Sleep well Reverend 🙏

Russell McGhee

When are the club going to comment regarding the media pile on after Sunday's game? Our continued silence only emboldens our many enemies within the media, both written and broadcast.

Tamus

An honest man here lies at rest, As e’er God with His image blest: The friend of man, the friend of truth; The friend of age, and guide of youth: Few hearts like his, with virtue warm’d, Few heads with knowledge so inform’d: If there’s another world, he lives in bliss; If there is none, he made the best of this.

Martin Boyd

Echo your thought on David Holmes, being a generation or so older than you those years prior to his chairmanship were awful going just was habit . While he was the best thing for the club his successor was the opposite , thin skinned , self serving and money grubbing.

Jim Milne

They won't. If they do the hysteria will only get louder and pike more pressure on the Cup Final officials. In saying that the SFA should be charging Robson with bringing the game in to disrepute.

Martin Boyd

As you said about JG , David Holmes is the same it’s the collective, how we do/ did , not the big me. It could well be a generational thing as there seemed to be plenty of these sort of guys around years ago now not so much.

Heart and Hand

Aye, maybe. Though to be honest I’d hate to be growing up now where everything is recorded and your mistakes are there forever!

Martin Boyd

Well that is certainly true , I would have been cancelled before I made real adulthood 😂

Allister

Would be great to get an interview with David Holmes. Sounds like a story that needs to be retold.

Craig McQuarrie

Thanks so much for the lovely words David, Stuart will be missed by many.

George Higgins

Sad and uplifting update David.Rev. McQuarrie will be missed. Really good to see David Holmes brought back to Ibrox . Men like him and John Greig epitomise the “no man is bigger than the club” ethos. Hats off to whoever at Ibrox arranged this.

Andrew Carter

A wee nod to Geordie Walker KJ , another one way too soon 🎶🥲

Haining84

Can’t wait to read his book. That’s my Christmas sorted out.😁

Steve Clark

No offence David but I would love to hear martyn ramsey interviewing David Holmes.i would have David Holmes in the hall of fame that is how high I regard the man.he is easily one of the most important men in my rangers supporting lifetime.

Graham Jones

Bombers put-down is hilarious, “he was a youth player of mine, who had the talent of going down without being touched”. 😂 i mean, there’s no comeback from that one. David Holmes rebuilt the club, and he removed people who had dragged it down for years. As for Murray, he did what Holmes was likely to do next, which was build a corporate business around the club. David Holmes made the most important signing at the time, which was Souness. Without him there would be no influx of English internationals. It’s still debated who brought in Walter Smith, though. Some say it was Graeme, and others say it was David Holmes, som you could say that he signed the man who became, probably, the most important individual in our modern history.

William George Bell

You can bet your life if John Greig and Bomber had been playing last Sunday we’d have come away with 3 points.

Robbie McCarroll

I thought Bombers comments were spot on would love them to get more public headlines. Have to admit the latest media attention on us has skunnered me a little I’m fed up with the Agenda or Stupidity. Today’s pod has lifted me a little with that and Holmes story sounds like we need him and Bomber working here still !

Jamie

I went to private school with his Daughter Elaine since age 11 and fancied the pants of her - amazing guy, met many times

Gary Brown

Agreed. Martyn would be best for this due to the shared ground with the Dominant book. Time and deeds prove whether Mr Holmes or Murray were true Rangers. Thanks for the update David. Condolences to Rev McQuarrie's friends & family.

Jamie

Almost 20 years to the day David - I started working at at whisky company and still there - DH walked in many times for meetings as the main dude as manager of our Co-Op partner

Rose Mcloughlin

Sorry to hear the sad news..sympathy to his family..He was such a lovely person. Congratulations to John Gregg well deserved..loved working with him esp in the press room where John ruled with an iron fist when he protected young or new players from awkward questions..great person..great players. Will be interested in Davids book..as was there during David Murray/sounness time but admit dont know what happened with David holmes...glad to hear you are sounding better David.

Bill Ramsay

David Holmes is a straight up Rangers legend, what he did to our club was nothing short of amazing. Anyone young enough not to remember what Rangers were like probably won't understand how seismic the change in the club was when he came in.

Stewart Robertson

If it wasn’t for David Holmes, a teenage me would never have ran on to the pitch after the St Mirren game.

John F

Chooooonnn

John Walker

Sad news with the passing of Stuart and also my hero Goerdie Walker. Thanks for putting that song on David much appreciated.

Greig Massie

Mr McQuarrie was Minister at our Wedding at Ibrox Stadium. A gentleman indeed.

Nicholas Dickson

I once seen John Gregg in Tesco with his wife and couldn’t believe such a legend did his own shopping . But really that just shows how much a down to earth humble man he is
