What does 70,000+ ARMYs singing “Epiphany” at the top of their lungs sound like? LOUD.

Today's video is a continuation of a reaction video that we posted on our YouTube channel, where we listen to “Epiphany” for the first time! If you haven't already seen that video, go check it out now and then come back. We'll be waiting for you…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrUTcZu1Gj0

If Jimin’s “Serendipity” is a BIG-WARM-BLANKET, then what in the world is “Epiphany”? This song felt like the longest HUG we have ever received. Jin’s display of vocal range and diversity, combined with the soothing and multifaceted beat, was EXHILARATING!!

When Jin paused and looked directly into the camera during his live performance…he just about pierced our fragile souls.

ARMY, we’re curious…how are you doing on your own journey of self-love? THERE ARE NO WRONG ANSWERS! Only perfect imperfect ones :)

As always, we truly appreciate your love and support (WE’LL CONTINUE SAYING THIS UNTIL THE END OF TIME). Let us know if you have any questions, feedback, thoughts, etc. at any time! BORAHAE!! 💜💜

Sometimes I wonder if I should comment on the videos I have had to go backwards and watch as I joined Patreon late. But I have to say that This was adorable. I loved having the same reaction as you guys did on Jins WWH look lol. I also enjoy seeing you guys last year compared to now 💜

Liz Torres

Hello guys, I’m ready

fox

This is going to be so beautiful 😍

chantal bavaud

Omg the Demo version is amazing. Thank you so much for the reaction cant wait to watch it

Anja⁷

Here we go again. 🫰

Sara JIN

Hi again 💜💜

Julez

Hello everyone if you see this I gave a yoongi (Suga) song suggestion belowwww love you both (best reactors)💟💟💟

Glaseon_711

Hi everyone! I love this so much!

Loredana de Caro

oh yeah oh yeah! Ar there comming some funny Jin videos too? ( fanmade ones)

Noll⁷

Suvi was right, you are the best guys 😍 Borahae 💜💜💜

Yay

My anthem! The song that saved me and made me ARMY. Thank you so much for reacting to this masterpiece 💜

Daphne Schaffer

There of videos of when Jin started taking piano lessons... Suga helped him, so this is another thing he learned to do when they were travelling.

Kiannelis Rodriguez Alvarez

So happy you guys reacted to this song, it’s one of my favorite one, it always makes me cry. Amazing reaction as always 💜

Daphne Schaffer

You should hear his high adlibs on "Crystal Snow" - my go-to comfort song. Everyone thinks it's Jimin tearing the roof off but it's not. (Japanese album check those songs out) At the concerts they each share a solo time which gives the others time to rest... not really cuz they watch each other on the screen behind the stage cheering each other on. You should hear what they say to Jimin when he gets all sexy. RM loves it the most because he wrote serendipity and Jimin performs it very sensually.

Loredana de Caro

Are reacting to the Music video of Epiphany too?

Kiki

Yes, the look of Jin was just awesome!! And the Demo Version! Ugh…i love it even more than the original!! It‘s just beautiful! Since we heard Jared sing on Youtube, I think it might be time for you guys to rap again. Still waiting for you to drop some of your written songs 😍 (no pressure ofc) Love goes out💜 Hanging in there. I love my family but the dark season is always a little scary for me. It leaves much time to overthink. And overthinking can be really exhausting. So I‘m a little exhausted but your videos always give my head a little rest! Thank you for this! Hope you‘re doing okay 💜

teresa

You are wrong guys, the fan cam videos are actually while jin was performing!! It's something DAMN GOOD!!!

Daphne Schaffer

Grapes... Jin's uncle has a farm that they all visited. with Jin once. Jin often will bring them fruit gifts when he visits. the farm. They all received a pack of perfect grapes last year, and strawberries.

