Rangers need to ask the SPFL to write to Celtic asking for the necessary info to come up with a figure for away spectator numbers. This will come into play if agreement can’t be reached. This was the excuse given by Doncaster and co for not giving a figure last time. If Celtic don’t cooperate then we can go public and make it clear who is causing the problem. It also exposes the uselessness of the SPFL if they don’t act.

Jesse Malin, poor guy. Our Gaffer is brilliant. If you take his words at face value then it's obvious he is a shrewd operator. It'll be interesting to see how his responses are regarded when the fans aren't as happy with him, mind. I recall Advocaat being a genius with the press in his first two seasons and a plum for the rest of his time here.

Thanks David...we stand our ground to those bullies on the other side of the city..loved the daily tale can imagine thats how we would all be...I worked in the players lounge during his reign there wonderful days...but didnt see much of the games ..would love to have been a fan and watching that team play.. but ofcourse I have other special memories...those days will come back...55 wasnt a one off.

I thought there was no old firm anymore and we were a new club. Why are Celtic so intent on getting back to 8000 tickets for Ibrox? They really are a weird bunch. We should just follow the rules and force Celtic to declare their “concerns” and also push the SPFL into a corner. Liewell be looking to his placemen to do what he wants and when they do Rangers can call it out (again)

Exactly, Alastair, typical have cake and eat it attitude from that lot. If they see the fixture as just another game then why should they expect their visiting support to be treated differently from any other club?
