I’ve said numerous times I think he’s a striker but I’m starting to come round to the idea that if he’s playing in a wider area and getting that amount of goals(something we’ve been screaming out for,for years)then why should we change it?….I would rather we concentrated on finding a proper centre forward plus have Sima scoring goals from a wide position.

Same. I'd rather bring in a striker and leave him where he is. Can't remember us having a wide player capable of getting 20.

Just don’t see the point in changing one of the few things that is regularly working for us,David….if it’s not broke then don’t try to fix it…my fear is that he’s going to attract interest from a bigger league and it’ll be out of our hands to get him.

Excellent listen guys. I wasn’t hopeful when I saw him in pre-season - I thought he looked like a bigger Sakala. But his tactical awareness, team ethic and finishing has proven to be streets ahead of Fashion. Even when he isn’t having a good game with the ball he’s so effective off it. A thought that occurred to me earlier this week was ‘what would the season have looked like if we hadn’t signed him on loan?’ As lieutenant George said in Blackadder, “it’s a thought, and not a jolly one”.

Similar reservations at the start, attitude and output has been excellent. Just feels like we are polishing him up for someone else to grab and get a real player or for his own club to make some money. Great talent just a shame he’s not ours. Too early and too small a sample size to start making him our top target though and if he was costing us £4m plus we should be cautious.

Thanks for the pod Adam & Ally. Always great to hear a bit of realism, analysis and thoughts regarding the actual abilities of players, practicalities of systems and the reality of the game. Wonderful listen. Keep up the good work lads, I really enjoy your shows.

What a load of drivel, to compare the arguments of Tav and Bougherra moving and the one for Sima is ridiculous. Bougherra is a cb and Tav is a rb and the argument was to move them out of position. Sima however is a striker and being played out of position. To try and claim he can’t play there or he will struggle etc again is ridiculous given he is a striker and we are the only club that hasn’t used him as one or identified him as one. Prague, Brighton, Stoke & Angers all signed him, announced him and played him as a striker.
