I think Cortes goal which has been highlighted as good/great goal but I think it's better than that , as it happens Zander Clarke actually hedges his bet that Cortes will go across him to his own left so isn't central and is closer to that left hand post but Cortes precision & power takes that gamble by Clark out of the equation ........ all ro often we've struggled with that 2nd goal just not on Saturday

Bill’s truth

Ah, the Gin Blossoms- great album- great choice.

Best performance I've seen since possibly Leipzig. No failures and hard to pick a stand out. We have momentum now and the other mob scraping by we need to keep our foot on their throats. They will slip up!

Re shouts at football. Main Stand at Kirkcaldy, the Raith right back half’s Mark Walters with an awful challenge. Boy next to me stands up and shouts, haw No2, your nothing but a dirty f****n b*****d. Guy turns round, that’s my son and I can assure you he is not. Few seconds silence, then first guy retorts, Well he is today.

It will be interesting which players start on Wednesday, will he start Lawrence or Silva in the 10? Sterling in midfield with McAusland back on the wing? It’s fantastic he has good players to chose from and players who are flexible in their positions. Exciting times .

That daily tale 🤣🤣

Russ

Heavy 'Enjoy it, but enjoy it by being disciplined!' vibes from the Goldson chat.

Must be a nightmare for Big Phil picking the team every week. Great position to be in though. Compare to September when we all knew who would start.

Pedro

Enjoyed that daily tale 😂

Digsy's Diner With the ball at his feet What a joy it is to see A superstar you will agree He's Diomande He can tackle and score And he'll give us more and more When on the ball you'll hear us roar He's Diomande

Great decision making by Cortes. As you say, GK gambled on what would be the more likely, bigger, target for a forward to aim at. Cortes bluffed him plus hit it very early. Like the manager said about shooting being instinctive, if that's Oscar's natural instincts we have a very clever player as well as a skillful one.

Sure are exciting times. Manager keeps saying it's all about the squad. Fans are going to have to get used to that concept and away from a First XI. Plus the concept of not consistently questioning, moaning, disagreeing with the selections which are made. The 'best' players can't be at their best if they're knackered. The 'rest' won't buy in, be sharp or get better if they don't play. Clement is cleverly managing minutes (for injuries, best physical output and player involvement), skillsets, tactics and upcoming fixtures, even surfaces to get what is going to give the optimum output from every resource at his disposal. eg at St Johnstone, Wright was a better pick than McCausland for many reasons (suitablility on that pitch, overload vs freshness for output, development of Ross vs engagement for Scott - all of which suited both lads but ultimately were better for the team on that day at that time. Just one example, only applied for 45min. And he's doing that all over the park with every player, almost! (bar SJB, Tav, #4, #6) The mantra is one game at a time but he's really managing in a 'rolling' 3 game block; played, playing, play next. As more & more are now uninjured and getting fully fit we are seeing minutes of players of a similar position being balanced so they all have the about the same game time. Optimum use of resources being kept at their optimum performance level.

Thanks for the update David👍 Total brasser on the Daily Tale! Thanks for sharing Alan. It's great to be able to have a laugh at your own expense. You're just one of so many making that mistake but the only one I've heard admit it. Takes a bigger man and that makes others laugh along with you, not just at you. Funny as . . Respect👍

A memorable favourie from my youth. East Enclosure, early 80s, opponent's throw in (a 'shy' back then! 😉). Bear: "Haw! That's the only fkin baw you'll haud ya castrated bastard!" Player "😆😆😆" I miss the days when it was about giving abuse to the opposition😆

Im no telling my tale on thepod. 1st game in new broomloan as a young lad shouted " you're better than Jinky Johnston" to Willie at a corner . He looked horrified a fan said this. Guy next to me said it sounded like junky Johnston. I left.

Gary Brown

Solidarity bro - a problem shared is a problem halved 😉. Its all therapeutic. To be fair. Willie had more than his fair share of 'junkie' comments from opposition fans. I'd guess it was more a WTF? not expecting it from our guys. Aye, even praising can be fraught with peril, like you my roaring of "absolutely fkin brilliant Arse-ur Numan" to the big man at a throw in didn't go exactly to plan😆
