The Draft takes a new turn this week as David Marshall, James Forrest and Dr Alex Oliver battle it out to try and complete the strongest Draft Card that best represents the sporting year of 2012. The six categories were:

- Sportsman

- Sportswoman

- Team

- Achievement

- Surprise/Disappointment

- Moment/Minute of the year

Martyn marked them and you will have to do the same later in the week. With one obvious exception, sit back and listen to a glorious year of sport.

For me, the biggest sporting disappointments in 2012 were young Yohan Blake, a juiced Justin Gatlin & a aged Asafa Powell getting bodied by Usain Bolt and the Ryan Lochte vs. Michael Phelps swim race rivalry being a non-event. I'm a big fan of Phelps and Bolt accomplishments in their own right of course but I'd hope for more competition.

Sorry David, Peyton Manning did get 2 rings, 1 with the colts and 1 with the broncos

Craig Fryatt

Well Done David, you owned that Now about this Simpson’s show……

Ryan Macdonald

Really enjoyed that, first time listening to one of the draft shows.

Glad you enjoyed it Ryan. Plenty of more to go back and listen to and tonnes coming up.

Bomber Brown

Saying Andy Murray was the 4th best tennis player only enhances his achievements of 2012. Who he had to overcome makes it a more remarkable year for him, not the opposite, as was (poorly) attempted to be argued.

Laura McCrimmon

Another great show and once again David brings the fun to it and also think he has the best draft card for that year.

I agree completely! But bear in mind that the guests are not always 100% serious when trying to bring down the choices of their competitors…

Eric Stewart

Imagine somebody saying ice hockey is boring then straight away talking about golf 🤣
