To mix things up a little and ensure recorded content is not lost, Hoggy decided to complete last weeks viewpoints (shared pre Livingston and Servette away) and try to balance then with the Livi win and Champions League playoff progression.

Then, something a little difference to lighten the mood and poke fun at ourselves - hot takes that we've had in the past that proved to be so wildly off the mark it's laughable!  A number were recorded pre-Killie game (and therefore not released!).....but if you like them and want to share yours, get in touch at hoggy@heartandhand.co.uk and we'll do a spin off for International week.

Tav stats are superb. Tav as a Captian, questionable. Not anywhere near enough trophies, too many soundbites after dreadful results and I think fans are now just really fed up of all talk no walk as far as winning shiny things goes. I know I am. Not just Tav to be fair. We absolutely must win the Lge this year, as a minimum. Dont, and all the moaning and anger will continue.

Spot on re Lundstram - he was at his best when he was playing on the front foot aggressively. He seems to drop a lot between the centre halves and takes too many touches and slows it down. Don’t know if it’s a confidence thing but he needs to be told to stop it. Re Dessers - mind de boer saying her heard the groans when he didn’t chase a ball down when it was obvious to him it was going out. After that, chasing after stuff and getting big cheers. Cultural thing I think - you’d think we’d have learned 😂😂

My hot takes were Aaron signed on loan from Valencia was going to be the next big thing. I mean he was a young Spanish winger from Valencia. He was kept out of the team by Lee McCulloch, Charlie Adam and even Kyle Lafferty playing as a left winger. All decent players to be fair but not exciting wingers. A non Rangers one was when Joe Cole signed for Liverpool I was convinced they would win the league that year. Gerrard and Cole playing balls for Torres would destroy the rest of the league and nobody else could see it except me…. Liverpool finished 6th, 22 points behind the winners The manager was sacked half way through the season Joe Cole was a flop Torres also left the club in January

It's pretty obvious that Tavernier's legs have gone. Very good player overall, but once you're no longer an asset to the team it's time to go.

My hot take is that Warburton is the best manager we have had since Walter when you consider budget constraints. Happy to argue it on a pod as well.

The comment from the poster about Tav is spot on. There is a reason Tavernier is a joke figure among the second class citizens and there is also a reason why they hated McGregor. One is a loser and one is a winner.
