“MAGIC…in human form!”

Today's video is an EXTENSION/DEEPER DIVE of a reaction video that we posted on our YouTube channel, where we watched Jin’s “The Astronaut” MV for the first time! If you haven’t already seen that video, go check it out now (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpRaaduLjU0&t=169s) and then come back. We'll be waiting for you…

Here are a few takeaways from today’s experience:

1. Jin’s “The Astronaut” MV is a BEAUTIFUL and INTRICATE piece of ART that is contains EASTER EGGS for days!. We missed just about every one of them during our first watch through.

2. The braille, the crossword puzzle, the Coldplay references, the helmet, the Earth & the Moon, the hidden items representing each member of BTS, the child’s artwork, THE ASTRONAUT, the storyline, the symbolism, the authenticity, the love…AHHHHHHHHHH 🤯🤯🤯🤯

3. Jin’s smile at the end of his MV, as soon as he finished writing ‘family’ in the crossword puzzle, was majestic. The slight tremor in his neck as he heard the sound of the young girl’s bike bell nearly made our hearts melt. It was a moment of pure joy, elation, comfort, love, and excitement for life and ARMY that runs through Jin’s veins.

4. And finally…the LIVE PERFORMANCE!! This brought us to tear and caused chills to reverberate up and down our bodies. Chris Martin’s heartfelt speech at the beginning of the performance…CHILLS. Jin’s running on stage toward ARMY (reminiscent of his running in the MV and also of Chris Martin’s running in the ‘My Universe’ live performance)...CHILLS. Jin and Chris Martin sharing a mic together at the end of the performance…TEARS and CHILLS.

The MUSIC, the MESSAGE, the LOVE…thank you, Jin 🙏🏽

Oh this just made me cry all over again. The way you reacted to this is so lovely and you are totally right, it is magical. I went and saw the Coldplay concert at the movie theater and saw this performance there. I was crying in the theater and so were the people next to me. I have always liked Coldplay, but their relationship with BTS, and their respect they've shown the guys and then Chris' obvious special relationship with Jin just makes me love and appreciate them more. Chris' introduction for Jin still gives me chills. His message was just so great and I wish more people would take his advice, because exactly like you said, how can you learn these things about BTS or witness this love that is portrayed by Jin to ARMY and not be moved? So many are missing out on so much love because they don't want to give something different a chance. I'm so glad that Chris did. The symbolism in the Astronaut MV is almost too much perfection. The attention to details that had to be made is just more proof of Jin & honestly BTS & their teams love for ARMY and the best thing about it is is that it is genuine and not contrived. So often you hear celebrities say they love their fans and somehow sometimes it feels disingenuous or like its pandering and thats sad, but you just never feel that with BTS at all. Its the best thing ever to be ARMY. I can't believe we are almost halfway through Jins service. I know there will be moments ahead when more members are enlisted that will be harder, but I'm so glad that we now have less time and Jin will be home. Great reaction J&J. Borahae

I'm watching this in 2025 and Jin has been back for quite sometime now but this live performance still brought tears to my eyes. It made me feel so overwhelmed but in a good way. This live performance was love personified. There was so much love, pure love, here that it will tug at people's hearts always. There was love in Jin's eyes and voice when he was singing, there was love in Chris's eyes whole watching Jin perform and there was the love of ARMY for not only Jin but Chris too. Especially for Jin because everyone knew that this was a goodbye performance so every single ARMY there that day poured their heart out by singing along with Jin to make sure he knew that we will wait for him. 💜

It's funny because I heard the song before the music video and i hadn't looked up the lyrics yet, but the message was still conveyed exactly the way it was meant to just through the music alone without true context of the song. This is still one of my favorite songs and it absolutely feels like a huge hug. The song being able to literally produce comfort and happiness is so awe-inducing. The love that I think it specifically hits you with is unconditional love which is always connected to BTS' message of being authentic and love yourself. thank you for diving deeply into this song, it means so much to everyone!

Shyrell

Jin often says that he does not have that much friends in the industry. Perhaps because being the eldest, he is on a different wavelength. But his bond with Chris is different because he found a “hyung” in Chris. This time Jin is not the big brother.

The cute one

Thank you so much for this reaction guys I really appreciate each and every one of them 😭💜

Liz Torres

I'm going to be crying again with you guys 😭😭.

ByLa ByLa

Hi guys just left youtube for being here with you, hope you have a nice day. Let's check the video 🤗

fox

I love and appreciate Jin so much. What did we do to deserve to know such a special person? He loves army so much 💜

Koko⁷

"but jin decided to stay on earth with armys" the way you made me cry with this comment...

Kirssy Mago

"for youth" and "with you" and now adding this song to the list. These are my go to songs when I'm feeling gloomy. I listen to this song daily now at least 2-3 times a day.

Kallie

this song hits hard

Katherine Cordero

I have cried so many times since it was released, it's weird to think the seven of them won't be together for so long. You guys should definitely check out his live, hearing him talk about enlistment and the many conflicts they faced was devastating to hear. I can't believe we have to say goodbye seven times, I hope some of them go together at least. :')

Sabrina K

I've never seen or heard Chris Martin before like that but he just looks so wholesome and genuine towards Jin and BTS in general. I love it, respect.

