Let the serenading begin…🎶

(IF VIDEO IS BLOCKED IN YOUR COUNTRY, WATCH HERE: VIMEO) - PASSWORD: MERRYXMAS!

Today, we tried our very best to just sit back, relax and let BTS serenade us…without grabbing our mousepad to analyze the lyrics, or digging deeper to identify underlying meaning. How’d we do? 😉

This Christmas, we are ABUNDANTLY thankful for each and every one of you. The amount of love, support, encouragement, care, guidance, advice, input, comfort, joy, happiness, excitement, and serenity that you have all provided to us in 2022 is enough to last us ten lifetimes.

PLEASE take a moment today to celebrate YOURSELF. You are alive. And the world is a better place because of it. Be kind and gentle to yourself. Eat something you really enjoy. Indulge in a good show or comforting reaction video. TAKE A NAP!

ARMY, as always, we truly appreciate your love and support (WE’LL CONTINUE SAYING THIS UNTIL THE END OF TIME). Awww Guys! Merry Christmas 💓🥰

Cheryl ⁷ Lambert

You both are obviously still feeling and sounding very sick. Please rest and get well. Here’s my Romanian mom’s recipe and it really works A mug with boiled water or tea 1/2 lemon juice 1 teaspoon of honey 1 1/2 ounces of Rum or Whiskey (this is optional but it works best if you can drink alcohol) Drink it while it’s really hot immediately before bed. Wear something warm and get under the covers. You’ll sweat it out overnight and should feel much better in the morning. Please take care of yourselves 🤗💜💜🇨🇦

Merry Christmas Good start! I love christmas tree, makes me cry every single time. And our beloved summer as well. Woo Shik the main character is a good friend of Taehyung. They are part of the woogasquad who met in/ during hwarang. They also have their own in the soop friendcation series. And since I'm spending my Christmas being sick as well, this was exactly what i need to feel better

Tanya G

Merry Christmas my friends. Such a pleasure and privilege to know you both as well. Many blessings for you and your family. Take care of you… 💜💜💜

Chhuon Seemuong

Merry Christmas guys. May the new year treat you kind.

Beckyboo⁷

This is a perfect end to my Christmas day. Thank you, guys 💜 - Edit - You got a glimpse of how busy promotions and end of year TV shows are in Korea. 2019, the guys were everywhere they worked so hard, released MOTS Persona, world tour intermittently up to October, performed at all the major KR award/TV shows, then they flew to NYC for NY Rockin Eve. It was a lot. Hope you feel better 💜

Steph

Merry Christmas to you and your family guys 💜💜 Can’t wait to watch this later!

Alishea

Best Christmas present ever I really needed this today 😭 Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!🎄💜

Sascha

Merry Christmas to the both of you and take care, you sound like you need some hot tea with lots of honey ! And as always, sincere reaction and perfect timing, you never disappoint 💜

Harley

I'm pretty sure V was referring to the movie Mean Girls lol also they were watching Tomorrow x Together (TXT) cover Boy in Luv. TXT is their junior group so the other group that debuted under Big Hit so they're like their little brothers of the label

Precious Lafleur

Merry Christmas Jared and Jordan!!!!! It’s great spending Christmas with my favorite guys! I hope you had a good one!!!! Borahae💜💜💜

Merry Christmas! I can't wait to see what 2023 brings! I hope you both are feeling better soon.

a) drink ur warm fluids guys! hope u get better asap y’all still sound a little out of it b) tae was talking abt mean girls i think 😭😭 i love how yoongi just nodded and went along w it their dynamics are so wholesome it’s really just tae asking for something and yoongi complying lmfaoo and c) answering why tae has so many songs released around this time well…”when winter comes…V will be back.” on snow flower, which was released also dec 25th 2020 tae has said: “my thoughts become softer and deeper in winter. i decided to hurry up and release a song for ARMY while it was still winter, the season i was born in and the one that describes me best.” so it’s safe to say taehyung loves winter and winter loves taehyung. ty for the reaction!!

Donshay Stewart

txt which stands for Tomorrow x Together the group that bts was watching and who later came in their room is another kpop under the same label as bts which is why there are sometimes called "bts little brothers" and they covered bts boy in love that day it was a really cool performance that i recommend you to check out and bts relationship with txt is so cute

Pralee

Merry Christmas to both of you Jared and Jordan. 🎄🎄🎄

Vicki M

Merry Christmas, thanks for this great reaction. I hadn't seen that behind-the-scenes in a while, interesting that at 39:50 Suga talking about wanting to be a vocalist ... feeding my delulu ideas about his next solo album, Sweet Night isn't a Christmas song, it's another OST that Tae did for his friend Park Seo-Joon, a member of the Wooga Squad, friends from the k-drama they all starred in. Sweet Night is my favorite Tae's solo songs and a song you should consider for his birthday reactions.

