The lads are back to host Andy McGowan on the sofa for a somewhat uncomfortable therapy session, discussing the Ramsden's Cup Final defeat to Raith Rovers in April 2014.

While Andy remained defiant and faithful to the cause during some of our darkest times on (and off) the field, the patience of his, and most Rangers fans were pushed to the absolute limit this day, in undoubtedly one of our worst ever results.

The one positive thing that sticks out for me, was at the end, the rangers players and manager stayed out on the pitch to applaud every rovers player to collect their medals. That must've hurt , but the standards are something that should never be lost.

A timely reminder - with the Raith R quarter-final coming up soon.

“Naw I feel worse!” 😂😂😂

This is defo one of my worst games and feelings being a rangers fan basically cause it was our son's first final and basically I promised him a win. He was only 5, we had been taken him to games since he was 3 and really thought this would be his first cup final win! I thought the win was a given that Day and basically had been telling him all day it would happen and to see his wee face at the end will live with me forever, he was in tears and I was just a raging mess 🤣

My worst day through 'The Journey'

Got players lounge tickets on the day of this and the free bar for skelped after. Ian Black was an abomination that day - well not just that day

This is the nadir of the banter years without question for me. 4 attempts to win a lower league cup. Humiliating.

Gordon Watkins

This is the day I nearly chucked it. I have never felt as low as this in nearly 40 years following the Bears. I genuinely thought at the time that this was what it was going to be like for years.

The Banter Years contain more Nadirs than an Abu Dhabi phonebook

Thanks AndyB & Ross for this episode & series. Good is probably not the right word, perhaps a noble bear-itarian rescue mission is more apt! AndyM. Wow! Top man! Right off the top dale, no fear, head first into this steaming cesspool of despair. Sir! Admiration, and gratitude, as your selfless sacrifice has spared me, Mr Edgar and countless others having to be the person to re-live this in front of an audience. Thank you! For me this was the absolute worst, yes other results left me angrier, or agrieved but nothing made me as truly despondent as this did. I was in the second back row of the same stand as Andy & Ross. Making my way to the exit when RrrRrs (still can't say those words!) scored I still managed to see the team applauding their conquers by the time I got to the exit, just by the length of journey, nothing to do with the crowd! I vividly recall a young cub in our company, aged 11 or 12, not a wee boy, not a teen yet. He couldn't hold back the tears, (bloody good effort though!) and got worse as he was embarrassed about crying in among men & older lads. I gave the kid a bear paw round the shoulder. Told him 'Dont worry, let it out, it'll go and you might have to remember how bad this felt for a while - But thats because you were here! You didnt abandon your club, like many have. BUT, one day, maybe 5, 10 or 20 years, but one day you WILL be at Ibrox and hear the Champions League music and you more than anyone will deserve it when it happens. Cheered him up a wee bit. I dearly hope he was there in Sept for the Napoli game, voyage compete. Even with that 0-3 result, it was an accomplishment that he and all of us who endured this match, result & period can be proud of - there were many, many days it seemed beyond reason and some days seemed even beyond hope.
