Tell me why I've been looking forward to this all day :) it's because you two really are a shining light on a gloomy day. 'Bulletproof is a mindset' is so absolutely right, and I think the reason armys are found by BTS is because they are needing a little more strength, a little push towards happiness or understanding. BTS finds you when you need them, and you may need them for their strength, their joy or their comfort. What I always say the thing I'm most thankful for that BTS has gifted me is army, army is everything, we lift each other up and make true friends even if we've always been lonely. watching the end of your reaction now and yes, once you're army long enough you recognize them from their backs, their silhouettes, their laughs, even their hands are very distinct but that takes a lot of content before you're in that deep 😂

Omg you guys discovered the Teaser videos for their MVs! These are so iconic because a lot of them give a little more depth to certain parts of their MVs and also the mixing on the songs are sometimes a little different so armys like to joke that we can't ever trust the teasers lol definitely check them out before you watch some of the other MVs some of them are just spectacular

This episode made me cry a lot. Seen kids suffer like this and considering suicide as the only option is so scarry and sad to me. I think thats why I love bts, they gave those teens that where struggling a voice. They never fail making me feel save, and heard. They make me smile eventho my day was absolute crab and they make me cry whenever they cry. I feel a deep emocional connection with them. And I know that whenever I need them they are with me. You made a wise choice...I’ve been an Army since 2019 and started watching everything BTS related...I have seen a lot of different reactors but none are as genuine and real as Jared and Jordan...you can tell they are as affected by BTS as the rest of us and it is heartfelt which makes it very much worth the money...to me anyways..I want real conversations and experiences and not someone wanting clicks...They will be reacting to everything but they they are just getting into it and everyone is telling them to watch this or that and let’s face it in this huge rabbit hole there’s a million different directions to go ..they just have to do it at their pace and take in suggestions ...they started rise of bangtang to try to get in order the way everything has gone down....here we are in 2022....I don’t know if any of us will ever catch up...glad to see so many joining this group...I love the creators and commenters each brings ideas and perspectives that might otherwise not be seen...so glad to meet you 💜💜💜

I’ve also been thinking a lot about and trying to understand the connection between BTS and Army and how this happened because at my age it just doesn’t make sense....but a thought popped in ...It’s like wandering around in life thinking NOONE understands or is going through what I am....and BTS is like counselors inviting you to a support group and when you get the open mind it’s like a door opens and on the other side is Army ...thousands of people saying come in we understand...we are here we will stand together and it all started because BTS needed that strength as well and reached out to Army... Jungkook said he wanted to be a singer that we could be proud and not embarrassed of....I have a lot of people that snicker when profess that I listen and love BTS...I’d rather lose them then this!💜💜💜🙏💜🙏Always here for anyone needing it!

BTS often talk about how seeing their past self on camera, are making them cringe because they were to eager. but for us it reflects how each of us were at that age and to seeing them make their dream come true and grow before our eyes makes us proud of how much they have done. and the fact that army made that happen for them makes us proud of ourselves too and want to help them more. and it also make us realise what we can do for others and for ourselves. it´s truly beautiful. no other fandom are able to feel this i can´t imagine that it exist.

Now you guys are ready for the cyphers! Before you move on, you've got to listen to Cyphers 1 & 2, that Rm, J Hope and Suga dropped. You know how you were saying that RM was so calm and composed? Well they destroyed all these haters in their music....in addition to the Cyphers, RM also spoke to all of them in his solo songs Joke and Monster, and Suga in his solo song Agust D. Have fun listening to them and seeing them kill the haters with their bars!

This was another great episode. It feels like you guys are really starting to get it. You're starting to fully understand and appreciate why BTS have so many dedicated followers and what it really means to be Army. The guys have gone through struggle after struggle and always fought their way through and Army have been right there with them. Even to this day they still face mistreatment and hardships. Army is very protective of the members because of all these hardships. However, this protective feeling works both ways. BTS always have Armys backs and defend us whenever anyone ridicules us. This mutual respect, admiration and protectiveness is what makes being an Army so different. They make sure that their fans are never forgotten or cast aside, they make every effort to connect with us and show their gratitude and support, it feels like a mutual relationship, rather than simply a fan who's "clicked subscribe on Spotify." There's a wonderful quote by Suga saying "Rather than pushing BTS from the back, BTS are holding hands with ARMY and climbing up together." I really feel that this is what the Rise of Bangtan series is showing and I'm loving seeing your reactions and seeing you fall further and further into Army. Can't wait for the next one! Borahae!