Crystal
>>97063419

They chose not to because they'll be diving into the story line at some point, and didn't want it spoiled just yet for them :)

SugaIsMyPetRock (Pamela)

Imagine how much love there would be in this world if everyone knew they were worthy of self love🤯🫶🏻💜

leat

it was during the break. they would play BTS music in the background and Army sang along to it. you should watch the brazilin army one that is truly loud they are louder than jin. they also sing to jimin serendipity and he smile when army overpowering his voice it´s so cute https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peN_LHvmawA

Hannah

This is fantastic, I love your reactions and analyses! But are ya'll not gonna watch the MV? It's labeled as a "Comeback Trailer" but the company does that with a few of their songs. Here it is if you wanna watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIkZOLsnoqY

soyaspinsxxx

About the demo: The lyrics are pretty much nonsensical and yes, written by Jin, as they were only meant to be a guide for the melody he composed, not actual lyrics! 😅 Big love as always, can't wait for your RM reactions!

Jess Horton

O2 does not hold 70k however I'm sure Wembley or Sao Paulo did. I've never heard fans sing along with so much dedication as the Brazilian Army.

Alicia

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Laurie Brennan⁷

I think the audience singing at the O2 was singing along to the MV, which they play a bunch of before the concert, but I could be wrong. What is even more astounding to me is not only that 70,000 people were compelled to sing those lyrics together, but that they were in a primarily English speaking venue singing perfectly along in Korean! BTS has some power and ARMY is amazing. I love the demo version too..such a very different song and also so beautiful. Thanks for the insightful deep dive.

LaLaJin

Yes, Jin wrote the lyrics to Epiphany demo!!

a.

i actually don’t actively listen to this song as much as i could, because it overwhelms me a lot and takes me back to when it was released: the year for myself as well as the year for bts and what that meant for us all collectively and individually. so it’s been some time since i put on some headphones and listened to it; but doing so to see your reaction (because u guys ARE the best out there) i was once again reminded of the genuine power behind this song. the build up that almost swells inside of you and makes emotions you haven’t paid attention to/ignored want their release. it makes me feel a lot. i can’t even imagine what the feeling must be like to be in a massive crowd and hear those words in unison. it would definitely be an unforgettable experience.

minimoonie **

Thanks for the amazing reaction video!! The lyrics to epiphany demo weren't meant to have any meaning when actually read but meant to guide the melody for the initial version of the song by jin himself :))

Cheryl ⁷ Lambert
>>97065283

It reminds me of the crowd at Wembley singing Young Forever as a surprise. I can’t watch that without crying like a baby, it’s so touching. 💜

Kirssy Mago

Ahhh this was perfect 🥺💜. I love this song such much. I still hope you guys react to MOON in the future.

Cheryl ⁷ Lambert

Loving yourself is a work in progress for me everyday. It’s easier to love others. This is such a beautiful, touching song with a heartfelt performance. When the tone hits as he’s at the top of the stairs, he has his Epiphany. I think the demo could be a stand alone song itself. Their his feelings, his words, his heart. They don’t have to make perfect sense. They’re just beautiful. 🤗💜💜🇨🇦

Alishea

I had the pleasure of being able to sing Epiphany in an arena with over 30K people in Hamilton. I'll never forget that feeling because everyone around me was crying 😭 The ending song for Love yourself tour was called Answer: Love Yourself and for the extended tour it was Mikrokosmos. At a BTS concert they play the music videos and some songs before the appear for a good 30 minutes and when epiphany comes on everyone sings their hearts out!

fox
>>97061963

Okay Ive made it through and I love the armys singing 😍 I would say this is before the concert, they play music videos before starting the concert. It was so amazing being a part of this during LA concerts, we went crazy 🤣 almost lost my voice before the show even started practicing fan chants 😬😆 Brazilian army's do the best fan chants and sing along the best during performances I swear, someday you should check out the fancams.

Annmarie

I really needed this today after being reminded that Jin is shipping out to the military in a week! 🥹💜 thank you!!

Inamar de Souza

hey, guys. I love your reactions, but please avoid stage mix. Jin is perfect but different in each live performance. I would rather follow always a full live performance. Then you can feel what he is feeling, his intensity, his soul, which is different each time he performed.

