Johnnie Mitchell

Another good show Alan. 3/3 guessing the years for me 👍🏻😂

John Sturdy

Great show Alan. Thanks.

David Tod

I was born in ‘58.We’ve had the best of it. Brilliant show.

David Gilhooly

Hi Alan, thank you yet again for a supper show. Just one correction if i may. Paul Kossoff passed on 19th March 1976. I was at the 1992 semi and felt that was the building of a team that night.

Alan Bradley

Thanks David. You are correct, my bad re Paul Kossoff such a great guitarist, sad that he passed at such a young age. Agree re 92 team.

Jamie Milligan

Always a really interesting listen. Really enjoy this show.

John Walker

Good stuff Alan brings back great memories. When I was an apprentice my tradesman was a st mirren fan and always remember him telling me about that semi and how they tried to get the game stopped. Colin stein 's iconic goal and celebration . 1992 I was in the rangers end so a bit drier than you , brilliant backs to the wall victory. Crowded house kiwi's ex split enz.

Alan Bradley

Thanks Johnnie, have just read more into Crowded House, amazing back story, with lots of great musicians linked to several top bands and artists through the years. Bit drier than me, sounds familiar for a guy from Pishy Wishaw to a bloke over in Oz.

Gregg

The 92 semi was my first old firm game - I was so excited then after 5 mins all the men around me are giving it that’s that, game ruined etc - then the roar went up from the rangers end and the cry was…. great memories, soaked to the bone but couldn’t have cared less

Alan Bradley

Was just brilliant, myself and big Davie Best were over in the north enclosure. I had one of those jackets with the detachable hoods. At Ally’s goal, hood was pulled off in the madness, Lord knows where it went. Didn’t give a hoot, just singing in the rain.

Mark Brown

Really enjoyed this one Alan 👍

Martin Boyd

Got the first two by the music and movies. Helps the first one is the year of my birth.

chris smith

Great stuff Alan … Crowded House were Kiwis, not Aussies tho ;-)

Rose Mcloughlin

Really enjoyed your show Alan..dear god you have some memory even remembering the colour of your jacket you wore at a game...nice to mention Roy Castle who unfortunetly died from lung Cancer. He had never smoked a cigarrette in his life but worked in lots of nightclubs and breathed in the smoke fumes which later started the campaign to stop smoking in public places. ...looking forward to your next show.

Alan Bradley

Thanks Rose Yes memory on games from days of yore, down to chocolate eclair sweets at certain 70s old firm games are still clear. What I had for tea last night, not so much. Agree re Roy Castle, real shame, positive though - his amazing contribution to lung cancer charity. Glad you’re enjoying the series.

Rose Mcloughlin

My brother keeps offering me a chocolate eclair..mind you he only has 1 tooth..but they are the dentists dream..know what you mean by long term memory I go back to 1956 when I would be lifted over the turnstyle by a kind supporter unkown to my father who was there with my 2 older bros..raced down to the front got hit on the head with a ball and later my woderful dad said well if she is going get in that way she would be safer with me.. At 8 yrs old my love affair began...still a season ticket holder and still in love..mind you I use a lift pass now.

David Bill

Another beauty Alan Can’t believe the lack of genesis and company tunes As Rose said your memory for the stuff is amazing I do like the intro to the year with what was in the news at the time Keep up the good work

Alan Bradley

Thanks David, recording tomorrow, trying to keep music as varied as possible, although suspect there might be a Genesis one soon. 😉

Angus Mackay

Great show again Alan , the 92 semi , I was working out of Holyhead in north wales , we’d landed our fish there that day & scrambled to find a pub to watch the match - we did , the Dublin packet !! So you can imagine my delight when Super scored the winner and I’m the only bear in the bar 🤣

Alan Bradley

Ha, there are probably guys in that pub, who still remember your celebrations today. 😀

John Wilson

Great show Alan! Thanks for giving me the heads up about it on Saturday. I'm on a wee road trip with auld Frank on Friday so will keep this week's episode for then so he can listen in.