RM has been and is literally such an astounding leader, there couldn't be anyone better. For example, RM would get hate letters about the group and he wouldn't let the other members know about this and instead tell them something positive, while enduring all the hate himself and keep it pushing. The mental strength that he had is just ...amazing to say the least. You guys will eventually get to their cyphers (my favorites are 2-4), it is 100% savage and basically just a whole clapback to their haters- no sugar coating what so ever. hehehe

I read somewhere (mind has gone blank) that the rapper with the glasses (his name sounds like febreze) and the music critic have back tracked on the comments that they made to RM & SUGA at that time and both are now saying BTS are great, but the kicker for them is RM, SUGA and the rest of BTS won't have anything to do with them.

Your what if made me think hard. If I was unable to connect with BTS and ARMY I think I would have lost a lot of the passion I have for spreading kindness and love. I would probably still be floating in world thinking the worst of humanity. But with ARMY and BTS we can feel and see there is hope- good people that care do exist in this world. Heyo, it feels like it’s been a while since I commented 🫢. Been looking forward to seeing your reaction to episode 3 so you could get some more insight on the context of what N.O and even No more dream are based on. It’s very easy to look at these things through a western lens but I definitely think it’s important when reacting to cultures that are foreign to you, to consider the different contexts behind them. You’ll see something similar with a song called Baepsae(or silver spoon), that sometimes explanation videos are necessary for some songs to understand them a bit better. Anyways great reaction as always but just a note. When you see Korean words with ‘eo’ in them like chuseok or seokjin (Jin’s full name) or hoseok (jhope’s real name). It’s actually pronounced as ‘uh’ like in duck, ball, call etc. It’s definitely confusing for people who aren’t familiar with Korean names so I’m just letting you know for the future. Also for the next episode you should react to Boy in luv and maybe even get started on the Cyphers. Cypher 1 is on ORUL82 and Cypher 2 is on the next album called Skool luv affair, so you might want to consider getting started on those. I also don’t know if you’re planning to do full album reactions to the ones you’ve covered on the rise of bangtan. There are still so many great songs on both 2 Cool 4 Skool and ORUL82 so it would be cool for you to get to those. Borahae💜💜

Eventhough I agree with your statement and I cant wait for them to see it, but in my opinion I think it's better for them (and us ARMYs) to wait before doing those videos. I think the reaction would be better if they catch up with older songs and other MMA reactions from previous years first. MMA2019 is THE best performance I've ever seen, so IMO its better if they have full context. It's also more fun if they watch the MMA2019 performance first before watching the dance practice so they still have the surprise factor

Why are people close-minded? This question really got me thinking. I believe they exist because of the fear of something that is new and different. Human beings are social animals who always try to be accepted by society, so when they see something that's not common, they immediately reject it. I was also thinking about mental health and how important it is to have someone to talk to about our feelings and deep thoughts with, to normalize being sensitive and not be afraid to ask for help. And thanks to BTS, fans all over the world are taking care of themselves and have higher self-esteem. I remember two years ago, I was feeling horrible. I didn't have the energy to do anything, and my family environment was so toxic, full of fights and bad energy. At that time, I used to think that everything was my fault, and that all the problems would end if I just disappeared. BTS's songs were my only company, and their lyrics made me realize that I needed to do something to improve, that I needed to "give me the best of me." So, I finally told my mom what I was going through. We both cried that day, and thanks to being brave enough to say that I wasn't feeling well. Now I can say that I'm healthy and happy. So please, if you are feeling blue, if you feel like you want to quit, find someone to talk to and ask for help. You are worthy and beautiful inside and out. ARMY BORAHAE! 💜