Jody Unapologetically Me Weston

In this video and the Taylor video you got a sample of the beautiful voices of ARMY!! If possible, can you react to Brazilian ARMY fan chants?!? PLEASE!!! https://youtu.be/peN_LHvmawA And if you watch that you have to watch BTS being BTS at award shows!!! https://youtu.be/TB_6OD00C0Q Love y'all's reactions!! I'm currently going through chemo treatments and I try to schedule them around y'all's new video releases. Lol y'all should know that to me and others you guys are amazing!! Your content keeps me smiling and helps me get through my treatment without allowing my fearful thoughts to consume me. Purple y'all all the way in Houston TX!! Stay blessed Bordahae 💜

RachyOT7

Demos are not the actual song. Artists will use random words as they try to work out a melody for singing it. So ignore the words and listen to the melody. (In other demos the lyrics are basically there but the music is different, etc)

Alix Drifty

You're right - When they're doing demos, it's often about the melody, not the words - so they just use English words that they like, and that flow nicely together to express the melody. English flows a little better than Korean when trying to get a melody down, which is why some of their demos will be in all English but not make much sense. But yes, Jin wrote the demo! He explained in a livestream (Unfortunately I can't find a quick link to just that section of the livestream) that he was given the beat, and made up various options for melodies by singing into his phone - this demo was the one that he developed the most (to the point of recording it in the studio), but in the end Hitman Bang's version was chosen. The clips of army singing that you watched were done while the MV was playing before the concert started - but you CAN find clips of army singing along with Jin's performance too. They're all really amazing. On the path to loving myself, I am doing OK! BTS has helped a lot by giving me stuff to think about, and also songs to sing when I'm having a rough day.

Angela

Mind you, that after Jin's performance, he'd gone straight to another very touching song of vocal line "The Truth Untold". I cried a ton after I knew what was the story behind the lyrics.

J. Ezbet

I really wish you had watched the video - it's so beautiful. I suggest you not skip over videos just because they are in the BU. All of the BU videos can stand alone as beautiful videos. And most people who connected with BTS before Epiphany discovered the BU videos in whatever order they came across them; that's how I did it. The BU is a puzzle that, in my opinion, is best discovered as a puzzle without explanations and the order doesn't matter as you work out the puzzle. I think the explanation videos can spoil the fun of the puzzle. Jin said once when asked what English word he has the most trouble with, said it is epiphany. And I love the way he says it: e-pip-hany And I have Epiphany tattooed on my arm! My first and only tattoo!

RhadAnne

I was and still am undergoing a tough time and so in October, I decided to take a break and decided to go to Soth Korea. It probably was fate because BTS then announced their concert and it happened to fall on the last day of my Busan stay which made my trip even more meaningful and special. That decision was difficult to do, the fact that I had to leave my kids for 10 days but it was something I really needed, and it was all so worth it. That was me loving myself!

Sabrina K

There was a MV for this ya'll didn't watch awww:(

Nanon ApoBangpo⁷

My own journey to self love in non existent and has never been one.

BTSAngel777

No solo song has ever pierced my soul like Epiphany. Please follow-up with OT7 ending song/performance from same concert called ANSWER: LOVE YOURSELF 💜

Bee

Great video as usual guys!!! Epiphany is such a special song to me! I have the lyrics “I’m the one I should love in this world” tattooed on my arm so I can look at it every day and be reminded of the fact that I should always have confidence and love for myself. I also have the lyrics “You gave me the best of me, so you’ll give you the best of you.” from Magic Shop on my other arm. Aside from the confidence these tattoos give me every time I read them , they’re also a beautiful reason to picture BTS and Jin every time I look down at them! 💜 I cannot wait till you get to Answer: Love Myself, it’s such a beautiful song about self love too!!!

Monique

When I heard this song for the first time I cry so hard. No matter what age you are you need to hear this message. I want this tattoo on me with other song they have.

macro1seattle

The crowd is singing along to the video before the concert started. And the pause in the stage performance is from the mv.

GG

I've come to realize that Jin is my favorite vocalist from the group even though I love all the other vocal members' voices as well. He just has the most emotional and melodious voice in my opinion and always gets me in my feels.

Ellysa Vaj
>>97068914

Sending out hugs to you. I’m glad you were able to do that for yourself.

