With Graeme Burns off to Austria on holiday to visit the Von Trapps, Hoggy takes the opportunity to fly solo and temperature check the Patrons on recent events.  There's some discussion on Austrian Rangers and memorabilia to break up the understandable concern on Planet Rangers!

UB, broomloan collective and any other active fans will be in the Copland front for the Morton game, I would assume this will continue at various matches over this season. Hopefully something official is announced for next season.

That old Main stand wooden seat pen holder is my favourite Gers item. I actually won it in a newspaper competition by writing a letter about a Rangers experience.

Right now I don’t think Dessers will be an upgrade on Alfie on goal contributions. He won’t have the lows of Alfie but I also don’t think he’ll have the same levels of highs.

Like hearing about the football memorabilia. Would be great if you done a show on this. I'm currently looking out some bits for when I buy a new house and build my Rangers mancave.

My brother has our great grandfather’s scarf. We reckon it must be close to 100 years old

I’d love to know what the fans think of the digital ticketing. Wednesday myself and a few other folk had problems with it. Get it back to the good old days of the ticket booth

Calum Robertson

Hoggy, our most famous Austrian is Brian Laudrup as he was born in Vienna

Paul

The Austrian history lesson was fascinating! Really enjoyed it. Also, the new microphone is much better

John Smith

Do you think Arnie’s a Ranger ?

Hoggy

Time will tell mate. I liked how he worked and put himself about first half against Servette. I always thought Alfie outside the box was good - likely due to his previous role!

Hoggy

I’m cool with it John I’ll admit. QR code on the phone and never had a problem. We have three season tickets, can’t get a fourth yet so buy every week. No issues.

Hoggy

Up there with Terry Butcher is our best ever Singaporean 😂😁

Hoggy

Thanks mate!! It was good to dust off the Rode mic. It’s been too long!

John Smith

It does work the vast majority of the time but much like our defence at the moment, there’s always that one glitch waiting to happen that gives me the fear

Just realised, after listening to the issue around seats, that I’ve never been in the Broomloan stand. Ever. How bizarre. 🤔

Memorabilia - in Sept 1963 Rangers played Real Madrid in the Bernabeau. Madrid gave every Rangers Player a Swiss watch with a tiny Madrid crest at the 12 o clock position. Harold Davis gave me his, Harold had it engraved on the back just after he got it with his name and match details. I've recently had it serviced, it works and holds time to perfection, it's 60 years old next month

Agreed with your thoughts on preseason Hoggy, I think the players would have benefitted from more games and building up from playing a few weaker teams to finish with the tougher challenges. I might be proved wrong in due course, but it seems a good approach. It's certainly always good for fan morale to see we beat some team 8-0 with two new strikers scoring hat-tricks and goals for another two new signings. Really good show this weekend. The story of the Austrian keeper was incredible.

Oooh you can feel Hoggy’s longing for that watch from here. Fabulous piece of memorabilia. Something wonderful about things that are mechanical

The best bit of memorabilia I have is a scarf full of badges. My dad got the scarf and first badge in 1964 and eventually I got it and kept adding badges. It's been a while since I counted but its around about 300 badges I'd guess.