Yes! I’m with all who are excited about the Cyphers. Before getting to episode 4, to keep from being really spoiled, you should do at minimum Cypher 2 (well, 1&2, to keep them in order to see their growth). The title song for this period, though, is Boy in Luv. It’s covered, but I think Cypher 2 is definitely a must before the episode. When talking about his writing, Yoongi (Suga) says he has never really called anyone out, he just sets traps. When discussing the rap line, ARMY always falls in line and repeats him…until someone brings up Cypher 2. I’ll admit, neither Yoongi nor NamJoon (RM) called names. But there’s no need to when you are as descriptive and talented with your words as they are. One thing you will learn about the guys is that while they are extremely respectful, there will be a response. Just wait for the next album, mix-tape, single. They use their music to express their voice. Anyway, I’m excited about how you have chosen to approach your BTS journey. Isn’t it amazing how one second Jin and JK look like twins, then it feels like a few moments later you are asking yourself how did you EVER confuse them before? Yes, you will soon be able to tell them apart by voice (whether singing/rapping/talking). I look forward to sharing that moment with you! Borahae 💜

It’s another wonderful experience watching you both and BTS. I can’t help expecting the song “House of Cards” a vocal line favourite when I see the title and expect “DNA” to play when I hear the intro to each chapter. Everyone talks about the “Bulletproof “ part of BTS but not the “ Boy Scouts” part of their name. I can’t even to begin to imagine living every day having to be PERFECT! You have to look perfect, be humble, be grateful, work hard, practice hard, live away from family and friends, not openly date or party etc. They started as teenagers and are now grown men but the core of who they are has never changed. I love that they are so open about their feelings, they cry often and I watch content and cry with them. My heart breaks every time I hear them say we will work harder, do more, give more to ARMYS when they have already given us everything they have and then some. I wish I had discovered them before last summer but as they say, you find BTS when you need them most and that’s certainly true of me. When I see them working so hard, I know I can get through another day of very intense and painful physio therapy (after shattering my wrist and elbow 6 1/2 months ago) and then I see MoonWolfies’ letter from Ukraine 🇺🇦 and I think, hey I’ve got nothing to complain about. You guys are the best, Thank you both and a very (few hours early) HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🥳 x 2 🤗💜💜🇨🇦

Yes I have heard it said that RM would mistranslate some of the hate to the guys in a positive way so they wouldn't be aware of just how much hate there was. My response to why are people close-minded? Is just because of ignorance. Not knowing that other realities and experiences exist is what make you think it all has to be your way. Here as always comment on couple things on the video.😊 The 100th day celebration also comes from culture the Korean society. For Koreans child passing 100 days is a sign that you would live your first birthday and if you live past the 1 year you would survive the infancy. With same logic kpop groups celebrate them as well. If you past the first milestone it is more likely you past the next one as well. There is various things that could happen before the first 100th days. Most of the time the group just dispand before the time and there is so many reason way. No funds or the group doesn't get along. Sometimes somebody leaves at the group early days but that doesn't necessarily lead to dispandment. Bts really wanted to break through at the early days the fact is that the real first hit song was I Need You in 2015. It got them 2 years to get first tv show win. I loved the reaction, you really are two wonderful, intellectual people. It's also very funny that you don't even realise that some point you can tell the members apart. Yazzz my weekend is now complete that the two of you have uploaded TRoB! Thanks for this my favorite brothers 💜 Just like you, I want to pause while watching and comment what's on my mind before I completely forget them! But It's hard when I am so into listening to what you had to say, as your commentaries are always informative, mind opening and JINspiring 🥰💜 So I'll just briefly break down what I wanted to say: 1. Yeah, comeback is a term when they come back with a new album. It's one of those Kpop terms widely used and you'll learn more as you go. 2. N.O is just one of those songs that BTS was not afraid to release where they tackle social issues that Koreans were afraid to speak about. That's why a lot of people their age relate to them and fought side by side with them to change the stereotypes of the society. Also with the NO performance, up to this day, they really monitor clips of their rehearsals so they can do better in their live performance. They really are such perfectionists. 3. That clip of the interview with B-Free and his crew always make me angry too, just like how you felt Jared. Bang Sihyuk even went to them to confront them of how they treated RM and Suga, but they're just 🐔💩 coz they didn't face Bang PD that time. Then they're talking about Hiphop as having a "macho culture". Please! Glad that RM responded to them in a very professional and dignified way 💜 Btw, those 'music critics' B-Free went to jail and basically living a messed up life. Karma is an ARMY 😉

