In terms of the plans for King, do you think there could be any possibility of him going on loan to Hamburg when fit? Since we have started the partnership with them, we haven't seen anyone move in either direction. Not sure the in and outs of the agreement but could loan deals be part of it?

Doubt it with us selling Mayo I’d imagine we need him for numbers and also homegrown numbers for Champions League.

Shaun McNaughton

If Robby McCrorie is to leave in his quest for first team football then surely we need another keeper brought in. Haven’t heard much mentioned on that front

I am not really satisfied with defensive options. Goldson-recovering from injury. Souttar-prone to injury. Davies-just doesn't convince. Balogun-4th choice who will likely endup 1st choice. King-injured and yet to breakout. We need better at centre half.

Surely the home-grown aspect of the squad has to be a concern. Currently we are have lost/are losing Alan McGregor, Scott Wright & Scott Arfield from the home-grown quota. There hasn’t been any Scottish players linked with us since the young fullback from Motherwell. This might mean guys like Jon McLaughlin, Kemar Roofe & Ianis Hagi aren’t selected for European squads and replaced with B team players

Can you explain why King wouldn't qualify under UEFA's rules? He went to Boclair Academy while at Rangers then came through our academy. He seems the very type UEFA insist on.

Craig Fryatt

Because you don’t need to register HG players under 21. They don’t count towards the 25 man squad

Bob MacCallum

Ta for that. So it has to be HG players over 21? We could have a 20 year old genius who came up through the ranks but he doesn't count for this quota? I cannot understand this type of convoluted UEFA thinking.

@possilproddy

The Celtic fans are doubting there hole team with the friendly result

Interesting how as a support we view Kamara, if he was sitting at another club he’s is the cookie cutter signing we would be chasing, solid academy background, technical ability, has hit high standards but recently lost his way, the right club and manager could turn him around…. That’s out transfer strategy in a nutshell recently. I think we need to look beyond the recent form we have had from him as I bet there are a lot of people who would speak to us about the input in recent seasons of some of our ‘star’ signings this summer, Kamara on paper probably is around the £4-£5 million mark and I am pleased to see the club at least starting at that kind of level for a transfer fee, like you guys I suspect it will go lower if he goes but the time for undervaluing our assets has passed and we need to be selling players like people sell used cars. The rattles, knocks and problems we know about from having them for a few years shouldn’t be pointed out to the potential buyer, we should be giving them a shine and tart up then pitching them as gems !

Claudio Reyna guys, chill .:..

Indeed, Bob. If the aim is to encourage youth development instead of cheque book management it seems a weird rule.

Defensively I've got some concerns over us but we seem to be focusing on rebuilding the attack. Even if we don't get Danilo, the fact we're throwing 6m at it lets me know we'll go after similar calibre players first. One more CB, Cifu, striker and we'll be ready.
