Andy and new co-host Grant invite Hoggy on to revisit the 1989 Scottish Cup Final defeat.

In an ultimately frustrating end to a glorious season, Rangers failed to turn up, and win the treble - The gents talk about the day itself, what the result meant in the long run, and of course, the subsequent signing sensation later that summer.

Ruined my 16th birthday.....suppose we did piss them of a few months later when Moria Stewart told me that Mo Jo had signed ⚽️🤣😳

Great to see the old “first to grab the ball” throw-in rule that has sadly left the modern game.

My first old firm game. I was 12 years old. My dad parked where we usually park for Scotland games. (Felt like miles away) had to walk through the scum. Was dressed head to toe in Rangers gear so couldn't hide it. Was spat on and called an orange b*****d. One of the reasons I despise them

Aw lads way to soon for a pod on a cup final defeat to them, I'm depressed enough from last weekend

John Johnston

Hard one to take at the time but it was their last trophy win for 6 years and we were only getting started. Mo Johnston signing for us fairly took the shine of that win for them and we never looked back.

One of my worst memories watching Rangers. It wasn’t missing out on the treble, it wasn’t losing a cup final to ‘them’ - it was the sight of Joe “Fingers” Miller running to the Bears blowing kisses after he scored. I loathed the wee throbber when he was at the sheep so to lose with him scoring the winner for the Dhims was just too much - a complete sickener of a day for me! 🇬🇧

Andy Barnett

It was tough as a 9 year old to watch it on TV, hadn't seen us lose a cup final prior to this

LAURENCE MACRAE

Was at the game , absolutely brutal , they were shite in comparison to us then , signing Mo definitely gave them a boost, how that was to kick them in the balls shortly afterwards 😀

Dave Fleming

We out sung them that day. Bears in the Rangers end long after they had all gone home.

This still hurts if I'm being honest.Allys sitter at the end probably summed up the whole day.I still remember that bastard Aitkens free kick at the end that he blasted in to the reptile end.