4. Most of the clips in the chapter were from their Bangtan bombs, and Rookie King - a variety show where they do mostly penalties. And one of those was that part where Jhope and V 'kissed'. That's why there's been a running gag that Jhope is V's 1st kiss 🤭 Rookie King also has that famous elevator prank episode. You can react to it some time if you wish 😊 5. Jin saying that when he reads letters from Army that they feel sorry, he feels sorry too - this breaks my heart over and over again. It's always been like this with all of them. They know how Army would feel, we beat the same feelings and emotions 🥺 One example was during Grammy's - when they didn't win, they immediately went on Vlive to check on Army and tell us that we shouldn't be sad. They were always thinking of us, when they themselves were sad and hurting too 😭 6. Them always being vulnerable with Army, no other artist is like this. Just an open book to their fans. This is one of the reasons why they're different from ANY other groups. 7. Lastly, Chapter 4! Yazzz!! If you'll touch on the CYPHER songs, please do it all at once since you're already here. (Parts 1 to 4) Part 3 is my fave, btw. These are series of songs that they wrote as answers to those 'music critics' and haters over the years.

You know what, I’ve been in an extremely weird and unhealthy head space lately. And I’ve been able to talk myself through it and feel better with the reaction videos I watch. I think this episode was meant for me to see at this moment in my life rn. I haven’t watched the series and I’ve also been waiting to watch each episode with you guys as I know some others have as well. This episode was touchy and definitely what I needed. Right now I’m pressuring myself so much to be successful. I just graduated college and yes it’s a big accomplishment but somehow I still feel like I haven’t accomplished anything at all. The comments at the beginning from Jess and MoonWolfie as well as you guy’s words on them really made me think about what I HAVE accomplished. As Jess said (and Jess if you read this, thank you) it’s okay to pat yourself on the back for the little things. And Jared, I think I’m always going to have what you said with me from now on. “Bulletproof is a mindset.” I’ve just recently embraced the fact that I don’t love myself as much as I thought and now I’m finally ready to do the work to get there. I think my mindset is what I need to change. I need to be bulletproof and block out all the negativity from the outside and even from the inside that I throw at myself. Anyways, I don’t really know where I’m going with this comment but I thought I needed to let you both know that this reaction, specifically, is a part of my journey to grow from where I am right now and I’ll always remember it. I’m sure someone else has probably already commented this, but disbandment would just be if a group isn’t successful with their debut album and sales don’t go well and there’s not much of a fan base, the company will disband the group because they’re not financially viable. It’s not like in the western music industry where I think a group could probably then go to another record label. The company really owns the group and has hand picked every member from thousands of trainees. So I guess reaching 100 days would suggest their first album was successful and they’ve already released their second, with further success. Hope that helps ☺️☺️ love you guys 💜

Firt of all: Your Outro Music is a BOP! Always boosts my mood to hear it. Then, as a person from Germany, who sees the people from Ukraine escaping and telling their stories: I'm constantly thinking of you and just can't imagine how hard life must be for you right now. Please stay safe! There are actually so many thoughts I have about Episode 3 but I think the most important one is adressing mental health. As someone who also suffers from depression and anxiety I always like to replace the Army phrase "BTS save lives" to "They are holding our hands and supporting us while we save ourselfes." Once again Jared and Jordan, outstanding, everything you said was spot on, I couldn’t believe it when you said every Army will be crying with them because that’s all I did when I watched this with you guys. We feel and go through every motion with them, good and the bad we feel it too. You guys always bring a smile to my face even when I’m not feeling good like now, so thank you once again. I can’t even bare to think about the what ifs it actually breaks my heart talking about it, so I’ll keep it short and say I would not be who I am today without BTS, they taught me love, kindness and so much more, most importantly they taught me how to be less hard on myself and to LOVE myself which I am still working on. What if I didn’t have that, who would I be and how would I move on through life I can’t think about it without getting emotional, as you said Jared thankfully we don’t have to think about it. Thank you for this reaction. I have been rewatching your reactions since I find your voices very soothing and I enjoy how you guys process all the information, not just by what you hear but by explaining your thought processes. I personally have a hard time speaking and vocalizing since I had a mental breakdown a little over a year ago. BTS helped me learn how to speak again and I sometimes use reactions as a way to help me feel like I am not alone in my process of healing. So I was happy when I found you two. Also when JK read that letter about his goal, that was 15 yo JK. That has never changed as a mature JK now has remained the same humble young boy we knew from 10yrs ago bearing the same mindset of giving his best to never disappoint us. Each member has a unique bond with each other - true brotherhood. When they interact with each other two by two they bring out different sides of each other. There is no pair that I don't enjoy seeing together. But to me personally I just can't get enough of "Vhope" (The friendship pairing between V and J-Hope). There is just something about their Friendship that always makes me extra happy. It's always seemed like V looked up to J-Hope. Always seems in awe by him. And he even confessed a few years ago that he had been trying hard to get praise from J-Hope. Their energy matches so well. Their bond is so special to me. Some of my favourite vlogs and VLives is them together. As someone who discovered BTS late, the Rise of Bangtan series has really been helpful to me to see the growth and to know who they were and who they've become. I'm so thankful that I came across BTS by accident on YouTube (was watching performences from SNL and then I just clicked on their performance of Mic Drop and I was so impressed and confused - I had never seen anything like this before. So I had to check them out..).