Pommosaurus

I haven't watched the explanation video until now and Jared, I also have tears at the same part. Also, when the video showed "The earth will be coming back once more to the moon" on the newspaper, knowing Jin's other solo song Moon where he conceptualizes Army as the moon and he the Earth, I can't help but feel emotional. This song brings so many emotions to the surface for me. It feels like a temporary goodbye from a good friend, which in a way, it is, but yet it's hopeful and comforting. Thanks so much for deep diving into this song and let me experience all the emotions once more through your video!

Daphne Schaffer

Bros, you write notes just like Namjoon taught the members of BTS to do at interviews ... I love it! this is how most of BTS' mv are... you have to look for it and is why I fell in love with them... I have an INFJ personality so I like layer upon layer of connections.

Pommosaurus

Let's also applaud Chris Martin of Coldplay for this collaboration and just being the absolute gem of a human being, so raw, so vulnerable, and embrace Jin & BTS with open arms. What an amazing friendship!

MJ

I love y’all’s YouTube channel and couldn’t get enough of your reactions, so of course I had to join the Patreon. I CAN HONESTLY SAY I DONT REGRET IT ONE BIT! I’ve loved seeing y’all fall for BTS just like I did, it truly warms my heart and makes me smile. I’m so happy to see y’all reacted to Jin’s performance because I know most ARMY reacted the same way I did, crying my eyes out, but it meant a lot to see baby ARMY have the same feeling. This performance to me was a overflow of pure raw emotion that I believe we all felt as Jin ran, laughed, and spun in circles on that stage. This is around my 7th time watching the performance 🫣 and I still can’t watch it without crying. Love you guys and love your reactions, keep up the hard work! Y’all put out a lot of content and I know it’s not easy but just know that all of your hard work NEVER goes unnoticed… also I watched y’all in the living room a couple days ago and my mom (She’s also ARMY 😂) came in and saw a snippet of the reaction to the Busan Concert and laughed, next thing I see is her coming back to the living room with snacks and her blanket, safe to say she loves y’all too 🫰🏽

Bri

I cried watching this OMG!!!

ririッ

It's 6am here in PH, and I think it's too early for me to cry... AGAIN 😭😭😭 oh Jin! 😢

leat
>>94763818

yeah that was the thing i thought after i was done crying.. next will be Sugas goodbye and i think he might have a collab with pharell and some of the other members so it might be Sugas goodbye. but i dont think they all will do an emotional goodbye like jin.

Ann Dominique

I’ve watched this live performance like 5 times already and cried 5 times as well. It’s just pure love, bittersweet but hopeful.

leat
>>94764332

yes but you could feel on the ellen show that he was afraid to show people how much he really care because he knows how people will judge him. that´s why he did that long speak trying to make his fans more open to the idea. but i hope they where i haven´t heard anything bad about it so that´s good

Marsha

I can hardly watch this cause I cry more for every time i see it. Thanks for this video 💜

mheng93

what's more special about this song is that Chris suggested that Jin sing more in Korean rather than English. i admire their genuine friendship and bond and respect with each other as artists so much. 💜

Veronica⁷

OMG. I cried too. I thought I was ok because I've watched the live performance a few times but nope...Jin, Chris Martin and you guys...it all brought me to tears again. You can see the emotion on Jin's face. So much love between Chris Martin and Jin. You can literally see it. 💜💜

Cherry Valens

I’ve watched this live performance so many times and cry every time! I seen a small clip of after the concert and so many armies were crying, hugging each other, it was a beautiful moment and made me bawl! I don’t like when people say this was his final goodbye, it’s never goodbye and always see you soon! Thank you for an amazing reaction video today, love all of you guys and girls! 💜💜💜

Beckyboo⁷

I watched this with tears in my eyes 😢 Jin is so special and deserves all the love in the world. I'm grateful that Coldplay gave him this moment 💜 I think every ARMY needs to watch Jin's wv live because he explains at length how long it took for them to decide when to go to the military. Our guys endured a lot of backlash for us.

leat

i dont think you have to watch his vlive also. because there will always be new things to react to witch will distract you from your journey. when RM´s new album comes out you need to get to that, but not everything in between. the vlive was more or less about the making of the song and mv. he also talked about the military when he was supposed to go but you don´t know the timeline he is talking about so you might get confused. i think you should react to rise of bangtan ep 5 next it´s been to long and after that maybe ON or the cyphers

Kiki

I will forever be grateful for what Chris and Coldplay did there. That they gave Jin the opportunity to say goodbye to us. 🙏 You can feel the love. From Jin, from Chris, from Armys. I could feel it through the screen from you guys. Just so much love💜 To the interpretations from the MV: I saw a post on Twitter where an Army noticed that Jin needs to leave for 2 years until he will able to come back to us. When he went back in the MV, there were 2 vehicles who passed him until one stopped and brought him back…the neck thing you noticed after Jins smile at the very end could also be relief. Relief that Army is still there waiting for him, even after 2 vehicles (years) passed. We don‘t know if that was the intention, but the thought of it is beautiful. That‘s why I wanted to share it. THANK YOU AS ALWAYS SO MUCH FOR YOUR REACTION. This community here is so wholesome!

LibLady26

Thanks for this. I was "done" when Jin ran to Chris! Theirs is a special relationship that will last forever. It is amazing to think that Jin never expected to be doing any singing or dancing; he wanted to be an actor! He was recruited just on his looks! I am so glad he decided to stay. He is a special gift to ARMY! Love you guys.

