Interesting show, guys. Well done. David Mitchell HAS to be inducted into the H of F. I went to Glasgow Cup and Glasgow Charity Cup games in the early 60s. The teams were Gers, Celtic, Thistle, Clyde, Third Lanark and Queen's Park. Usually all teams, bar QP, were in the top league. It was a big deal. Only B teams compete now apparently. PS in Vallance's day, could only play cup games and friendlies until 1890 when league started. Hence his total games played.

Thanks for that, Bob. Vallance’s low number of games did seem strange given his years of service - it makes sense now! Love that about the Glasgow Cup and didn’t realise it had run for so long. Will be interesting as we progress through the captains to see how we fared in that competition overall

Hi guys. Some interesting stuff there, thanks. I’m happy to help with any info when it comes to Tiger Shaw’s turn. I may have some inside info 😜

Elaine, sorry to jump in here but I'm about to do a show on the Iron Curtain. Would love some insider insight if possible?

David Herd's great book " 1872" makes the case for Davie Mitchell's inclusion in the Hall of Fame. Hopefully, it'll happen in the upcoming Gala Opening dinner for N.E.H.

@grant Sneddon - I got an email saying you had commented on this but not showing on here? Happy to help if you need it?