In this day and age of music that glorifies violence and s*x these boys are writing and singing about how much they love ARMY, how to love ourselves, how to not let society pressure us into their “mold”. Oh how I wish I had these boys’ music when my younger self had her spirit broken, was painfully shy, was never good enough. I listen to them in awe, sometimes with tears because they make me feel something I had buried long ago but never dealt with. That it is okay to be me, the imperfect me. And when I see an ARMY post about being sad, or needing encouragement, I don’t feel awkward sending love to someone I have never met because we are all connected now. I love these young men, and I love ARMY. 💜🫶

The Chapter titles are all titles of their songs, but the songs themself are rarely included in the chapter, it's just a title. For example Chapter 2's title "Begin" is Jungkook's song from 2016, but it was a fitting title since it was the beginning of BTS's career since they debut in that chapter. "House of Cards" is a song from 2015.

What is an IDOL mean? What is an ARTIST mean? ... BTS has helped evolve the meaning of an IDOL and ARTIST through their music on how, why, what and where the narrative of their music flows to. BTS are now IDOL ARTISTS with wide genre of music that helped Hip Hop music breakthrough RAP and now made a new genre of RAP. No one can dispute the fact that IDOL ARTIST exists prior to BTS, like Pattie Labelle & the Blue Belles, The Temptations, The Four Tops, New Kids On the Block, New Edition, Boys to Men, 98 degrees to name a few, but it's only when BTS popularity has solidify the clear definition of the name IDOL ARTISTS for which BTS paid homage to the IDOL ARTIST that came before them. When New Kids on the block (NKOTB) and New Edition performed on the 2021 AMA, BTS gave them a standing ovation and dancing to their performance then back stage BTS led by RM spoke with NKOTB Donnie Wahleberg and bowed thanking them for paving the way for IDOL ARTISTS to be acknowledge (YOUTUBE). So in conclusion IDOL ARTIST is now a current "thing" on the entertainment world. I would like to thank you Jared and Jordan for inspiring me to get back on my writing and I am thinking of exploring Hip Hop dancing (Whoa a 52 year old hip hop dancer!) with my 15 year old son... wow i didn´t knew that about idol artist. i thought BTS was the first. but i only know of one current band that do some writing and that´s straykids. i dont listen to kpop only BTS it´s to noisy for my taste. but it´s clear to me that BTS really love western artist and was allowed to make their music sound like that. compared to the other groups, who may like idol music more since that´s what they wanted to do. BTS is more western inspired i feel like. so i think that´s why i find their music more appealing.

I can’t wait for the future reactions, rise of bangtan gets better as it goes on, in my opinion especially starting from the I need you era. You will gradually see their rise in fame as well as their growth. I would also like to mention that their titles tracks are good, but the real gems are in their b-sides. You can look at it this way, they have to think about how to lure crowds in with their title track, so the focus would be put on addictive Melodies and things like that. But the b-sides are where the lyricism, rawness and poetry really is