Glaseon_711

I'm crying! I watched this performance more than 10 times and the clip more than 100. But it doesn't get any easier for me to listen to this song... I keep crying and don't know how to comfort myself after watching. Big hugs to all ARMYs. Jared and Jordan, a very big hug to you too! 💜💜💜💜

Katherine

Im crying these days a lot. I feel so loved, but I will also miss him so much. And this is only the first goodbye, we still have 6 other members. This will be so hard, they mean so much. Thank you for your deep dive, this song indeed deserves a lot.

Cheryl ⁷ Lambert

I wish the world could stand still for a few minutes and watch what happened in a country in South America between a British band and a South Korean singer. We could all learn so much from this beautiful moment of pure joy, love, compassion and acceptance. Jin gave us such a wonderful gift at a time of personal anxiety and uncertainty in his own life. He is so wise, humble and selfless that his thoughts are for his members and for ARMY and how we will cope while he’s gone. I pray for his safety and that this doesn’t change the sweet nature of this beautiful man whatever he may face in these next two years. The world is in such a terrible place right now, so I’m holding onto this close to my heart. I love you Jin. I love both of you for bringing us along on your journey. This is our safe place. 😭😭😭😭💜💜🙏🇨🇦

shelby🖤

can confirm the live performance made me have a full breakdown. i was watching the live stream of it and took a video of jin and i literally can't post it anywhere because you can hear how hard I'm crying in the background. i was getting a lot of dms from friends on twitter asking if i was okay. i was not lmao.

Anaïs

I haven't been able to watch the performance without tears. It's because of the whole context, not only he has to leave but he crossed the world just to perform in front and for ARMYs, to give us this gift, and you can tell he enjoyed it as much as we did. His eyes were glowing with happiness and I couldn't be prouder of him. So yeah, I can't help myself and watch this without tears, because it's simply humanly beautiful. As for the MV, to be honest, these 'Easter Eggs' were found out not even 15 min after the MV dropped, it was everywhere on my TL Twitter so, ARMY is really fast when it comes to these things. Also, RM just did an interview with Pharrell on Rolling Stone, the interview is available here https://youtu.be/1H1Mh5KT8LQ, they also revealed that BTS is having a collaboration with him. To add details, a while back in early October, rumors on Twitter from sources said that there was a collaboration between the two and we took it with a grain of salt, but it's happening. And if this source is further to be believed, it's RM and Jungkook on Pharrell's track (for his new album) and it's "Timberlake at his best" according to this secret source. Don't know if it's accurate, but it was so far. So, BTS is collaborating for a song on Pharrell's album who should be announce maybe soon. RM's agency, Big Hit, also confirmed that RM will be releasing his album soon (apparently according to Korean medias its for the 25th), thus be prepared for his time soon (few days). On the interview, they are teasing that maybe Pharrell might have join RM on a song for his album, so, two collaboration with Pharrell overall. I advise you to check out the interview, it's very informative (25 min). Thanks guys once again, great reaction. 💜

Dawn Fried

My heart was broken open by this performance. The love that was exuding from the lyrics and Jin’s performance and Chris’s warmth towards Jin, just reached down into my heart and I cried and cried. Feeling sad, concern, feeling the anticipated missing of Jin and BTS, and feeling the love, all the love.❤️

LaLaJin

Thanks so much for reacting to this, I really appreciate it and both of you!! I would love a reaction to Jin's V-live, he goes into more detail about the enlistment. You're right, this was a masterpiece, I saw the concert at the movie theater on Friday and I'm still crying..love you guys!! I hope you guys do a special reaction for Jin's birthday (12/4)..some of his songs (Epiphany, Abyss, Awake, Moon, Super Tuna, Your's the OST from the Kdrama Jurisan).

PiedPiper613

Borahae Jared and Jordan. FYI: I have seen so many human's, no matter their identity cry while watching and/or listening to BTS. After all these years, I can listen to to a song one day and be fine. The next time I listen to it I cry. It's an Army thing. Tears and feels are so random sometimes. I predict it will happen to you guys as well. It is OK. It's good cleansing tears for whatever the reason. Go with the flow.

Daphne Schaffer

we tear up because JIN went the distance to tell us he loves us... when we react emotionally it becomes tangible... we can hold on to it... and WE LOVE YOU TOO JIN! I cried again. In life when do you ever have a celebrity value you... like he's talking to just me.

Alishea

I cried throughout Jin's performance you could feel all the love he had for army and coldplay and it was so sweet when Chris gave him a kiss on the side of his head. I love their friendship, Chris really adores Jinnie and I know they're going to miss each other dearly. I think a video that might help you understand BTS and Coldplay's relationship better is watching the My Universe Documentary on bangtantv. Chris flew all the way to Korea just to record the song together and the guys were so touched. The video is really wholesome 💜

