George MacLean joins pod therapists Andy and Grant to revisit the cup final defeat of 2016, which was a sore ending to a positively progressive season.

The lads cover the world of football at the time, including Leicester City's miracle title win while George shares his memories of the season's progress, and the false dawn of a notable Old Firm semi-final victory before talking about the match build-up and ultimate disappointment.

I don’t think I’m ready for this….

This is a good one. The defeat was incredibly damaging for Warburton and I don't think he ever recovered in the eyes of a lot of the support.

I know it is almost 7 years ago but for me this match is still too sore to revisit. Will download and listen some time down the line (could be a long, long time down the line)

Colin Campbell

Still not ready for this episode. Well done to the boys for covering it haha. Id just rant.

Ron Jeremy

Never felt as low travelling back from that game, and that’s saying something

Fair play to podders for this... but still raw for me... mite be 7 years back, but sitting in a bar in Kemer, Turkey watching the game with 3 'bona fida' spoon burners ( NOT ) ... I'll never forget the feeling at full time... Numb

As they got the corner that they scored the winning goal from when their player was walking up to take it my dad said to me “this is as good as a penalty for them” and it was.

In all my years of following rangers I have never seen as bad defending for hibs first goal.the winning goal came from Nicky Clarke failing to control a simple pass and letting it bobble off his foot and go out for a throw deep in hibs half, from that throw hibs got up the park and got the corner.warburton escaped a lot of scrutiny that day because of what happens at the end.

Honestly couldn't get this result out my system for weeks. Ruined my summer. I'm not saying this with the benefit of hindsight, but I just had a bad feeling leading into this game. I know we ended finishing miles ahead of Hibs in the Championship, but the two teams were a lot closer man for man than the gap suggested, plus we hadn't kicked our arse since about March out with the Dundee quarter final and beating that lot in the semi. I would have been a lot more confident of beating a newly relegated Dundee United in that final. Just my opinion.

On the consequences of the defeat, we basically wasted the next two years as a club until Gerrard arrived. The summer of 2016 was a weird one; it was as if Warburton lost his nerve as to the type of manager he was. The signings in summer 2015 were all good signings with a similar profile - early 20s players who had a point to prove. None of the signings in 2016 fit the same profile or were typical Warburton signings in the slightest.