J. Ezbet
>>97067983

Yeah, I know, there's always a flood of explanations. They can't really discover on their own. I had so much fun discovering it on my own without watching any explanation videos - starting with being so impressed by how far Hobi had come after growing up in an orphanage. lol

Ellysa Vaj

There was a time when antis thought BTS would make a better group with only 6 members as Jin was signed on only because of his looks and believed to possess no talents like the other members. Because of this, he had to work extra hard to prove himself. What you said about his stares was straight on 😂. “Perhaps I’m a bit dull and imperfect Perhaps people might not see my shy sparkle But I’m me just as I am”

shelby🖤

i can't even begin to explain how much this song means to me. the love yourself seriously changed my life. i went through all the stages of finding self-love through these albums. this song was, quite literally, when i had my epiphany. this song was the moment it clicked in my head that i need to love myself and stop giving a shit about what other people think of me. i am always deserving of love from myself no matter what. i have plans to get the flowers from the mv (you'll know what i mean when you get there) tattooed so i constantly have the reminder with me. genuinely one of my most special songs. i also, love the demo. i never expected to like it as much as i did because of how much i loved epiphany already. oh, how wrong i was. i'd love to have a full version of the demo.

Ubel

Ahh you really had to be there at the time to truly understand the impact the song has with ARMY, my first concert was SY: Rose Bowl stadium concert D2. Witnessing Jin singing Epiphany was so moving that I had tears in my eyes...It's truly ARMY favorite song becuase its about self-love. As Jordan said "...being there is spirtual enlightment," would be the best way to descibe being there to witnessing Epiphany live. Furhermore, I just want to say there is a big reason why all the members love Epiphany beacuse each of the members have gone through so much, and even RM struggled to love themselves. RM admits he struggle to love himself at NY LY concert (iconic: USE BTS to love yourself): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eytdBBsYneM Love Yourself: Speak Yourself The Final in Seoul: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gboFaW4ShKY Love Yourself/Speak Yourself concert I hold them very dearly because it holds so much raw emotions in all of the members. TBH all of their music and witnessing it live is an HONOR to be witness!! It really explains how TOUGH it is to get tickets to a BTS concert!!

Melie

You all crack me up when you watch stage compilations lol. When he stopped singing and just looked at us. I mean I cannot describe how that physically hurt in the best way in person. Like I didn't know if I was going to be ok again lol. But this is why Epiphany has been my Ringtone going on 8 months now. It's that soft chorus part that you all kept watching on your YouTube first reaction LOL

Johana

I truly hope that I could go to a BTS concert at least once in this lifetime. I am a baby Army, so unfortunately for me I have to wait until they reunite again. But this performance is one of my favorites 💜

Erin

Thanks for the reaction guys :) This song is definitely one of the pearls in this fandom! This song definitely stands alone and gives you goosebumps alone, but when you hear it in the context of the Love Yourself series, it'll blow your mind. You go through so much of the struggle of love and then get to this beauty. It's a culmination of many many years. Can't wait for you guys to get to the Love Yourself eras. So much awesome content waiting for you. :)

joaniewwh3502

army was crying and then epiphany was followed by the truth untold (vocal line)... omg it was so heavenly. jin's voice was crystal clear, piercingly beautiful and beautifully piercing... and i know thousands of souls felt the way i did when witnessing this performance live. unforgettable. you're right, guys... it's "close to spiritual..." that's the right word. 😭 the entire love yourself speak yourself concert was a gorgeous blend of high energy and spilling love and emotions. that's what i was like. one moment i'm dancing and the next, i have tears in my eyes... then back to singing and dancing and crying and... oh man... endlessly remarkable through and through, add the love and support of armys around... it's an experience i wish for anyone to have in this world.

Nathalie Del Valle

I ran over here to see the extended version! Epiphany will always have a place in my heart. I teared up the first time I heard it because I was going through a rough time and it really hit home. I’m so glad you guys reacted to it! 💜 much love + happy holidays!!