Singa7⁷

I think the tears are not a surprise, such a beautiful song sung by Jin, and the meaning behind it is so moving (thank you Chris Martin & Coldplay too!). He has such a beautiful heart and expresses his love unashamedly. With this song he has really captured my heart, the more I listen to it, and in the past few months I've really gotten to appreciate him more as a person, and his voice and personality really gets a hold of your heartstrings, so tears are a given. With some BTS songs, tears should be expected. They hit you in the heart (as some say, feels) and I for one am grateful I found them. I can't imagine my life without them now. They give sooo much, and as RM has said in the Rolling Stones interview with Pharell, it's the GIVING and not the receiving that is meaningful. They teach us so much, and I hope that we can continue to receive such beautiful gifts from them, in their music and through them personally. I think I fell in love with them as people first, then everything else followed. Life is so difficult now, and people can be so selfish and thoughtless. However these amazing young men have shown us that LOVE is what is important and is what makes the world go round. So yes, we'll miss them, but we won't be without them. And through them, each other. Just getting to know them has created communities of Army's around the world all interacting with each other, in ways that would never have been possible with anyone else. And that is the beauty of BTS that most can't seem to grasp until you become Army. I mean, here we are, from all around the world and enjoying and crying together. You cannot replicate such a thing and I've seen this with other reactors and their communities too. No one else will EVER manage to do this the same way, and watching you fall in love with them too and now joining us in crying with them too, and each other, that is FAMILY. Thank you Jared and Jordan too, I love to watch your breakdowns, and I learn a lot from you both about so many things. You do such a thorough job which is greatly appreciated, and in such a deep and meaningful way. It's a pleasure to follow along and as you continue to grow in this journey just know that you'll never be the same again. You'll find yourself loving and experiencing things you never thought you would, and discovering that your life is richer for it. ALL BECAUSE OF BTS. As a person of faith I never fail to keep these absolutely lovely young men in my prayers every day, for if anything was ever to happen to them I really don't know how I would cope. I'm 54 and consider them my adopted 'children' but most importantly 'my heart family'. So I thank God everyday for them. What the future holds in this uncertain world I don't know, but I'll do my best with what I have and get down on my knees for the great gift I'm convinced was given to us by God. Their effect on millions of individuals worldwide, for the better, with love at it's heart, confirms this for me. Others will find meaning in their own ways, and that is the beauty of it all. Let's continue this amazing journey together, and here's to many more enjoyable encounters, and yes, don't be afraid to cry! Let's be as genuine as BTS, to ourselves and each other, and love, love, love!

Tuba Demir

Please you have to react to jins vlive. Pleeeeeaaaaaassssseee

Blessing.E

I'm over here bawling and there's tears all over my laptop it just so emotional

Selina T

Hi! As many have already mentioned, RM and Pharrell did a Rolling Stones interview together that came out today! I know Jordan is big RM fan. But if you’re into Pharrell or the neptunes, take a listen to BTS track: “Look Here”. It’s pretty fun, to go along with your many other agendas lol. Hopefully you get to dive into the bangtan universe soon so you can catch on to all the Easter eggs, and inside symbolisms

Cassidy Barger

I still have a hard time listening to the song without shedding a few tears, but I'm truly grateful for Jin and this amazing gift for armys. While the tears are both happy and sad, scared and hopeful, with this song, I know the next two years will be okay. Jin and Coldplay created the most beautiful "goodbye for now" message, and I'll be forever grateful for it<3

Hyland

It was filmed in CA. It looks like when he was on the bike and at the ship it was filmed where I'm from in CA in a very rural area. Very dry but pretty.

Yeontae

I will miss Jin sooo much. Cannot stop crying. 😭😭😭

Kecia ⁷

I will be eternally grateful to Coldplay and Chris Martin for this moment. When Chris kisses the top of Jin's head I lose to every time. The relationship between them is so beautiful. I'm glad Jin has these guys in his life now. i went to the cinema and watched the live stream of the concert. As I left I thought about how the British rock band Coldplay invited a black female guitarist (H.E.R.), sang a song in Farsi with Golshifteh Farahani, gifted a song and a special moment to a Korean singer, all while performing in South America. This is the pure love. This is the world I want to live in. It's OK that you missed the symbolism and Easter eggs.

Tracey Keyes

It certainly was a magical performance. Can’t watch it without getting at least one tear. I think Chris was beautiful with Jin, and I hope he did bring Jin support and love, because knowing how shy and introverted Jin is, I’m sure the whole military thing would be very stressful for him, and to be doing it without his members, ( his strength and family) , I feel so much for him . As mother of 2 sons, I can’t imagine how his mother must be feeling also to see your son go off to the military ( and it doesn’t matter how old they are, they are still your babies) so My thoughts go out to all of them . Jin is a beautiful human , and I’m glad he found another beautiful human in Chris and Coldplay . Geez, I can’t imagine how hard it’s gonna be for him to say goodbye to the other members and how hard it’s going to be for me and other Army to see them all go off one by one.. sad days ahead😢😢😢 Bring on 2025!! 💜💜💜

Melie

I am so glad that you both were able to learn more about some of the symbolism of everything in the video. I'm sure Army will discover more as we review the mv over and over! I am watching this now as we speak (I had written a comment on YT of the mv reaction), but Bangtan has a whole universe theory and there are deep levels in the mv. (If you ever decide to look into it, be ready for an even deeper rabbit hole ! I am excited for you all to watch save me and fake love to see that connection :)

