They’ll pose the same threat as last season. However their defence is ropey at times. If our attackers can be more clinical we will score goals vs them.

Jim McCutcheon

Thanks guys, expecting a tuff two leg tie but believe we can come through this 👍

Angus Mackay

Look forward to listening to this later. I think PSV are way to good for where we are as a team right now, which is a team effectively in its infancy. I hope people keep it in perspective when we likely get knocked out.

Lang, Dest and Tillman make the squad, Van Arnhold out

Russ

Fair point on retention and wingers, I feel like we miss that part of Kents game..he was regularly hitting 90% completion. Problem was he was terrified of scoring goals as well. Great listen lads.

In regards shirt pulling by our own defenders I'm like " why f*ckin do it " I'd much rather they challenged for the ball in a sense to either win it or put the player off but challenge in a non fouling manner ..... and if they get out jumped or beaten by pace so be it as you still have a keeper ..... Ps 3-1 Rangers

Spoon

Great pod as always gents and delighted to see the original format and line up return, its just not the same if you arent all on it. Totally agree with Alex about the pens, Dessers clearly kicks Broadfoot as he grabs his own foot and drops to the ground and why would a clear shirt pull ever be soft !? It’s one of the clearest fouls you will ever get, especially when Balogoun is sliding in at the back post trying to squeeze the ball in or across.

Christopher Fair

We can do it.... 2-0 rangers and go from there. There isn't any width in those teams and I don't see an alternative... Do you think this is a problem?

Craig

Enjoyed the pod as always. Is it my ears or does Steven keep calling him 'Ciquentes'?

Angus Mackay

great pod guys, thanks. The assessment of PSV is spot on. I hope people realise how good they are and keep it in perspective if it goes against us. We have a much more manageable task at the beginning of next month, let's not make that harder than it needs to be by piling undue pressure on the manager and players.

Your right, think the other thing to keep in mind is that our build up the Euro final season is potentially a peak and assuming we will perform the same way in the Europa as we did previously is a bit of faith given how the team has struggled. We can focus on tactics and set ups but we have been struggling domestically against teams who are well below our level, we didn’t make Servette easy and the idea we go and show up in the Europa isn’t based on the last 18 months it’s based on years ago. There’s no doubt there are teams in the Europa who are closer to where we should be but on current form I’m not sure we recapture the Euro momentum quick enough this season. Hope I’m wrong.
