Thanks guys appreciate your informative work 👍

Kieran Dowel has a minor knee issue. He had knee issues before we signed him...do we ever learn. And what a surprise Borna is fit. The fact he is still first choice LB is another scandal. Beale is delusional if he believes that defence is adequate. Anyway, win on Sunday or else...

So is Colin saying no question should be asked about tactics because the person asking the question isnt qualified in tactics??

Nicky Dock

Seems like thats what he said when Stevie was explaining why he asked the questions he did. Seemed a weird thing to say. q

Colin

More that you couldn’t ask some of the “tell him his tactics are shite” questions you hear on Twitter and the like.

Nicky Dock

I appreciate you cant just come outright and say his tactics are shit even though they are but I still think he can be questioned on his tactics rather than.... well you cant ask a question on tactics as you're not qualified in tactics. He absolutely should be held accountable for them and questioned in these things.

Gregg

Maybe ask to explain the tactics and whether it was felt it was a tactical or an execution issue that cost us. Or other.

Twitter seems to be the excuse to write off any opinion that questions the manager or team, it’s just a part of life where people discuss what they used to in pubs or the back of taxis. The idea that because it’s happening on social media (which platforms like this are part of) seems to irk a lot of people it would be more useful to address the issue regardless of how it’s communicated. I get some views sit at the extremes but we seem to simultaneously want fan discussion and opinion but be content to discard the ones that don’t fit comfortably. What happened to it’s all about opinions ? The stuff discussed online is a broad spectrum of stuff it’s not all batshit crazy the way it’s made out to be. Just think it’s a bit lazy sometimes even those who flirt at the extremes aren’t always wrong.

Heart and Hand

No it’s not but the extreme stuff while occasionally right is like wading through shit to find an occasional piece of gold. Especially now people are getting paid for tweets if they get enough reaction, it’s like a hot take fishing festival. And while opinions are all great fun part of putting it out there is that other people can say it’s nonsense.

Heart and Hand

I would also point out that social media for the likes of Stevie isn’t always just about opinions, if people are unhappy they feel they have a right to abuse others. It’s not always a fun experience.

Gregg

Most online patter is just instant views that folk wouldn’t necessarily post if they had the chance the think about it. I include myself in it. I’d suggest if you did similar you’d cut it down to six or seven paragraphs as well 😘

We wont sign any more players. The board want to push through with revenue growth, and that means stadium expansion. Don’t be surprised when you heat the club announce plans to go ahead next summer, where we will be committed to a £20m plus project. We all know this has to happen, but at the expense of getting the squad right just isn’t on. The goos side of it will be getting more bears into games, but it will mean a longer squad rebuild. Borna will get to walk away for nothing at the end of the season, so we really have this trading thing under control, huh?

Spoon

David appreciate your point and when It comes to giving folk abuse it’s just not on full stop. You rarely listen to an online podcast (not just H&H) where social media discussion is almost written off as a lunatic fringe when much like in here it’s just reflective of many many different views. Regardless of an individuals view there will be others who see it differently and while some might be extreme it’s the broad generalisation and writing off of a platform that’s the lazy bit. Justifiably or not in some cases the jury is out in the support about lots of elements of the club, team and management and only consistently winning will change it. Personal attacks aren’t on but if you go public with opinion, like in here it’s rare it will be universally agreed with. There will always be those who don’t agree with it and have a different view, it isn’t always just thrawn for the sake of it.

We have invested heavily in the forward areas and seem to have not managed to get the LCB we needed unless Ben Davies hits some good form. That’s a big if based on last seasons form. Aside from that if Yilmaz returns and pushes Borna then we go as we are. Hopefully maybe going 3 at the back allows us to get a better balance out wide and across our midfield.

We keep talking about squad rebuilds. We won't get that opportunity any more. A squad rebuild takes multiple transfer windows if we were to sign a worldy in a fluke transfer in a summer he would be gone at Christmas. Unless you mean squad rebuild as in sign other poor teams cast offs from big leagues that can't defend create or score outside of Scotland :(
