Just give it all, don’t shy away from that mob

@bluebeans

💯 right about passes under feet or behind player Alex. It’s a strange thing that’s went on for sometime - breaking lines for us is vital and that let’s them reorganise.

Jordan Grant

Thought Morelos played not too badly on Saturday. Done very well to shift their defence around, particularly for the first goal.

As much as I hate giving them credit, think Stevens point saying they are only getting 1 in 3 transfers right is a bit unrealistic. If we hit close to the ratios of success they did with transfers then we wouldn't be 9 points behind. The likes of Turnbull, Forrest etc who are not bad players not getting into their matchday squad is more, begrudgingly, a testament to the strength in depth they have at the moment - not an indication of a poor transfer policy

We just need to get used to life without Alfie. Give someone else the chance to prove themselves. Take a risk for once. Same goes with the rest if the line up. Use this to try to find a way to win there. Might not come off this time but at least we'd be trying something different and get them thinking for the semi-final. Not really one for performance over results but the result this time is not critical. Performance for some, at least in the fans eyes very much is. Some just won't have any credibility with us left if we get a repeat of the last fixture there or the LCF. The likes of Raskin and Cantwell likely will get time. Use that to blood them in this fuxtire. Let's face it how they perform in this fixture over time will determine their Rangers legacy. Give them their chance to make sure that's a positive one. Can't face losing that goal again or embarrassing apologies post match. Only the players can prevent that. Hope the manager sets them up to give them a chance to and we get a win that we remember as the start of a new era for us.

Greg

Shocking, abysmal embarrassing,

Graeme Burns

No old firm is a free hit, they all matter, they all count. 😡

Graeme Burns

Who’s to say we get a result, they lose Harvey Price to injury, and they drop points in their next game? No surrender

C. J

Saying Callum McGregor is overpaid is a reach. The boy leads them to titles and cups on a regular basis. If Tav was offering that I’d be all for paying him 40k a week as well.

G Dewar

Kev definitely being overly biased if he thinks that performance from Alfie is anywhere near acceptable.

Gregg McKee

I felt Morelos was nowhere near as bad as Dundee U as Alex thought. I wouldn’t steer him tomorrow though

In regards to that celtc cow-tow to their fan groups its interesting that both fan groups over there have received no tickets for Hampden so not sure if that's true , if we really wanted to go for them I'd have Jack/Cantwell as the 2 with Kent Tillman Sakala supporting Morelos ........

Pedro

Interesting listen guys. I don't get why some people have to turn any comments about Colak into something about Morelos. Or vice versa. Tell you what though, only a lunatic would start Colak at Parkhead. Both of them have been poor is the reality sadly.

David Innes

Great pod. Completely agree with your assessment of their squad. When you get past the first 11 it really isn’t that great. Personally I think Raskin, Cantwell and Tillman have a higher ceiling than anyone they have with the possible exception of Jota

Robert Bradley

Spent too much time talking bout them...is what it is c'mon the Rangers👍.. can analyze footy all day long...sometimes it's heart and desire and unfortunately we have lacked that recently 🙄

Adam Weir

Excellent pod as always. We have to show heart & win individual battles. Tav against Meada is huge in the context of winning this game.

Alan Gebbie

Morelos was a joke - obviously not interested

David Best

Great show as always. Have to agree with Alex and Steven about Morelos. Nothing new, just another step in a sad and painful decline.

Excellent discussion gentlemen Interesting perspective on the squad challenges across the city. Some interesting parallels to us in the summer after 55. Whether winning or losing, I think we always underestimate how quickly things can change in football. Our own post-55 experience shows this but look at Liverpool for a remarkable example - 1 year ago, their squad was (said to be) on the verge a quadruple and being immortalised and today it is (said to be) fundamentally broken and needs major rebuilding I think Steven's point on the director of football is crucial in this. They are the ones who can mitigate these swings over the long run. I still think that from a distance of 2-3 years, our 2022 summer transfer dealings will be viewed as a good example of doing this - but we're currently paying the price for earlier failures I've gone 2-1 Rangers (It was Steven that called 2-0 for Dundee United by the way)

James McNeill

Excellent pod as usual. Im a big fan of the DoF route but it's hard to argue with Celtics transfer record under Ange. I think we've just been unlucky with injuries regarding recruitment.

Alan Gebbie

I don’t want them at ibrox - fuck them why should our season ticket holders miss out ?