Kia

Epiphany will always be a song of my heart. It was the first BTS song I ever heard in March of 2021. My family and I were homeless, living in a hotel at the time, and it was a depressing time for us. I was alone in the hotel room one day and I heard a snippet of Epiphany on tiktok. I fell in love with the song so I looked BTS up on Amazon music and everything is magic from there. Epiphany didn’t stop there with being a song that means so much to me. It sparked an old passion I had for playing the flute. I used to play from 5th grade to 9th, then I stopped for about 7 years. I forgot how to read music and how to play as well as before but one day I was listening to Epiphany and I thought about how beautiful it would be to be able to play it on my flute. How much of a full circle and meaningful moment it would be for me. So I purchased a new flute (cuz my old one broke) and I started getting reacquainted with what I would say is one of my old, if not my first, loves. I’m 22 now, I stopped playing around age 15. It’s been almost another year since I decided to learn Epiphany on my flute and with life in the way I can’t dedicate the time I’d like to it. But recently I’ve been trying to do things that’ll make me happy. That will ease my mind and comfort me. So I’ve been learning. I now know how to play it! It’s not the best yet, but it’s beautiful. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank Seokjin enough for one, bringing BTS and ARMY into my life and two, sparking my love and passion for playing music again. I owe him everything and more, as I do the entire group. Jin’s impacted my life more than he’ll ever know. I have the utmost respect and gratitude for him. Anyways thank you both for the video. I love you. Much love to you both always 💜💜

Cassidy Barger

There's something about the demo's melody that resonates so much with me. I LOVE the version they went with, especially the message it represents, but I can't help but melt every time I hear the demo version. He truly is the silver voice :,)

Angel
>>97077569

Jin wasn't signed on only because of his looks. He was *noticed* by scouting agents because of his looks and then he went to the audition like everyone else and passed after showing what he offered. And antis hate on every member so their opinions dont hold much merit.

crystal b

Epiphany was the song that hit home for me to actually start loving myself. Because why not? Is what I got from the song. It was like 2am when I sat down and listened to it with the lyrics going and just cried cause I was thankful and regretful to myself that I held out so long before finally being told that it’s okay to love who you are. The other OT7 song that had the same emotional effect is Answer: Love Myself. But Jin singing in an almost intimate way that holds ur hand and tells you that you are a precious soul. Whew. Yea. Thanks for loving it as much as us

Members of QHC

When yall went from “Hell yeah, Model Jin!” to “Oh shit, he’s getting up” it was so so funny omg

moon Kim

In order for you to understand Epipany, you need to know the BTS Universe. Jin is very important in the BU. BU is the essence and roots of their music. In fact, in BU, they contain all the key messages and lot of ester eggs in the MV video rather than the lyrics. This is the BU order. I need you On stage prologue:Butterfly Run Epilogue : Young Forever Wings shorts teaser: Begin, Lie, Stigma, First love, Reflection, Mama, Awake Euporia Love yourself highlight reel Fake Love Ephipany I highly recommend you to fall into BU someday.

Zoi

I can’t wait for them to get into the BU.

Joanne Magdalene⁷

This is the song that opened the door for me to the world of BTS. I was strongly advocating about loving myself back then in 2019 and this song appeared like a jackpot to me during of what I was feeling during that time. My friend posted the lyrics on her IG story and I just had to go to YouTube to search the song to listen to it. And here I am today a 4yr old ARMY that bleeds purple!💜💜💜

Les

Hey Jared & Jordan, in regards to you both saying this could be an ot7 song, you're not that far off. There's actually the climax song off of Love Yourself: Answer album called...Love Yourself: Answer lol. Its the final conclusion to the series of the LY series and in my opinion, the song that answers to both Serendipity & Singularity. It does have rap, singing, the whole bts dish. But what makes it special is truly the lyrics and melody of the song. Its a song that will forever be one of my favorites. Its a happy crying type of song. You dont have to react to it, but heres a link to a live performance of LY Answer. 50K plus people singing this song is a marvel to behold. https://youtu.be/pzZPvh3VYKM

Hana

Epiphany happens about 2/3 though the concert. It's the first part of what a friend and I called the "trilogy of death". Epiphany, The Truth Untold and Outro: Tear, 3 highly emotional songs that they put back to back and that make me uncontrollably sob every single time. The clip that you saw of ARMYs singing was from before the concert even started. They tend to play BTS Music Videos before the show and people sing along already, it's magical. As far as I know, he did write the lyrics for the Demo himself, and I love that he was comfortable enough to share it with us. Epiphany does mean the world to me. This song, and Jin in general, has helped me a lot in finding self acceptance and self love, and while it is a journey and kind of a life long process, I think I'm on a good path. He is just so unapologetically himself....the oldest who is very mature and very childish, who loves to make others love, who is one of the biggest stars in the world but gets shy as heck around new people, who reads webtoons at a party and leaves early, who wrote a song about fishing as a joke... He makes me feel so comfortable being myself, no matter what others might think about me.

