Interesting comments from Hoggy on the idea of regionalising European football. I agree that it would make sense. Would prefer that to us and them just being arbitrarily parachuted into the EPL. Sticking point though is that the EPL (constantly fed by the Championship) is currently making money like it's going out of fashion so why would clubs like Brighton, Fulham, Brentford etc agree to let two 'cuckoos' in?

Listening to the discussion about kvatshevilia (sp?) You mentioned he was offered to rangers and would have cost circa 10m. Did he go to dynamo batumi on loan from Kazan, or was he their player after being released from the russian club? Who did napoli buy him from? Looked online, but not that clear.
