slack play Inattention and unforced errors but unusually, not once did I fell like we were losing that game. It was a weird night. Max points in 4 from 4 games, it’s progress but a lot to do for MB. I don’t fear Celtic, we have the players to beat them but Martin made a brilliant point and it’s got me worried. Your observation that none of those players look like they are straining at the leash for Mondays game is spot on, that’s a massive concern. Great to see Alfie’s on the way back, more game time please MB and resist the urge to do what Gio did and start changing the forward line for no apparent reason the minute players show progress. I look forward to watching Tillman against them. He is capable of some brilliant moments but he hasn’t turned up against them yet. Monday will say a lot about him, is he the real deal? Tav was poor yet again and continues to disrupt our forward play, slowing everything up, even throw ins when his teams mates are looking to keep things moving. Young Devine looks like a very calm and confident player, I’ve personally seen enough to put him in against them but that’s a massive call and I know it’s very unlikely, I just fear the pace at which they attack the flanks, Tav will cost us on current form and if he was injured I would be confident with young Devine at RB.

I’m not sure he’s as annoyed with the performance as he’s making out. He has a process to take the players through, and he has to pull levers all the time to get them where he wants them. If he had come out after this game, the one before we play the ‘other’ team, and said ti was an improvement then this group would take the foot off the accelerator, because that’s what they do. He can;t afford to let them relax until he has then operating back at the levels they can play to. It’s just one of those press conference performances where he is saying things more for the benefit of the players. He needs them to stay focused until they get an international break, so I suspect we may see more of these comments for longer. This group of players can’t be changed in January. It will take the next twelve months, giving him three windows to operate in. I just hope the board realise there is more needing done that what they might think. Always prepare to do more than you might think, and that way you can respond to things.

Personally think Beale has been holding back that more...honest appraisal of the teams performance. Monday IS a big game, and if he can squeeze a win out it then our world is a very different place.

I will be honest. I am a bit worried about Monday, given how sloppy we are at keeping the ball at times. If you offer me 13/15 I would bite your hand off for it.
