Hopefully free cuddles included in today's daily update. Cheers in advance.

Martin Boyd

Not listened yet but hopefully it’s cathartic , prob not 😅 Tactically inept needs a big result Sunday.

iain crawford

I feel like I need a big knob joke special with you at Scott before Sunday to cheer me up 😊🇬🇧

Douglas Innes

Will listen on plane, call me old fashioned but surely we have to play players in their preferred position Danilo seems as if he would be better suited to the role cantwell played yesterday and play Cantwell in a position that he's excelled for us .... Not that it would matter we'd needed our team to be 7 or 8/10s last night the score reflected it better all 5/10

Brian Steel

Was trying to stay away from everything Rangers today, after yesterday! Like a moth to a flame, I'm back for more! No more than a win & three points at the weekend, should be accepted, after that last night.

Colin Mathie

Its the same garbage all the time from Beale and Tavernier, i've stopped listening to them.

Andrew Hillis

My basic tactical change suggestion which hot so roundly shot down would surely have worked much better last night! 3-5-2. Pack the midfield with Tav pushed one further forward and two men with pace up front! Just saying! But our esteemed manager with vast coaching experience gained from Chelsea, São Paulo, Charlton, Villa, Rangers and QPR and his fan boys know better! 🤣🤣🤬🤬😘😘

Andrew Hunter

Great point on the "scorched earth" mentality. Some of our support seem to be advocating changing manager every 12-18 months.

Russell McGhee

The reason we got more of the ball on the hour had nothing to do with substitutions and all to do with PSV deciding not to press us in possession.

Andrew Hillis

And btw - send that same tactical formation against Celtic and drop Raskin, Equadorian Boy and Lundstrum for Jack Dowell and Cantwell! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

George Higgins

What % of signings succeed ? Unless you’re buying mega millions quality then I’d say about 60%. If it’s all on Beale then if 6 succeed then that’s a pass. Problem he has is that all 9 came in at one window when normally numbers like that are spread over several windows.

The end point of the show hits the nail on the head, it’s time to stop over hyping this team. I’m genuinely not pessimistic but I am a realist and I think it’s time people actually looked at our position in terms of finance, structure, management and squad. I get that we hold ourselves as the best in class and hark back to the standards of old but we simply aren’t that club anymore and the football world isn’t what it was when we were on equal footing with the other clubs in Europe. I get why the fans continue to have faith and live in hope we are back to a level but the trophy cabinet doesn’t lie. Our squad has been over hyped dramatically and it’s almost like we can’t bear to admit we have a team of cast offs and journey men, these guys are not stars. The manager and his team were being hailed as a collection of football gurus with excellent pedigree but now in various places fans are being told they are new to management and need time. It can’t be both. We need to stop pretending. It’s fine to take time to rebuild, it’s ok to say we are a work in progress but we need to stop seeing a 10 minute spell as a turning point or a cameo off the bench is a player ‘arriving’ it only sets us up for unrealistic expectations. We need to take a sense check on where we are for me, the idea that those who can see areas of concern are reactionary social media influence looms is lazy and just not true. There are problems, some of which are years old or in the making with how this team performs on the field. We could absolutely change the mood and set ourselves up nicely for the international break by going out and playing to our potential as there is no doubt we have decent players and some who look like they have real potential but….we all know that equally we could set up in a negative defensive shape, some players could fail to show up and we could give that same boost back to our rivals, it’s happened so many times before recently. We need to put out our best 11 and stick to it for a bit, we need to stop tinkering and over thinking games, shapes and set ups but what we need most is to stop thinking the teams we play need us to adjust our whole ethos to take them on. Let’s starting playing our way, to our strengths and taking teams on, stop banging on about financial gaps, plastic pitches and low blocks. Let’s see the tactical tweaks and a proper style and I’m sure we have the players to do well this year. Time for excuses is over let’s just get after teams.

KennyY

I’m totally the opposite. Really enjoy listening to Beale. He’s going to win us the league this year. Everyone entitled to their own opinion.

David Bold

Beale signed about 26 'strikers' in the summer and we are all pinning our hopes on Roofe staying healthy and saving our season.

Heart and Hand

Andrew, we’ve literally switched to 352 half a dozen times in games this season, including last night?

Spoon

Given the circumstances Gio had in terms of the squadquality, lack of signings and injury woes I would argue we already brought in an untested manager with zero track record to replace a guy who could have been allowed time and the same opportunity to revamp a squad. Beale coming in as a project is one thing but he was made out by some, not all, to be a fully formed genius who turned us around. What he did was bum up a group of players who had taken the huff and didn’t seem to want to play the way the manager asked them to. I agree with you btw I made the point back then that we would have been better sticking with a guy and giving him time than jumping into another guys with no track record. I don’t want Beale to go particularly either but he needs to show far more and start to demonstrate he can learn and adapt because so far he’s just Gio with worse dress sense and patter.

Stephen

Wish we would buy players that specialise in one position instead of having about 6or 7 players that can do an wee bit in a variety of roles. That just leads to constant experimenting. I bet we still won’t be able to tell what our strongest starting 11 is by Christmas. I don’t see the point in changing manager/squads every season and having to start over all the time though.

Heart and Hand

That’s why Lundstram plays, so we can change to that formation during matches. We did it last night and conceded 4 goals in 25 minutes.

Spoon

Roofe is just the bird that cheated on you….things might seem good again for a bit but your always just waiting for the next time and you know deep down they can’t be relied on. His whole career is one season of good three of bad in any deal he has had. Class finisher but he clear has the structural integrity of a Stretch Armstrong.