Daphne Schaffer

Choi Woo Shik in this drama is one of the Wooga Gang members and a dear friend of V's, along with Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik all actors, and Peakboy a music artist. Woo Shik was in the famous movie Parasite!.

Jw Kim

Merry Christmas, Jared & Jordan I am a Korean ARMY and lack English, so please understand even if I am not good at writing This is Korea, so I can check the email notification you sent me in the morning When I wake up and check the notification, I feel so happy and happy that day I can't understand everything you're saying because I can't speak English The atmosphere and facial expressions alone make you happy and I think you will feel the same when you see and hear BTS So I was surprised and grateful to see you guys learn Korean this time Thanks to you, I thought about studying English. Thank you Can I ask you a favor? I can't watch the video that you uploaded this time because of copyrights in Korea This happens sometimes when I upload a broadcasting company video, but I was so sad that I couldn't watch it today If it's okay, can you upload it on other streaming sites? I'm sorry for leaving so many comments. I wish you a merry Christmas and full of happiness Thank you at all times.

Tuba Demir

I wished you would say something about TXT at the end. Just to Show us, that you understood that bts Was talking about TXT at the end. 😅

korgi

Merry Christmas!! i'm glad you guys enjoyed these!!, i hope you guys had a beautiful Christmas!! thank you for taking the time to upload today despite it being a holiday,, we truly appreciate it!

Merry Christmas Jared & Jordan! I am a Japanese ARMY. I always look forward to your contents. Thanks for uploading it in spite of the holidays, but I can't watch it because it is blocked by copyright. Your SBS Christmas carol medley is the best choice I've ever seen for Christmas! I would be appreciate if you could upload it on a platform other than YouTube. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday!

Melie

Thank you so much for the upload! And yes, the beauty about consuming BTS music is that there is not a specific way! Sometimes you can be super analytical from the moment it drops (researching meaning, interpreting a mv, looking for clues for unspoken words, etc). But at other times you can simply enjoy the music - I did notice yall still had your notebooks LOL. It's such a great treat either way, so glad you all are enjoying. Ok continue to watch now :)

Lorena Walker

Merry Christmas. I hope you’re both feeling much better.

Melie

Oh, on Christmas Tree, I've always tried to think about the lyrics from the perspective of the OST that BTS members are singing about. For this one, it is based on 2 high school sweethearts that are clearly in love - eventually separated - but then their paths cross again, in a different way of course (I won't ruin it if someone here wants to see it). But this verse is like nature celebrating the love that they have for each other - even if they both have not realized it yet. Whispering of the stars - They're singing like Christmas Trees For us. There love is like shinning stars shinning brightly like presents under a Christmas tree. There is an endless sense of curiosity and longing here.

Please post another link I cant watch…

Laurie Brennan⁷

Thank you for this beautiful reaction. I hope you guys are feeling better and managed to spend the day with family. Due to being snowed in for the last few days, we are going to try to make our Christmas happen tomorrow. I love this Gayo Medley performance....I've watched it so many times since becoming ARMY. JK's version of "Oh Holy Night" can bring me to tears with some of the notes he hits. They all did amazing. You can also see a great version of the rappers and vocalists singing together in their cover of Coldplay's "Fix You" (would be blocked on YT). Their voices all meld together so perfectly. I laugh every time I see Suga in this performance singing his heart out. Suga, who was assured he would be a rapper who wouldn't have to dance when being recruited. I wonder if he is saying in his head during this candy cane dance "You're still a badass rapper Yoongi". I hope you might get to V's "Snow Flower" for his birthday....it's more of a "winter" song to me than a "Christmas" song, but I just love it and play it year round. "Stigma" is going to blow your minds too. I hope you had a wonderful day today J & J and ARMY.

D Joo

Merry Christmas!! I am so glad to know that you guys reacted to the medley but I can't watch this it is blocked.

