Adam & Ally are back to have a chat about all things tactics.

We take a deep dive into Niko Raskin's start to the season and what we see as his best position.

We also discuss the evolution of Rangers tactical principles over the last few years and when an ever-changing starting 11 stops being about flexibility and more about chaos.

Can't believe you did Danny Candeias dirty like that 😝 In all seriousness, I think we were kinda stupid for letting him go when we did. We haven't seen a proper right winger since.

Gregg

Loved him - the coaching staff said he wasn’t very good (productive). They were right, I was wrong

Mark

Sweet. I have this and Seagulls to listen to tomorrow before Rangers depress me.

Raskin not an issue for me at all. Beale the issue with chopping and changing starting line ups, playing players out of position and overthinking everything. He causes the chaos.

Andrew Watson

Clearly Beale wanted to play a diamond mf behind two strikers: Raskin Cifuentes Cantwell Lammers Danilo Dessers

Nico

Wonder what his plan B will be now that it’s been proven to be shite

AGS

Hopefully next season Tav, Goldson and Barisic get phased out

My issue is that I don't think we're well coached in an attacking sense. The 'big improvement' Beale got out of Ryan Kent was basically unchaining him from the left wing and letting him do what he wanted. There wasn't actually any structure to what Kent was contributing. Cantwell seems to be doing the same, I don't get the impression at all that he has any sort of defined role.

Really good points about the chances we make being low quality, how many times have we shifted defences to allow back post tap ins or similar style goals, they have happened but not enough. Our approach is too predictable and squad not talented enough to create enough moments of magic on a regular basis to get us out of trouble.

Mark

Holy smokes. Having all of this laid out so clearly is grim to say the least.
