Do you think the opposition are avoiding Butland when he's claiming high balls and crosses? Give it a season and you'll see some attackers doing their own heads in against him I reckon, like down south and Becker when he's 1v1.

Danilo is the best at pressing I’ve seen from a Rangers striker…I think Sima is going to be the real deal (just wish he was ours)…my only annoyance today was Cantwell playing like a wee boy chasing the ball over the playground,he really needs to sort his game management and his need for stupid fouls…better opposition will just pop the ball round us if he’s going to just charge about the park,aimlessly….Get well soon,David.

I’m really struggling not to get carried away with what we’re seeing . . . Great change of tempo in our play, great pressing & some of these guys we totally wrote off are starting to show up well. Have to say though, when I saw Cantwell picking up that booking could just hear Cammy’s sigh of frustration!

If you'd told me a month ago after Wright chucked it and got himself sent off against Aberdeen that I would want him starting over Cantwell then I'd have had you sectioned. He's been really good since Clement took charge.

Their penalty wasn't clear at all. Not one of the views showed any sort of contact clearly. Also since when did brushing someone someone equal a foul. The way VAR is being used is killing the game.

I’ve said this for years now,maybe with the exception of Super Ally,I can’t recall a single player in our history that’s saved our bacon on so many occasions tgan what Tav has….his trophy haul won’t make great reading but that’s a team issue but on an individual level,he’s different class.

I might be alone in thinking this but I don't see what cantwell brings to the team other than giving away needless fouls and picking up silly bookings. I genuinely think he'll be away in the summer and tbh I won't be that bothered

Clement's start has really exposed how much energy I was expending worrying about how shit Rangers were. I've got that sense of 'what do I do now?' you get after working your arse off for months then going on a couple of weeks annual leave. It's nice to be able to listen to the post match shows without hoping it'll calm me down a bit. One observation, I had the same reaction as Colin when Dessers tried the overhead kick. Burst out laughing rather than got excited at the prospect of a goal. I remember that happening with Sebo and wonder if there is a way back for him now, probably not.

You’re not totally alone,David…I would still play him before Lammers but I think Cantwell flatters to deceive more often than not….even last season,he came in when we were in a really bad place and gave a bit of energy but not much more,especially in the big games…just another example of the fan base’ desperation for a hero imo.

He’s the one player who’s standards and attitude doesn’t change,yes he’s had bad performances like every player in the world has…I just find it astonishing that when we go through a rough spell,that Tav is the first one who gets it in the neck….it bamboozles me tgat he gets it and the ones who get away with murder yet contribute nothing.

If you think of the full backs we’ve had through the years from Stevens,Munro to Clelland,Ross,Ricksen,Muscat,Ball etc none of them could lace Tavs boots but the key difference is the match winners these guys had alongside them to get the team out of sticky situations….Tav IS that guy that gets us out of those types of situations time and again.

Best wishes to the podders. Tavernier was MOTM for me yesterday and in not just popping in the penalty (underrated skill to out-balls a ballsy goalie call) and the superb free kick, but he had one covering clearance in the first half when he stepped into centre of defence to clear away a dangerous break. He'll underhit or overhit passes and these will be focussed on by the doubters but I don't see many players at our level who don't. I was right at the front of the North yesterday when he reset after his free kick goal, and he was geeing us up and going round the rest of the players to keep up the tempo - that was at 3-0. Great to see.

Think Colin said on show ‘what a player he’s been for us’. But equally, he was getting criticism earlier in the season because he was playing badly. Physically he didn’t look what he’d been. When he plays well he gets praise. Same as everyone.

Cantwell one was not a booking, ref fooled by Cochrane holding face. That said he didn't need to make the challenge. Great to have that enthusiasm, just needs channelled. Good problem to have