Gregg

Anyone can say their team would have worked better - it’s all theoretical pie in the sky and means absolutely nothing. There wasn’t a huge amount of controversy around the team selection that I saw and it’s probably the team I’d have picked. Key elements of it didn’t perform which I don’t think was tactical sadly.

Brian Rae

The manager is trying to reinvent the wheel and many are using the excuse that PSV we're levels above us. They have the same core of players as last year, have lost Gakpo and Simmons and also missing half of their defense. They have brought in Lang and 1 other who started last night. They also upgraded their manager and we haven't. We had 6 from last summer start, 8 including January signings. That leaves 3 players, one was our GK meaning we started with 3 of our 9 summer signings. We were told that we would be signing starters, will they arrive tomorrow? Doubtful after his comments last night.

Andrew Hillis

Unfortunately David Lundstram has been disasterous in both positions this season! If he is one of the back 3 why the hell is Lammers left to mark De Jong for his free header! It doesn’t marry up. And it doesn’t explain why both Raskin and Cifuentes continue this season to be utter dug meat! Genuine question - do you think they are playing in the correct positions? Moving Cantwell further forward is not successful either in my humble opinion.

keith wright

Joking slightly, but some what serious too, how much would it cost to bring Katic back? We need his defensive aerial abilities back and his aggression!

Gregg

We should be picking the most appropriate players for the game - if that’s roofe then so be it. The price tag and who bought them shouldn’t come into it. I for one would be delighted with roofe starting off another striker - cannae stay fit but when he does he’s a superb player - finishing and movement are sublime.

Gregg

He’s a poor man’s John Souttar - who I’ve having serious doubts about also

keith wright

I’m not blind, he’s not John souttar with a ball at his feet, but I’d much rather have a center back that could defend with his head. To me a center half need to be able to defend!

David cation

What annoys me, is this team is incapable of doing the basics in defence. It’s the same players making the same mistakes. Unless we fix this, we will be trophy-less again.

Gregg

Katic is nowhere good enough - cult hero but he’s not the answer

David Campbell

I must admit am a little taken aback by the reaction. Seeing posts online that beale is under pressure Sunday is must win. Sunday has and will always be must win regardless of what happened last night. Go into Sunday win the game and we are 2pts clear QF of the cup and in the Europa league. At the beginning of the season we'd have taken that at the first international break. Disappointed yes but let's no throw the baby out the bath water.

Heart and Hand

No, I think a big part of our problem is trying to put square pegs in round holes. Cantwell is an excellent example. Played several positions already. Just put him where he works best and stick to it.

Rona Bluebell

I think we’ll win on Sunday. 😊

Mark

I tend to fall more into the Strider aka Jesus camp of being patient and taking mitigating factors into consideration in the face of disappointment - however there can be no excuses made for not performing against the beast on Sunday.

Gregg

I don’t listen to interviews or half time/ full time analysis. All just chatter - adds nothing to my enjoyment of the match.

James Cameron

We are totally screwed with the SPFL TV deal I cant see us getting to the next level in Europe

Billy Forrester

I’m quite calm today and accepting that we are not at the levels of the Champions League and we would like last year get a dry humping every game so Europa will do for me fine. We are a good side domestically and for me that’s our bread and butter. We have the tools and the squad to win all competitions domestically this season and I expect to, that’s serious. This side are and will continue to look better each week, Our players are good, just not Champions League good and that’s the difference. We will beat Celtic Sunday, I have no doubts in my mind on that as I think we have better players all over the park.

Rod

People obsessing about our lack of net spend is strange, celtic have only been net spenders once in their last 5 summers.

David Bold

We should be picking our best players for every game. Roofe is our best striker, imo. Let's see who Beale trusts when he picks his lineup for the biggest game of the season so far.

Spoon

Your right of course David, that’s the whole point we love him and we might have the odd cracking night together again but know it will ultimately end in tears….I don’t give a monkeys who scores for us, I would take a Lundstum hat trick but it won’t change the underlying issue !

Ally Auld

@Hoggy do you have the charity link bud?

David Bold

That's always going to be the caveat with Roofe, but hopefully we get a run out of him for an extended period. Maybe, Danilo will come good but I'm concerned that he isn't trusted to play against Ross County, never mind in a big game like PSV. Surely a Shankland or similar would be a better fit if this is the role Danilo will play. Cheaper & scores goals for fun domestically.

David Innes

If someone told me before the start of the window the only centre half we’d sign would be Leon Balogun I wouldn’t have believed them. We absolutely need another one in tomorrow or we can forget even challenging for the league this season

G Calder

You are 100% correct regards the idea that we are going to get someone to just hand over millions to but played - It’s never going to happen ! I think some people think that’s how the rat David Murray worked ! We NEED to be a break even self sufficient Club ..

David Innes

Disagree that we have the tools to win all domestic competitions- a couple of defensive injuries and we could easily see a repeat of last season

maccalsa

Yup, that sums it up sadly. We signed a striker from a relegated serie A club, a striker who was loaned to 2 serie A clubs in one season, one which was relegated and a striker with a good season behind him that sits on the bench for some reason. Not sure what we were expecting

Colin McL.

The EL is due to past performances and failure in the CL qualifiers. The League Cup, we got a fortunate penalty to get back into the game. Performances have been poor and is becoming apparent Beale doesn’t know what he wants. He needs a win on Sunday.

Trev @JimmyBell_Loyal

If Beale doesn’t think that was a hammering then he is delusional 😂
