Treble?! The PRODruple is on!

Jamie

Quadruple surely?

Scott Thomson

A lot of time for CJ Novo, good lad 👍🏻

Graeme Guthrie

I think topping the group had been massive. Europe is done, parked until March. We can focus on the league, focus on January and bed players in without that additional pressure.

Jim Milne

We should all remember one of the first questions Clement was asked at his press conference was regarding whether the captaincy houkd be removed from Tav. His mental strength is huge.

Dougie

Finals for the natural? Have we ever played a league game for naturals? Let alone a final? It’s us v the rest😇

Bill Jones

Congratulations to Martin and family. Is there a link to 4 lads? Yes I’m lazy.

Gordon Mitchell

Tav haters are like Flat Earthers. No matter what facts are presented they aren't open to changing their minds.

Greg

Great listen and well done on the arfield pod I listened this morning and it was class, he just comes across as totally sound.

Bixby Snyder

I'm over the moon for Dessers. All season long, he's been trying that intricate dummy, where he leaps for a ball and deliberately lets it fly over him. Well, on Sunday, it finally worked and allowed Tav to score. Well done, Cyriel!

Gordon Mitchell

The League Cup matters for Treble Winners.

Gordon Mitchell

What ruse will Celtic try this year to postpone the game?

Angus Mackay

Great pod lads. I think great credit is due to Bennett and Bisgrove, they made their first managerial appointment under an awful lot of pressure, and they appear to have totally smashed it. I think we also all need to listen carefully to the manager’s carefully worded plea for calm when the inevitable set backs happen. They’ve shown they can win, so let’s get behind and stay behind the team for the whole season and who knows where it’ll take us.

Tamus

Much like those who forgive him for every goal we lose from the right back position.

Heart and Hand

Yeah they did well not to listen to Souness, which must have been tempting, and stick with their choice. He’s a big handsome winner is Phil!

Angus Mackay

He just seems to get it 100%. He knows how we think, because that’s how he thinks too. Exciting times!

Calum Downham

Great pod as always, disagree with the point about Gerrard though. I don't believe he has the same skills a Smith or Clement posses as Rangers manager. There's a reason he's in Saudia right now, huge name, big personality but lacking the right mentality/charisma as manager. St Johnstone won the double in his most succesful season as Rangers manager. Clement carries himself as manager in a way that Gerrard either hasn't learnt yet, or is incapable of doing so. He won't learn that in Saudia either $$

Heart and Hand

Nah, he had presence. He got us believing again after an utter shitshow, European respectability. What he lacks is man-management skills of elite players. Rangers players would do anything he asked as they were in awe of him. They aren’t in England.

Calum Downham

I get your point, he has man-management skills to a certain level. I'm grateful that we went from a bush dwelling manager to someone with his stature, what he achieved in Europe, made us competitive again and of course 55. But David, what would you know about his presence.... it's not as if you've been in the same room as him, or directly asked him questions..... :D

Heart and Hand

I think he’s a very limited ‘coach’ and down there you can’t get away with it against the guys. You’re right about Saudi, money and nothing else.

Russ

It's a fair point, our fanbase in particular take to someone who is a bit no nonsense - when Gerrard went down south and took his curt replies with him the Villa fans just thought he was a narky prick after a couple of months.

Russ

And idk if he has presence or not but Emery has come in and is a class act in his interviews and how he handles himself.

Heart and Hand

Oh he does. And he has status. Top players expect to be coached by top managers. So either they need to have respect from previous achievements (Emery) or go in and win them over quickly (Postecoglou). Gerrard up here was a superstar and we were a bit fanny dazzled, to Villa fans he was an inexperienced manager they had hated as a player.

Allister

Wonder what percentage of teams who won the league cup went on to win the league..?

Gary Shaw

Not every goal that gets scored coming down that side means it’s his fault and the same goes for the opposite side, that’s just nonsense….his levels are ridiculous and he’s got us out of jail more than any player I remember…

Gary Shaw

Steven Gerrard was exactly what we needed at the time….he made us a proper team again that had us punching well above our weight in Europe and the fact he won us 55 and stopped us from a lifetime of gloating from that mhob,he will always mean the world to me.

Scott Gall

Great input from CJNovo. Could of ended the pod there

Heart and Hand

He has had 115 goals and 112 assists. So can you provide 227 mistakes leading to goals he’s made? Otherwise it isn’t debatable at all.

Amanda stewart

I would absolutely be loving this in real time and I’m buzzing for everyone connected to this beautiful club. I lost my dad today and my brother and law tragically took his own life and it’s all happened in the space of a week. I watched betis and Sunday with tears but knowing that others are going through sad times themselves maybe worse than I am just now. I feel right now I can’t watch rangers ever again the same as I did but I know I will in time.

Callum

Great show. Clement’s eye for Dijon Sterling is a revelation. Awful fullback - can’t cross and even when he finds himself defending in the FB position in the last 2 games, he got skinned and/or let the cross in far too easily. But he has a physical presence in midfield (speed, athletic and strong), which we have sorely lacked. He is clearly intelligent enough to adapt so quickly, let’s see how his passing game develops.

Gary Shaw

Sorry for your loss,Amanda…it feels like this just now and it feels like the pain will always be this sore but it’s a case of battling through and it DOES get easier,it just takes time….All the best pal and you know all the bears are here for a chat if need be ❤️🤍💙

Gary Shaw

If Tav had as many own goals as Butcher or had gave as many pens away against Celtic as Gough or had the Red cards that Ferguson/Amo/Ricksen had then you would want him murdered….And before I hear about trophies blah blah blah these guys I mentioned played in the best Rangers teams of my lifetime and against some of the worst Celtic sides…Tav isn’t the reason we haven’t been as successful as we would have liked, just like the other guy aren’t the sole reason we were successful…they were successful because they played with other wonderful players….

John Walker

Sincere condolences to you Amanda. I'm sure everyone on the heart and hand network is wishing you all the best at this sad time.

John Palmer

Truly tragic news for what should be such a joyous time of the Year. My condolences to You and Your Family 😔

Gregg

That’s horrible Amanda - condolences to you and your family.

Gary Brown

Thanks for the Flagship pod lads.

David Murdoch

What Gerrard inherited after pedro/murty I can forgive him for not winning a cup, the only thing that matterd was to stop them getting 10. And he done it.

Callum Dinnen

Celtic have done it the last 6 times they've won the League Cup. You have to go back to when Ronny Deila was manager for the last time Celtic won the League but not the League Cup.

Colin Gardner

See the feeling you had after Leipzig, the feeling of absolute euphoria, that was down to one man mostly. Take his goals away and we don't get near that final. I actually wonder if enjoy supporting us!

Callum Dinnen

Since Souness (going from 1986 because IMO that's when you get a significant shift towards the Old Firm in terms of trophies), we've won 15 League Cups. On 11 of the 14 previous occasions we went on to win the league. Celtic have won it 12 times, and gone on to win the league on 10 occasions. On 5 occasions the League Cup has gone to one half of the Old Firm with the League going to the other half, and there are 10 occasions where neither us or them won it.

Gregg

To the victor the spoils - if the chips had fallen the other way we’d be hearing two defensive mids against Aberdeen (and of them a full back). Think sterling has had an average start at full back - awful is incredibly harsh.

Douglas Innes

David Edgar " there's few players I'd like to go through " ....... could said the same thing in September and it would have a totally different meaning but both totally justified

Scott McDougall

Brilliant flagship pod guys, the absolute meltdown our cup win has caused continues to both astound and be hilarious, long may it continue!! 💙