Angie7

From 2020 on it has been one cry after another and this year has been especially hard with all the twists and turns regarding enlistment and Festa…I have gotten a lot of ridicule because of my age and my “obsession” as it is often called of BTS. It’s not obsessing I just love being around happy loving people and it feels real….after discovering them and falling into the rabbit hole and not fully understanding why they were affecting me the way they did ,I found reactors who had the same reactions I did. Ok so maybe there’s nothing wrong with me maybe this is a real thing. We have all dived into this phenomenon witnessing this group go from a group of boys who have battled their way through the impossible and at one point or another we all saw magical things happening in their journey to the top and almost ten years later it’s STILL happening ….anyone who has an “open heart and open mind”will in some way be affected by these boys…and I’d like to ask Jared and Jordan how does it feel knowing that years later we are going to be reliving this moment and thinking yes! I was in this hole when that happened! ?There is just something happening! when Chris Martin laid it out there literally what it feels like to open your heart to these guys…I have cried more since June than in my entire life…I love these boys and I want them protected and respected…they feel like family 💜

Sunny Young

The fans singing the chorus esp the first line and the I love you. OMg crying, LOL

Stacey Bain

Just wondering if you have seen The My Universe documentary and mv yet

Melie

I have to comment again now as I've been commenting in real time. I think I actually allowed myself to express my feelings for the first time while streaming this mv. I am always streaming YT and Spotify on a schedule and want so badly for their music to get the recognition it deserves and to keep BTS protected and untouchable in the industry that I had not let myself stop and actually express myself. This is the first time that I have actually cried since last Friday. I am proud, hopeful, sad, and probably more emotions that I do not know yet. What I do know is that Army trusts BTS so I will continue to do so. Just like when I watched their acceptance speech at the MAMA in 2018 (Jared + Jordan, you will need to react to this because that to me is the ultimate Army cry moment. I don't care when you became Army. You understand when you watch it - but that's another story)...just like when I watched that speech, the bond between Army and BTS showed it's Proof - it cannot be broken due to outside circumstances or come what may. We have a destiny and a love that is unconditional. Nothing will break this. BTS has always kept their promise. Form pre-debut when there will only 1000-3000 of us joining their lives, to now well over 10 M - 13 M people joining, they are here for us no matter what. Lets keep that as the foundation and continue to move forward because the best is literally Yet To Come and it's heaven when BTS x Army are together!

jordyn perry

I think your videos are very thorough. Nobody can catch everything, everytime. I am also so grateful for Chris Martin & Coldplay for giving Jin this opportunity 🥺💜.

Daniela

That was truly magical, I have so much respect towards Coldplay and how much of genuinely nice people they are. I love this final farewell that we were given from Jin and Chris 💜

Inamar de Souza

I am not sad about enlistment because they need more experiencies in live and inspiraton for their music, and they can meet other people besides BIGHIT, get in touch with other artists and gyus. They have only lived for ARMY for so long. Let them breath. And come back. But when I watched this show at the movie theater I had chills all over my body. Now I rewatch and cry buckets. I don not know why. I don't need to know why, and you are right, they prepared this for ARMY to let go whatever we need to let go.

Chris Augustine

I also want to add a couple of things I noticed in the video. when Jin teaches the girl to ride the bike she is wearing a purple helmet indicating she is army. Also notice she is about 9 or 10 yrs old. Army was created in June of 2013 which puts Army around that age for Jin. The other thing I read somewhere is when he is hitch hiking at the end 2 cars passed before the truck picks him up which could represent the 2 yrs he will be gone to the military. so just a couple more to add to the theories. I would like to request a reaction to Moon as well. It is the sweetest love song to Army and I just love it and it ties right into the Astronaut. There is a Bookish Theories video on the meaning of Moon which explains how the song is tied to the story of the Little Prince. I think it gives even more context to the Astronaut. Thank you for your sincere thoughts on BTS. I believe that God placed these 7 boys on this Earth to teach the world to love.

Winny Red

Im crying watching the live performances with you guys! 😭😭

I loved this so much!! What got me the most about the live performance is that this is a Coldplay concert. They were so incredibly generous to let Jin take the stage and say his goodbyes to us in this way, it is also amazingly brave of Jin to go up on stage at another artist’s show. The army presence was so strong throughout the whole show and at the end when Jin and Chris were singing into the mic together and the crowd started chanting “Kim Seokjin” that shit got me 🥲🥲Watching this on the big screen also didn’t help in controlling my emotions, throughout the pure wholesomeness of it all. This stage perfectly shows just how strong the bond is between Coldplay and Bts AND between bts and army, the fact that at a Coldplay concert in Argentina, we have armies chanting Jin’s name so loudly is mind blowing. On top of all of that, the audience, Coldplay and Jin all speak different languages. That’s the very definition of music transcending languages and countries and races as Namjoon has mentioned in the past. We don’t need to speak the same language to experience human emotion through music. 💜💜

Beautifully put. Thank you kindly for describing exactly my emotions and reactions, It is my third fandom in my 51 yrs but I have never felt this way before. I am OT7 and have a strong maternal desire to protect them from harm and cheer on them forever. The ARMYs have been the best , more admirable versatile strong force that I am honored to be a part of . 🙏🏻💜 I saw this performance live in the theater and I I was balling ..and I know we all felt it ....that honest pure moment of love and the way Coldplay and especially Chris welcomed our WWH Jin is remarkable and so touching . I think with all the ugliness that is unfortunately out there in the world-to witness these true connections and magical moments between dear humans is what we need. We need more light like this More pure love. Borahae to all and please stay safe and healthy everyone 🙏🏻💜🌎

