Beale is just full of contradictions. So he can never make subs at HT as it is throwing them under the bus? Sorry, if you aren't performing you come off. More like he didn't want to admit he got it wrong

Already fed up of hearing the manager talk. He says loads. I understand its good for you guys for reporting on but for me too much contradiction and bollocks. Lundstrum, shown over the period that he isnt up to the job. Another one we can get rid of for me.

I assume JL lost something at training to draw today’s short straw. Beale’s openness leads to contradictions as circumstances change from week to week. My fear is we’re not going to see the required rebuild (or revamp).

Haven't listen to the show yet. But I see there's another 'Rangers linked with' story. Any chance you could either stop reporting these as they are almost all nonsense paper talk, or make a list of them through the season and see how many of them we actually go for in the transfer window.

Someone said today that their McGregor has been in 15 finals and won everyone. I’m beginning to think Tav is our Paul McStay. Nice, talented but doesn’t win. 😢

Beale’s bs. Yes we can say the team had a good run but against them at Ibrox and at Hampden were the two big tests and he’s failed. Hampden he’s doubling down and should never have played JL after been out for 22 days. He’s slow enough never mind with no game time. JL has conned us all out a cup after declaring himself fit but again MB failed in his lack of reaction when everyone could see him and Tillman were still injured. The signs are looking good for MB and his 3rd big test is the SC. I can’t say I’m overly confident in his decision making.

Is it just me that finds this obsession over today's press conference a bit weird? It's the usual boring stuff you get in most PCs with a few soundbites thrown in but every single word seems to be getting dissected and studied to strange levels. Can't be healthy.

I agree. I saw people were moaning about Lundstram saying hopefully we would reach another final. If he had said we are going to win the next final he would be criticised for being arrogant and over confident if we don’t do that.

I think the people saying "That's a bit much for a goalie" should sit and ask themselves, if we had a 25yr old Alan McGregor and the club were selling him, would they be happy receiving £3.5m?

I think we need to keep in mind, he is still a new manager. We are basically going through again with Beale what we had with Gerrard. It's one thing to be there as part of a coaching team making suggestions, it's another when you're the main man. That's what Beale is now learning and needs to learn quick. I think it's unfair to be too harsh on the first OF game, we were within a minute of winning that. It was more misfortune than anything else. This is the first game he's gotten properly wrong. Maybe the pressure of the first big test got to him. Time will tell if he takes the lessons forward of repeats the same mistakes.

If we got rid of Tav, Goldson would probably be the next captain and his record is just as bad. It’s a team game and Celtic would have probably won most of those finals if McGregor hadn’t even played.

I agree. What did people expect? Beale to fall on his sword and Lundstram to retire from football? The press conference is really there to update on injuries, get soundbites for headlines and although tough questions can be asked - the answers will never be much more than platitudes. Its Beales first loss as manager and although it was a cup final (and esp a cup final against them) some the reactions have been bordering on hysterical.

It's a long time since Ive felt the fan base so angry and disgusted at players and a Manager. Beale absolutely f****d it on Sunday - 4 days on and its still at the forefront of my every waking minute. Its gonna take some convincing for him to win back my faith and trust. The worst part from him was getting to half time and still not doing anything about the absolute overt on-field clusterfuq whatsoever. I remember around the 60th minute the game stopping and I said to my brother, I think that's us bringing on some subs now and when I looked to the dugouts it was Fat Flanj ringing the changes while Beale just stood looking shell-shocked, watching on. Also, I wish he would just shut up a wee bit more and cease with verbal the piffle

Martyn, it's not been a good run of form at all, it's been a good run of results, however we've had one good performance in 15 games under Beale

It's been a tough week and we're all hurting, but please don't take out your frustration on the H&H lads. The work they do is exemplary, particularly in summarising things like Press Conferences. It's the perfect place to come if you're sick of hearing the manager as you don't need to actually hear him, just get the summary of what was said. I personally find nearly all PC's pretty boring, so the Daily Update is perfect as I can get the info without the time suck, plus the opinions of the Podders, which I value. As for Lundstrum, I feel your frustration. I look back at the swaggering colossus who skelped the ball into the back of the Dortmund net and wonder what happened. If he could just rediscover half of that we'd be onto a winner.

Hampden was a massive failure with his starting line up and at Ibrox they actually scored with 10 minutes real time still to play as the game had 6 minutes of injury time.

I feel we played the occasion rather than the game on Sunday & players were sucked into thinking it was just another game. This team haven’t earned the right to just turn up & win games, don’t think this current squad will ever reach that point.

There are separate press conferences for broadcast media and print media. Print media is embargoed till 10.31pm. The reason for embargoes is so papers have something to put out tomorrow. Obviously we as broadcast can just go with stuff straight away.

Some glaring inconsistencies in Beales comments. He needs to wind it in a bit. He’s far too open and expansive with his interviews. I’m sure the mhedia love it but it’s not what the Bears want to hear.
