Dear Mr Echo…Can you imagine Shagger if some twat tries to chain himself to his goalpost

Campbell Maclennan

Totally agree with the Premiership thing. Being a big club with a 50k seater stadium doesn't mean anything anymore. We belong up here winning things and competing in Europe. The prem is it's own little island and i'm less and less bothered about it as the years go on.

Dear MR ECHO

Tamus

By the time shagger got over to the post to punch the protester, Swampy will already have been cut free, arrested, taken to cathcart police office, charged, fingerprinted, photographed and released on bail

Doug

Too many people really don't consider how a move to the EPL would fundamentally change the root and stem of the club. Everything you said was spot on about being in the wilderness for at least decade as both we adapted, but also the world adapted, to us in our new position. Being cash rich wouldn't be an instant fix and we'd have plenty to address off the field as well as on to build the club further. One thing I don't think people consider when it comes to be able to afford a high class of player, is the fact that you still need to convince the player to come to the club. Putting the biggest hitters aside, if we are up against clubs like Palace, Spurs and West Ham for players, how many will fancy coming to rainy Glasgow, with a long commute for every away game, as opposed to living in famous, cosmopolitan London? I for one have never been a fan of moving to the EPL. I'd much rather see Scottish Football get over it's poisonous relationships and inert management, so we can build a better, more engaging league. Imagine drama and satisfaction of winning a three horse race for once, especially if we got to see that lot finishing third!

Tend to agree re EPL and likely consequences. I’d much rather Rangers end up in some form of European structure like the (now dead) Atlantic League idea. However, having lived in England for over 30 years, the one thing that was missing from your analysis is that Rangers could win 50 SPFL titles in a row and still would be looked on as ‘small time’. The only thing that gets looked at down here is how we perform in Europe. Last year’ Europa run raised a lot of eyebrows and it was gorgeous! WATP

Very moving words David. Twice in my life I seriously considered suicide and not once do I ever regret not doing it. Talking is the most difficult thing to do but once you have, it’s amazing how big a difference it makes

Mark

In terms of Rangers, this is the most depressed I have felt since Spring of 2018.

Steve Clark

I am pretty similar to David when it comes to the EPL.in that I am in the “careful what you wish for” camp.the novelty would quickly ware off if as I suspect mid table at best in our first couple of seasons.

Rona Bluebell

There is always a way forward, always change and always hope. First step is to reach out and say how you feel. 💙🤍❤️

If Tarquin and Farquar disrupt the OF game, the upper class twats will find out that oil is an excellent lubricant for sticking a flag up their arse.

John Myles

Snodgrass expressed his opinion to that wee snake Naismith about Neilson and the snake went right to board the wee rat

Fergie

Totally agree with your comments regarding the EPL. Looking at it another way if we had spent our entire 150 years playing in England how many times would we have been champions? Only three teams have reached double figures down there - Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal.

John Smith

Snodgrass never spoke to Naismith about Robbie. Craig Gordon told Naismith what Snodgrass had been saying in team meetings about Robbie

Graham Jones

I’ve never really wanted us to play in England, because we’ve always played in Scotland. I take most of your points, which are all logical but the access to marketing for the club would be enormous. We would gain access to markets that we struggle to gain in the Scottish lLeagues. It will never happen, because most of the EPL and all of the Championship would never vote for it. Besides, how would people feel about paying EPL prices for a season ticket? I know some people are not happy about a 5% rise for next season, so I just don’t think we it would sit properly. It would a be an interesting exorcise to tote up what the financial difference would be if we ever did go there. I think we underestimate just how much extra revenue we would have, but I’m not sure fans have any appetite for it. An expansive European set up is the more likely direction we will travel in the future, because that is where the game has been evolving in recent times., and it will only continue.

Heart and Hand

Much love, my friend. There were easily 500 people there yesterday. We couldn’t all get in. I just wish he’d known how loved he was.

Gregg

Regardless - Naismith is still a snake - hope they get fucked 10 - 0 in all their games and his body warmer catches fire. The wee prick

John Smith

I’m going to pellets for this but, I’ve got no Ill will whatsoever towards Naisy. I think the way he left has been totally misinterpreted. But again just my own opinion

Gregg

All about opinions - I wish a fair bit of ill will on him so good to have a bit of balance

David Baillie

Excellent points relating to player recruitment from the manager. Looking at the stats will never tell the whole picture. The old adage of “Lies, damned lies and statistics” certainly holds true In terms of player profiles. We need to be recruiting winners with a strong mentality. Our squad is full of good, honest, tidy footballers. We badly need a sprinkling of bastards to compete in this league. In my opinion the worst Scottish league ever. Now on a par ( Rangers and Celtic aside) with the Welsh and Irish leagues.

David

Sorry to hear about your pal, David. Nice touch at the end of the DU 👍
