Agree re Tilman - you aren’t signing the player he is now he has levels to go through. He has developed in his first year in senior football - his work rate has come on leaps and bounds from the start of the season albeit he hasn’t been a stand out against Celtic (he had a decent game at park head without being amazing)

Don’t get why people think we can drop Kent or Morelos to try the alternatives but expect them to drop back in and perform in the game versus them ? They wont be sharp, fit or focused so you either keep the team stable and tweak to the odd position or you go all in and try new things in every game. Those two in particular need games and have never performed coming in from the cold. Kent isn’t as good as he or others think, the stats show it, the lack of interest in him shows it and I would be amazed if he ever does anything spectacular for the rest of his career. In an era we have been desperate for ‘star’ players bang average people have had to fill those roles and we have lowered our bar for what actually constitutes real quality. Enjoyed the pod but the discussion just highlights how many key areas of the club really need a boot up the proverbial. It seems the senior management team is being sorted out, lets hope they get the resources to the football side needed to revive the squad but my main concern is still around Beales ability to identify the right players to develop a style thats successful domestically. Don’t want him sacked but I want to see he can pick a player, set up a team and be ruthless in the pursuit of winning. Cheers gents.

We can’t get conference league group stage. Only way to get conference football is to fail to qualify for UCL and then come 3rd in. EL. That would be a major drop off.

Some of the players we are wanting to get rid off, which would seem to be nearly everyone, it’s not going to happen. For example , I can’t see us getting rid of Jack, Arfield, Kamara , Lundstram and Hagi in this window. Three of five, perhaps four, but not all five

And the same applies for defence and forward positions. Outside of the ooc players , the show has said we’re going to get rid of about 12-15 players. No chance 18-20 players are going out of door this summer

I think Arfield and Lundstram will stay. But don’t really care if Lundstram is sold.

Good chat guys, of those OOC i expect only Jack & Arfield to get another year. Hagi might survive now if Tillman won't return. Spine of the side needs to be far stronger & signing quality at 1, 6 and 9 top priority.

There are 3 categories of players 1. Will definitely stay 2. Could go if we get an offer 3. Will definitely go. The problem with the squad rebuild is that category 2 is by far the largest group

Commercials are a big factor here. The likes of Arfield and Jack can do a job as squad players but on lower wages than they’re currently on. Matondo, Colak, Barisic, Davies, Lundstram will all be about what sort of offers we get for them. I think Tillman is worth $5mio and would buy him other things being equal but not if it means we cannot afford 3 other quality forwards.

Problem with wanting to sell all these players is someone has to buy them. We’ve not had a sniff for most of them so don’t hold out hope.
