Hoggy is back, this time with Patron and all-round good guy Craig Fryatt.

They talk:

- Craig's background with Rangers and travelling the globe

- First game, first Ibrox game, best memories and favourite/best players

- Why Rangers fans crave the return of players and what's the pathway for youth

- And (thanks to Craig Anderson), what is the reason for such a fast turnaround under Clement

In San Francisco just now but away before the game on Sunday, as would have watched the game at the RSC.

Great show guys!!!! Have watched post match leipzig hundreds of times. I got four tickets for the final in the uefa ballot - add in wee jimmy passing and it was mega emotional. I burst into tears after Kamara scored 😂😂

Gregg

I’d love to get Kent back - won’t be popular but I do love the wee mad goth bastard

Craig Fryatt

As a wrestling fan I preferred it when you wrote Kamala scored to the Kent comment

Great pod lads 👏….I think that 90% of the upturn in performances is quite obvious and it’s the fact that Danilo is starting and not Dessers…if anyone has played any level of football then you know how important it is to have a good CF on your side,it shapes almost every aspect of how you play as a team….it’s no coincidence that the best performances over Gerrards reign was when Morelos was at his best then when he phoned it in or couldn’t be arsed the whole team went to shit.

Allan

For the fitness issue, you just have to look at the managers. Gerrard was slim and fit and looked every bit like he could still do a job for 20 minutes at our level. Then there was Beale. Does he look like a guy who looks after himself? Then there's Big Phil, again a guy who clearly looks after himself. For me, it's a case of standards. Personal and club standards took a drop with Beale.

Craig

Another good pod. I 100% agree with Craig that we’ve missed the bastard effect. It’s been great to see how he deals with the press, also how the 4th officials doesn’t get peace and also the players getting coached through the games with him pulling them over in breaks of play. Communication is a key to any job, Clement showing it’s a big part of his approach in different scenarios.

The team wasn't fit under Gio either and he was hardly overweight. Think you're being a bit unfair to MB, his physique had nothing to do with the fitness issues the team has. There's plenty of more rotund managers who had superfit teams.

Gary Shaw

I don’t buy into the whole “the team aren’t fit” stuff…in terms of general fitness and stamina they’ll probably be the fittest team or at least on a par with the other mob in the league….it’s more a confidence issue…under GVB is the perfect example,we went to extra time 4/5 times in big games and ALWAYS looked the fittter team wether that was against Braga,Hearts,Celtic and even Frankfurt..it’s just when we came back to play a run of the mill league game when the league was gone,it was hard to get up for it which too many people would then point to fitness….