And also, I saw some have suggested Jin’s Live where he talks about going to the military — so sad to think of the pressure these young men are under, always having to please everybody and also face so much criticism . They were always going to go and do their duty but I think it was their government that was using them for their own agenda , and then they copped backlash because of it. So sad, but once again they have shown what remarkable people they are and have handled it with nothing but humility and grace , and of course love for each other and the fans. Truly amazing humans , something we all can only hope to be 💜💜💜

Actually yeah no, thinking about it deeper, you really should react to the live. Even if you dont react to it, watch it in your personal time. Like I said the whole thing is important, but the end is very, VERY important whether you understand the politics of everything going on or not. I know I cried again when I watched it and I wasnt expecting to (you might not 'cry' but you'll get a lot of clarification but for someone who's been following the situation for years, yeah I had to cry)

Miglena

I never cried so much from a musical moment. Chris's speech came into a history moment in time where the news all over the world are mostly about fascism rising everyday. I broke down hearing and seeing this amazing moment of kindness. This song has a special place in my heart now because of it.

There is so many things in this songs that makes me so emotional. The message, the MV and the live performance. It's the most beautiful goodbye for now. Even if I'm grying the song also makes me so happy at the same time. In that music video there is so many hidden gems but how fast Twitter was full of different parts of the MV tells how fast Armys are to find things. You really should watch the welive. Jin is talking many important things on that live. I know it's an hour long but it's really worth it. 💜

I cried watching the video. I cried even more watching the performance & hearing what Chris Martin said. I didnt even realise the reporter was Chris... haha. It is good to check out the V Live. He was very honest and open. This year must really have been a difficult year for them as a group.

PamTan

Beautiful friendship. I’ll be forever grateful of Coldplay’s friendship. He made Jin so happy by having this opportunity. Here’s the performance and introduction with Spanish and English subtitles for whoever needs it https://youtu.be/iIQDaeNkVOM

Ughhh you can't do this to me mah fave brothers!! I was literally tearing up from the time Jared held out his tissue (and Jordan's torn ones 😆). I know, too early! But your words just cut deep 😭 And you've said earlier to me that you hope I enjoy the video when I wake up. You guys want me to cry this hard as soon as I wake up? 😭🤧😭🤧 But seriously, thank you for this video. I totally enjoyed every bit of it 💜 I am actually about to watch it again, coz I'm best friends with angst and pain 😩🥹🤧 Then towards the end of the live performance, seeing you both getting emotional, esp Jared, I'm already sobbing mfao! 😭😩😭😩 I want to give you both a big hug!! Thank you so much for being with us in these different stages of grief. I'm certainly not close to its end!! 😭 Jin adores Chris Martin so much since he was younger. He even had a polaroid photo of him at the back of his phone before. He's the most genuine person that has worked with BTS and the relationship they had is so JINspiring! 💜 It's also so nice to see Jin to have his very own "hyung", since he's the eldest in the group. I also remember that Jin said Chris suggested that the lyrics of the 2nd verse be changed to Korean at the last minute (it was originally in English), and Jin was worried coz the MV filming is the next day but he still had to re-write the lyrics. Chris really guided and mentored Jin so well. I love them both 💜 Since I've mentioned the MV filming, I remember that the director wanted an appearance in Jin's video even just as an astronaut at least. Lumpens have been their MV producer/director since day 1. So their relationship is admirable too. You are right bros - everything behind the scene in making this MV has Jin's personal touch, it has LOVE 🤧💜 And YESSSS PLS!! Pls do the welive too 🥹🤧 Jin has talked about so many important things in there! 🙏 Thank you again for this reaction!! And thank you for not being afraid to show your true, genuine emotions. Love you both mah FAVE brothers!!! 💜💜💜

Alicia

Yes!, I still cry every time I see and heard this song, I know that I’m going to stop in some point but it is a beautiful song that I not going to stop hearing until he is back and all the seven are back and for the rest of my life 💜💜💜💜

I would love to watch the Live with you guys, I haven't had the chance to stream the English sub version. I streamed the live to give Jin the numbers, but as an Aussie my Korean is not great! This Jin and Chris live brought a tear to my eye too. I think I need a re-watch on one of my favourites, Carpool Karaoke just as a cheer me up.

Ahhh, this song... it really does feel like a warm hug. a week before The Astronaut was even announced I, by accident, saw that the Buenos Aires Concert from Coldplay would be shown in cinemas around the world and since I like them anyways I got a ticket. And then we found out that Jin would be there too. And seriously, thatconcert experience was incredible. First, they had bike stations and special sections with a flooring that absorbs energy from jumping on them (I forgot what they're called), which helped power some stuff, they used green energy and tried to make these concerts as eco friendly as possible. Then Chris spoke a huge amount of Spanish. He really went all in to learn to communicate with the fans there in THEIR native language. Coldplay even played a non-Coldplay song in Spanish. He also gave a spotlight to a female Iranian singer to sing a song that is very popular in her home country right now, they showed an english translation of the lyrics and they made me cry. He sang backing vocals in Farsi and with Jin in Korean, so he sang in 4 languages that evening, and during one of their songs he translated the lyrics into sign language too. It was absolutely amazing. And then came The Astronaut. So many feelings about this, but most of all I am thankful. To Jin, for going there, which took him about 36-40h, just to say goodbye to us in person, but also to Coldplay for letting him have that moment at their concert. And they didn't just let him use their stage. they brought out planets, they have wristbands that are connected to bluetooth, similar to army bombs, and they programmed those for the astronaut. They had fireworks ready for him. They gave him that acoustic moment at the end. Chris gave him a little kiss. Coldplay celebrated Jin along with us, and it's so so so beautiful. And while there were a lot of ARMYs on the crowd, the non-ARMY Coldplay fans were also really warm and welcoming and loud for him. I cried so much and was glad I had a friend with me who held my hand.