Agnieszka_BTS Borahae

Jin is my bias. I love his funny and kind personality. By the way each Bon Voyage episode has behind the scene. You can find out what exactly Jin was doing in his 3 hours walk and see first steps BTS in Bergen😀. Suga in episode 2 was working on his mixtape in hostel. That why he was not included in episode

Kristin Zuehl

Epiphany was my first BTS song. I have dealt with depression, deep depression, for my entire life. When I hear this song I always get a lump in my throat that burns and tears in my eyes. Sometimes I just have to cry it out. When I am feeling down or bad about myself I will listen to it. I love the melody and Jin’s voice-like it lulls me back to reality of taking care of myself and looking for the blessings. Once I heard this song I started searching for other BTS songs (at the time I didn’t realize Dynamite was them!). I find myself only listening to BTS….no matter what the situation or mood I can find a song (or songs) to listen to. I never liked rap until listening to them. Of course, I still can’t listen to any other rap lol. I am in awe every day of these 7 young men, that started out as boys, that can touch people’s hearts, make them feel better about themselves, make them laugh or cry, and as an American I don’t understand the songs until I read the lyrics! As I have seen written before….I am in this Bangtan sh** for life! Thank you again for another amazing reaction! You guys are truly the best! 💜💜

Dotty

It'd be great if you guys could watch the updated Intro to BTS since you guys have more information now and can understand more of it with your added perspective. I think it would be good to get your view of it now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huV_yIdxZPY

neha rika

J&J please please please react to The last by suga and so far away by suga ft Jin and JK … This will be your new favourite songs. I bet!

Sara JIN

Hi Jared and Jordan, I love you so much and really appreciate your effort. Keep up the great work I would like to suggest a song from the vocal line called The Truth untold. It is truly a masterpiece. I hope you will listen to it as soon as possible. I am sure you will love it. Every time I listen to it, I get goosebumps and my tears flow without realizing that there is a sad story behind this song😢. I hope you have a great day/night 🫶 Color coded https://youtu.be/tK4oNOE4V6s Live stage mix https://youtu.be/q9yaP4wZ_tI

LIBBY WILSON

This has al a ays been one of my favorite but RM has added several more to my favorites. Each one of thecmembers are so greatly gifted...and in one group! Go figure. We get them as a group and as individual artists of the group!

TI

Thank you for doing justice to this beautiful song! Given that you peppered in Jimin content throughout Jimtober, will you be doing the same for Jinvember? I'm hoping there'll be a surprise reaction to Awake even though it didn't win the poll, because I think it was the moment I became BTS Army. It was the first time that I, a perpetual overachiever with imposter syndome and deepseated terror that I'll fail everyone in my life, felt heard, felt like someone else in the world understood how I felt. To this day, when I feel overwhelmed, I'll sing the bridge to myself and it usually helps calm me down.

TM

I am patiently excited and can't wait for you both to react to V's stigma it is definitely going to blow your minds

M Mia

I was at both O2 arena AND the Wembley stadium concerts and i have to tell you... Guys... before the concert starts, the 1h ish before the show starts they play their MV's and songs.... so what you had watched is the ARMY's singin alongside a video.. AND we are so godman loud (and i am so proud of that).. Being an ARMY showed me how to appreciate a singer or a rapper. When i go to a live show of n singer/ rapper that comes to my own country/ county/ city, i am giving my all damn knowledge of their discography. even if i look like a weirdo or a lunatic :))) giving respect to an artist, as much as you can or as much as you know, /i/ think is the highest respect for them...
