There were a few moments where he managed to beat 3 or 4 players and set up shots just in the box. I personally think he gets more stick than he deserves

I don’t rate him at all - he is the same now as he was when he signed. Decent now and again, decision making is poor consistently. Simply not good enough - the fact that a young lad has come in ahead of him says it all really.

I agree that he’s inconsistent Gregg. I do think he’d benefit from more runs in the team. But I think that speaks more to how good McCausland is than how poor Wright is.

It’s not a knock on young Ross - he has been excellent. If you’re Wright, a lad who wasn’t one felt to be knocking on the first team door, comes in and nails down your position. You are back to being a sub in the main. Time to move on.

I think I'd commit if I was a Hearts fan and got Wright for Shankland as part of an exchange deal, regardless of the money involved.

He’d fit right in at hearts - they have a number of wide players who flatter to deceive. Shankland isn’t happening John - like Muscat, that dream is dead

Enjoyed the Butland discussion lads, the problem I have selling him is that we'd be selling an outstanding keeper when we don't have an outstanding Striker. I personally think we'd only be downgrading from Butland but flogging him this summer and then scrabbling for a keeper to replace his quality on top of signing a marquee striker gives me the absolute fear. 2 key positions, don't sell the quality in one when you haven't got it in the other.

Glad Alex made point about Butland if any EPL side want him then it’s going to be a hefty fee they need to pay,hope the club mention in the future to any clubs who might be interested it would need a record Scottish bid to secure his services. Sheff Utd paid 20mil for McBurnie 4 years ago, and some fans seem to think half of that gets you a top class English goalkeeper, get real.

Great show boys however can we stop all the talk of selling our best players when they are only just in the door. It’s those who aren’t contributing we should be selling and potentially we could accept an offer for one of our best players if there is someone behind him who can be as good, that is not the case with Butland. Finally, I’d hope top players want the opportunity of trophies and Europe (let’s say Champions League) over mediocrity and a bit more money?

He should never start unless all other wingers are injured. However, I'd rather see him playing as our number 9 than Dessers who is an absolute dud - despite some podders recently making optimistic noises about him. Shame on them. Just admit Dessers is hopeless. It's not a crime or disloyal to believe this about any Ranger, especially the useless Dessers.