Honestly, i was on my way to work when this dropped and somehow the tears wouldn't stop in the cab.. 😭😭armies all took the news really well, but somewhere down the line this hit way harder at the thought of this might his last performance for a while.. 😭😭💜💜 would luv to watch the weverse live with you guys, didn't get a Chance to see it yet.. Don't be too hard on yourselves about the fact that u missed Easter eggs in the MV.. You will learn as and when u watch more of BTS 's other MV.. 😂😂 However you should know that BTS never does anything without a reason and purpose. They have been leaving Easter eggs and hints since the beginning of times I would say 😂😂 Be it at a concert or a v live or a tweet or an MV. The attention to detail is so amazing, you can't wrap ur head around it.. They always leave references and connections in their videos.. This is more evident in the bangtan universe (BU) story line.. 💜💜 It shows the care and love they take for armies.. I swear no other fandom gets treatment like ARMY 💜💜💜😎😎 small details like releasing concept photos pictures would be done according their birthday or some anniversary date etc.. it's so cute and wholesome 🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜 Armies are detectives.. 😎😎 But we also get clowned by them as well 😂😂. I hope u get to read this comment..Take care. 💜💜

SingingSeaDragon 01

Jin’s enlistment has hit one of my friends especially hard. He’s her bias and she’s been a fan for about… 4-5 years? And BTS has really helped save her with her own struggles by being the support she needed at the time. And this whole song really hit her hard and it hits me hard too. I just can’t get over how in depth it is and I honestly cannot remember another artist off the top of my head that has ever gone so in depth to give such a huge and precious gift to their fans full of references and messages of love and “I’ll be back” like this song. Not to mention, it’s so nice to see such a beautiful friendship between them and another band like Coldplay, one I grew up with. It’s amazing what you can do if you open your mind and accept the unknown. And not only that, but embrace it. Beautiful 💜

good 4 u, you made an innocent liddle ARMY cry ლ(ಠ_ಠლ)

You guys have been reacting to videos regularly which I LOVE! Please don't feel pressured and I hope you still enjoy the process of discovering BTS. :) For the ARMYs seeing this comment, kindly take time to vote for BTS on GMA IDOL Plus! We're currently at 2nd place still! 🥺 http://global.idolplus.com/vote/NTJjNGI2YW

What we miss in the mv was a amazing explanation, just want to add 2 things ..theirs choose the little girl around 9to 11 years old ..is 11years BTS existe and the end of the mv sound of the bell 🔔 calling him ..in begin we was supposed to be call bell instead of army ..thank you 💜

hey jared and jorden i just want to make sure you wont burn out from making so much content. it must be hard to record and edit so many videos and many reactors do struggle with it. it was something i just found out today because most of them don't talk about it they just stop making content. so be sure to do other stuff you really like or take some breaks. because we care about you and i don't want you to think that making videos is a job. BTS is relaxing to enjoy on your own. so if you want to do that with certain shows like run bts and what not it´s fine. we can always talk about it here afterward. and also idk if you live together or what but if you dont then i can imagine it must be difficult to meet up everyday to film. so just make sure you take care of yourself first. Borahae♥

Hi Jared and Jorden. I am pretty much speechless right now, unable to speak from the raw emotion. Is there a group or entertainer out there that lets their fanbase know CONTINUALLY how much they love them, how much they appreciate them, how much they need them. I started listening to BTS because I was drawn to their music during a difficult time, then fell in love with them for their personalities, their voices, their ability to set aside their pride to make us laugh, to have fun, and to connect with us. I don't know what the army in Korea is like. I only know what boot camp can be like in the army here in the U.S. - and I pray for Jin's safety and his health. And we ARMY will have to go through this 7 times! I am sure I will get to the point where I can listen to the song and watch the MV without crying. Good-bye's, even if they're temporary, are never easy. PLEASE do the weverse live with Jin! Thank you so much for loving BTS so much and for taking the time to do these "deep dives" into the music. (I wish I was as eloquent as some of the people that message you - but I feel like I just ramble lol).

Shirin J

Coldplay are the friends in the industry bts always deserved and never had. I’m so grateful for their genuine friendship it’s beautiful ❤️

Jess Horton

Oh my gosh, I didn't even make the connection that Jin understood "Family" at that moment! After he had all of these experiences in a new world. The definition of family was given to him through Army (the child). Get out of here! So many nuggets and neither of them exchanged words in the video which I think is a direct representation of our relationship with them. We don't have to speak to them but through our actions.. and their actions we feel each others unwavering support.

