Love it. A perfect blend of the Souness revolution and in my opinion has a similarity to the all blue 07-08 kit

John Smith

Also just noticed in the thumbnail, the Todd has a new Barnet !

The truth about the home strip is so long as it’ blue then people will buy it, but I would like to see a bit of innovation, which is different from the adventurous designs we get from Tottenham. We forget that the cycling top in 87-88 was innovative for a football top. I think they can go so far with the retro looks, and they will need to come up with something new for people to buy into. That doesn’t mean Jackson Pollock strips they seem to like in England, but something fresh and cutting edge. Rangers have a tradition for being pioneering throughout our history, so we should be upholding those through our strips from time to time. It’s about good design.

Charlie Nicolson

Hopefully, if we sign Dessers, we don't lose him for too long at AFCON at start of 2024

Top tune today David 👌

More often than not with me I see a leaked picture of the top don't like then see the players wearing it for the launch still won't be a fan of it then a couple months into the season I end up liking it with the exception of that blue and mustard printing from a couple years back must have worn that about 60+ times and thought that's hideous 😂

Iain watson

The strip will be as popular as the success we have in it 🔴⚪️🔵

Graeme McLeod

Hope the Butland signing works out, but a four year deal for a player who has barely kicked his own arse in three years and had significant injuries before that? Don't see this as the no brainer some do.

Bob MacCallum

David, sorry to be pedantic, but you used an expression today that many other podders have used recently ie. " the proof's in the pudding". The correct term is " the proof of the pudding is in the eating". Please issue an edict to all your minions / podders to insist on the correct usage in future. Ta.

Heart and Hand

No, it isn't. The phrase is a shortening of the original idiom, widely accepted as also being correct. Language develops.

Spoon

Really hope the club do find a place for Kevin Thomson in the set up that’s the rumours suggest. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and always a pleasure to hear talking about football if he genuinely is in the running that will be a positive appointment. The more guys with his fire and attitude we have around the place setting standards the better.

Graeme Macpherson

Mr Edgar, on behalf of Pedant's Corner, I would like to remind you that the proof of the pudding is in the eating, not the proof "is in the pudding" as has been mentioned on a near daily basis. On the next episode of Pedant's Corner, we examine whether "the cry was" in fact "no surrender" and if so, how can the followup possibly be "surrender or you'll die" unless our support are performing an elaborate call and response piece. I suspect not, and that it is a bastardization of the correct lyrics of the song Derry's Walls.

Heart and Hand

Nope, the phrase is a modern shorthand of the idiom, widely and correctly accepted as true. Language evolves, which is why we don't speak like we're in a production of Twelfth Night. See also contractions.

Heart and Hand

Contracted words, don't go looking for someone having contractions and say I sent you, we'll both get into trouble!

Graeme Macpherson

Does that mean you're on board with such indicators of illiteracy as: "I could care less" when the person in fact could not /couldn't care less; "Could / Would / Should Of" when it is "could / would / should have" (contraction would also be acceptable); or the FF make of "one of them" - "a roll on pie / sausage / bacon / egg / (other tasty fillings)"? We do blame the education of certain less erudite members of our society, but that doesn't mean we lower ourselves to their standards.

Heart and Hand

Ah but the continual re-shaping of language is one of the joys of it. It’s live, it evolves. You used ‘doesn’t’ which would have sent a Victorian schoolmaster into paroxysms of rage! Times change, blud 😀

Bob MacCallum

True but re-shaping or evolving doesn't necessarily mean improving in style or clarity of meaning.
