Alex is back in the chair as he asks Steven and Kev to look ahead to our first home match at Ibrox in almost a month. St. Johnstone are the opponents again just a week after the Gers defeated them in Perth in the Scottish Cup.

If we sign Raskin for the summer I won’t be very happy. Still cups to be won and a league to make competitive. He’ll rot in their reserves and goodness knows what shape he’ll be in when he arrives. When is the last time we had a good window?

I'm 24 minutes in and I think Steven has talked for 23 minutes and 59 seconds...

I can't tell if Alex is being the ultimate contrarian to be questioning Beale over performances despite taking over Gio's mess and serving up all wins and a draw with celtc. Especially after hearing that bad performances and bad results under Gio was "fine" all season on the show. As I said maybe it is just being contrary for the sake of it. Not sure what anyone can expect from Beale after what he inherited. Good listen lads

4 goals 4 assists in 8 games, bitty indeed, Beale seems content.

Great discussion as always gents, the stuff around over / underwhelmed by Beales start is spot on. He does seem to get all the slack for not being convincing (which at some point will be an issue) and the injuries that folk were happy to sledge the previous manager for. He actually has people back now and I’m not convinced we are still just at the mercy of the squad and the manager is just along for the ride, for example the slow starts and lack of belief is a constant regardless of tactics and personalities in the dugout. One big thing I’m not a fan of that others seem to love is Beales press stuff, he quit often contradicts himself from interview to interview and week to week. I think he is making a rod for his own back with all the talk of transfers and I’m amazed he is so willing to talk about ‘another managers players’ which is normally a kind of unwritten law that the managers union seem to all abide by ! All good stuff as usual, winning is everything and in fairness to Beale he is getting the results. Could be interesting if they drop some points and we can actually close the gap at some point.

On the discussions about the manager getting away with certain things that Gio would have been pulled up for..the main difference I can see is Gio chose the style of play..told players to stay in certain positions and it wasn't working but he just carried on without changing anything..Beale has taken over he is trying to change lots of things we are seeing slowly the results of this so he might be getting allowed a certain ammount of leeway...but the biggest change and as a season ticket supporter I can say I am now looking forward to going to the game and sit enjoying the game now..while before I have never experienced such a feeling of apathy...no excitement whats so ever..so hopefully I will enjoy our new Manager and cant wait to see what results he can acheive.
