Martyn, Adam and Ally are back after the break to begin the second half of their run-through of the squad's tactical makeup.

In this show, we discuss the skillset a footballer needs to play one of the main three attacking midfield roles. The roles we have used are:

  • Winger
  • Inside Forward
  • Number Ten

We take a look at the current squad's strengths and weaknesses, assign each of them to a role and look at how new recruits could fit into the system.

Lads I know it's a bit of a lazy comparison but do you think the Cantwell we want would be similar to Villa Grealish? I remember Grealish at Villa being brilliant from middle to last third with progression, fouls won, chances etc but not as effective in the box.

Thanks for that pod Martyn, Adam & Ally. Interesting discussion & viewpoints as usual. I always enjoy hearing your opinions.

Boys, this pod was outstanding, as all the others in the series have been. The coup de grâce though was Martyn's perfectly delivered story about him and his missus meeting the Hagis. Thankfully I was driving on an empty stretch of road when I heard it and no-one needed to wonder why I was howling with laughter whilst sitting in my car alone. Well played, sir.

Great analysis lads. Verdict : we have 5 players all best suited to play left of the forward line, excellent. Kent Todd Matondo Fashion Lawrence