Kat

Thank you so much for the heartfelt reaction! As Seokjin biased, I could not just process this all yet even until now. There’s not a day that I did not shed a tear since the video was released. I even did not cry when enlistment news was announced. Now, it’s all sinking in and I just.. I love him so much. :( That’s why I/we are doing our best to reciprocate his love.. We wanted this not only to be successful worldwide but also spread love and let people know how amazing is he as an artist. Please watch his live too celebrating the release of The Astronaut. He shared a lot and it’s another thing that made me cry. Love lots from Philippines! 🫶 ps: everyone please show your love by streaming the astronaut and buying his albums if you can. 🥺

Johana

It was such a beautiful performance. This song definitely invokes so many emotions in me especially because of all the meanings behind it. I can say I cried once again rewatching with you guys. 😭 I can only imagine how it must’ve felt to actually be there as Jin performed this song live. But yes definitely check out his v-live!! He talks about a lot of important stuff 😭

As Sad as I am that this Gift to ARMY is in the shadow of his enlistment for 18mo, the Pure Moment between Jin and Chris when he laughs is Everything. Your Reaction to Jin's Performance warmed my Heart. With Those unsolicited tears it brought to you and shivers up your spines. . I'm so Happy to be here sharing your Journey as you fall in Love with the OT7.

Tanya G

I'll admit to not reading through everyone's comments so I can't say for sure that someone else didn't already mention it but....one last easter 🥚egg that I can't believe more people haven't commented on is that the alternate name for ARMY when the band formed was 🔔BELL 🔔. I don't think it's a coincidence (nothing is!) that Jin hears the bike bell being rung by the little girl/ARMY and it brings a smile to his face as he goes to join her/them....

Someone mentioned it in another reaction video I saw. I can’t remember who it was or what channel I was watching, but it was another 🤯 moment for me 💜

I think they said they would try to get it posted today wednesday. Or at least its still Wednesday for me in GA.

as an Argentinian, I'm so happy Coldplay invited Jin to come to their concert! I wish I was there. This song really touched my heart, I feel like it is sad and hopeful at the same time. Absolutely loved it💜

Ellysa Vaj

You’ve truly done Jin’s justice with this reaction. Thank you guys. My heart is full. I’m not someone who follow people on social media or get easily star struck until BTS. When I think about how much they mean to me or how deep my love is for them, it’s a little crazy but here I am 😁. I’ve mentioned this on a few of your reactions before but just in case it got lost somewhere in the thousands of comments I’ll keep posting and requesting it. Please react to BTS ARMY Documentary: you never walk alone pt.1&2. It’s such a heartfelt two part mini documentary made by Taylor of Orig Explores. It’ll bring chills to your spines. https://youtu.be/3u1tl-0d8kw https://youtu.be/bZzMrkCnKp8

Jared was so right the live performance definitely hit different. I admit, I cried too bahaha and yes I would love if you guys reacted to Jin’s weverse live, I haven’t been able to watch it yet so it would be cool to watch it with you guys :)) thanks for another great reaction!!

Antalwyn

Please do his VLive, he gives a lot of behind the scenes info on the MV, mostly about how handsome he is. But he does talk at the end about his enlistment too. Good info, hurts my heart a little, but still very good insight to how the team was viewing/handling their enlistment.

Hien Gonzalez

I cried through your whole hour reaction video. Thank you for what you guys do for Army! BTS for life!

Kia

Just wanted to say that I love you both and I thank you. I haven't really cried about any of it yet actually, at least not more than just a stray tear or so. Idk why. I think it'll fully hit me later down the line. But anyway, I'm saying thank you because while this video didn't make me cry, it also didn't make me feel numb. It just made me feel comforted. I think I've been avoiding letting myself feel whatever I need to feel so I really appreciate you guys' words at the end. I hope you both are doing well. Much love and support always <3

Jondą Wąffąrd

I can’t even do this 7 times 😭😭😭 but I wouldn’t change a thing I will always be grateful for BTSxARMY 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 OT7

ButterButtersBetter

This was such an unbelievably beautiful performance. A meeting that represents absolutely genuine respect, love, and a willingness to understand and look beyond any perceived differences. I will be eternally grateful to Coldplay for inviting Jin to participate in this concert so that we ARMYs were given this wonderful parting gift.

Triccia Ramos

I've watched this more than a handful of times and still cry each and every single time when I see Jin's tears in his eyes during the performance! The admiration that goes both ways between Jin and Chris Martin is so beautiful to witness. You both are outstanding in your analysis and I really appreciate your heart-felt insights 💜💜💜

joaniewwh3502

gaahhhh i cannot not cry whenever listening to this song, watching its mv, or even merely talking about it... his love for army just... i'm not even sure if we deserve it... also, a lil more trivia -- one of the names they considered for the fandom was "bangwools" and it means "bells." at the end of the mv, a bell was heard -- symbolizing the girl her bike which we already know symbolizes army. 🤧🥹💜

J-Lee

I am re-watching this and crying again with my FAVE brothers as it has just been known today that Jin is entering his training on the 13th of Dec 😢🥹🤧 He even posted in weverse that he didn't like that an article leaked where he's gonna be stationed, so he was asking ARMY not to come to send him off as it might be dangerous and he didn't want any ARMY to get hurt. Ughhh this day is full of anxieties for me 😭 So here I am in my safe comfort place - I had to AGAIN watch this to be reminded that he left us with something to hold on that he'll be back SOOONNN, healthy and safe 💜 And we'll be here waiting 😭💜

Kath Choo⁷

Jin is now in and I just had to use this reaction video again as a vessel to let my tears flow. Thanks for reassuring us again and again, that it's absolutely okay to let our emotions flow freely 💜💜💜
