Greegsy is my number one keeper and ive seen many starting with the Girvan Lighthouse. Two Euro finals Greegsy took us to. Numerous cups and titles where he made match and title winning saves.

Tamus

Was he wearing a Neil Alexander mask in Florence and Manchester?

Been rediscovering the album at the weekend. Still have the CD in the pill wrapper! Do you think the H&H universe is ready for some Spacemen 3? 😀

Ryan Stewart

All 3 are absolutely Hall of Fame worthy imo. Not a massive fan of the timing though if I’m honest. Don’t think current serving players should be eligible, especially the week of a cup final. End of the season for McGregor and Davis would have been perfect

Andy McG

Tav first scorer and 3 nil @ 52/1 made it a happy weekend.

It's touching that you can really hear in Alan's voice 'Alan the supporter', not just 'Alan the player'. It's the voice of that wee boy and all his dreams, the dreams we all have about playing for the team that we all love when we're young. Few get the honour of doing so, and even fewer do so in a way that results in them being HoF honourees and you really hear that appreciation in Alan's voice and when he says, this is different. On the other foot you also see what a club like Rangers can offer players who aren't boyhood fans, i.e. James Tavernier. At 24 he was a journeyman loanee who looked like potentially having a basic, quiet but I'm sure decent enough career at decent enough clubs. Instead, he can now look back on being not just a player, but a captain of one of Europe's finest clubs of tradition. A captain who pulled said club back to it's winning ways, winning what was the most important title of their then decade. Not only that, but winning it undefeated, with a record points tally and to stop our bitter rivals eclipsing the leagues in a row record. Add to that being only the fifth captain in a proud 150+ year history to lead the club to a European Final. Lead being the word as he lead by sterling example throughout. Every big game when we need to start strong, score first and set the tone... it was he who did it. Against Dortmund home and away, vs RSB at home, vs Braga at home after defeat and again vs Leipzig at home after a defeat. He scores the first goal in all of these games to kick us on. Ending up the top scorer of the entire tournament, with more goals to his name, than the entire Rangers team collectively in the 2008 run. Compare that to the career he would likely have had if he'd made a different decision in 2015 and there's no comparison. This is what Rangers can offer players who devote themselves to the club. For those who choose the memories over the money, great things can await them.

That’s why Shagger’s the goat. Love that fella

Gary Brown

Thanks for the update David. Great to hear from Greegsy the Hall of Famer - rightly so👏👏👏👏👏

Allister

He demonstrates being a true Ranger by how high he sets the bar. He's almost dismissive of great saves he made in games or tournaments we didn't win.

Colin Mathie

Shagger, Davis fully deserve to be in the H.O.F, Tav, really?

Ian

Enjoyed the game at the Ibrox bar in Tenerife with Geordie Mac and fellow bears. Love that place. Always feel welcome and Geordie creates a great atmosphere.

Just when you were informing us of ‘the famous’ scarves. I’m wondering is their any news of a cro pod up and coming in the near future?

Heart and Hand

That's down to Shane my friend. He's setting up two businesses at the same time because he is insane! As soon as he has more time, we'll be there.

David Baillie

Great post Doug. I’m always bemused when you hear criticism of Tav from time to time. I can only assume it comes from people who don’t know a lot about football. We probably won’t appreciate his contribution until after he has left the club. It was a fine weekend for the Tavernier clan with the younger brother scoring the winner. However, just to be pedantic I’d like to point out that Tav is only the 4th captain to lead us at a European final. John Greig (the greatest ever Ranger) had the fine distinction of being captain in Nuremberg and Barcelona. Keep up the excellent posts. 👍🇬🇧

Loved the McGregor interview. The 3 of them fully deserved to be in the HOF.
