Good to have a post match pod for the women's team again Stevie. I've really missed the previous pod with David, Laura and Chris. Thought you looked nice and trim at the game today, all that early morning running 🏃‍♂️ is paying off. There's a definite difference in the style of play. Thought some of the players still wanted to hold onto the ball a bit longer or pass it backwards rather than forwards. It was good to see Joe Potter encouraging the players those playrrs to be more positive. Kirsty McLean is a joy to watch in the centre of the midfield her ball control and passing is excellent especially against opposition who are much bigger than her. As you say Mia's goal was fabulous. Its been very encouraging the number of quality young players who are coming through the academy. I'm excited for the season ahead as we're only going to get better as the team gel with the new players and style of play. Thought the Aberdeen keeper did well in keep the scoreline down with a number of good saves.

Really interesting that the women’s team reaction to losing the league is to lean so heavily on youth rather than bring in experienced pros. More of the risk/reward Stevie refers to? Next 2 games will be much tougher than todays canter. Thanks for the coverage Stevie.

Great update Stevie. Do you know what the situation is with Brogan Hay? Injured? Not selected?

Stevie

Hi Chris, thanks mate appreciate that Injured mate, her and Megan Bell have knocks which will keep them out a few weeks I believe, or diagnosis at time was few weeks We are in safe hands with young winger Mia Mcaulay, at 17 she is an incredible talent

Chris Lamont

Mia seems a more than adequate stand in. Thanks for the reply and hope your team wins tonight 😉