A. Brown

Jared & Jordan, I hope you are having a great Christmas. This was such a treat. Snow Flower was Tae's Christmas gift to ARMY in 2020, hopefully you can react to that also at some point. So at least since 2020 when I joined the fandom Tae has given ARMY a song during Christmas, 2020 Snow Flower, 2021 Christmas Tree, and 2022 cover of It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas. As for the line about stars singing like Christmas Trees I took that to mean how stars shine brightly and twinkle in the dark night sky and Christmas trees do the same, shine brightly and twinkle. So shining and twinkling is basically the stars way of singing. Also Christmas Tree isn't a Christmas song that's just the title, Snow Flower would have been a better choice for wanting Christmas themed songs and if you ever deep dive into it you'll find it actually had an additional message behind it, I won't spoil you what it is. 💜

Yay

Happy Holidays Jared, Jordan and ARMY 🎄🤗💜

Cherry Valens

I loved this, thank you guys so much! 💜💜

JessNunez⁷💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

V's Christmas Tree OST is the lead soundtrack for "Our beloved summer" the male lead in that drama is Choi Woo-shik one of V's best friends and fellow Wooga squad members. The female lead in that drama is Kim Da-mi who also played the female lead in "Itawon Class" opposite of Park Seo-Joon another one of V's best friends and fellow wooga squad member (V also sang the lead soundtrack for that drama as well) It's funny watching Bts episodes where you can see the members BTS actually get jealous of V's relationship (in good fun) with his Wooga squad but that's whole other rabbit hole lol Great reaction as always guys! Borahae 💜 Merry Christmas 🎄

Liz Torres

Merry Christmas everyone. Jared and Jordan thank you for sharing this with us. I hope you are both feeling better. Enjoy what's left of the holidays. Stay warm and take care of yourselves. Love you both dearly. 💜💜

Happy holidays!! Hope you both get to spend it with your friends and loved ones! 🎄

Actually 'Christmas Love' by Jimin and 'Snow Flower' by V were literally released within a day, if not a couple hours from each other! Jimin and Jungkook also did a Christmas song together called 'Christmas Day' which is sort of a cover of 'Mistletoe' by Justin Bieber!

Cara

Happy holidays Jared and Jordan!! Thanks for this, I love Christmas Tree and Christmas Love so much

Karla

I loved this, thank you. Merry Christmas, Jaren and Jordan!!! 💜🎄🎉

J-Lee

Love this Christmas special!! Thanks so much my FAVE brothers for this! I think I would need to watch this over and over again this Christmas season. Okay-- quick points: • Christmas tree I believe isn't necessarily a Christmas song. It's an OST of the drama My Beloved Summer. I don't know how much you guys like romantic comedy dramas, but if you'd be interested, watch it, it's really good! The male lead actor is V's close friend. He usually sings OST for the dramas of his friend actors. You might get an idea of why romcom K-dramas are a hit around the world.(it's in Netflix). And to mention, I CRY EVERY TIME V's SONG PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND 😭🤧 • Christmas Love is my most fave Christmas song since it was released. Jimin's voice just makes me smile always, like I always feel that bright, joyful spirit of Christmas bcoz of how lovely Jimin's voice is! 🥰💜 • The Christmas carol was perfect! You guys are right. The songs were definitely compatible for them as well as the pairings. They all complement each other so well. And isn't it fun to watch them behind the scenes in these shows? They used to be nervous during their rookie years. But now, they're just having too much fun, but still their focus was the same - it's to give ARMY their best.

J-Lee

(continued Lol!) • Just a fun fact: RM and Jin are the no. 1 MINT CHOCO haters 😂 You might want to see this for when you get to insert in some of your personality videos reaction: https://youtu.be/0LsDjxaQO3I • The group that they were watching was TXT (Tomorrow x Together) who did their cover of Boy In Luv during the same show. They are their hoobaes (juniors, opposite of sunabe), they're the next group formed after BTS by Hybe so they're basically their little brothers. You can also try and check them out, only the covers of BTS songs that they did - they have that Boy in Luv and Dynamite too. They're also the biggest fans of BTS. They respect and look up to our boys so much, see how they bowed sincerely as soon as they walked into the door. So yeah, I think that's all my points hehe!! I miss giving my points in your long vids. So please get ready for it as I'm back on track!! Merry Christmas my FAVE brothers!! Let's spend more Christmas together in our Bangtan universe 💜💜💜

Hebah Alramsi

I wish you a beautiful day my friends. Guys you really need to listen to Jimin and Jungkook Christmas song. It’s called Mistletoe https://youtu.be/XUrWT68HEEo . Take care of yourselves and your health . Please don’t go out without your mask because coronavirus is back again. Be careful please 💙💙💙

Ushi

Bless you both, this is such a wonderful treat! 🌟💜🙏 Wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday as well. P.S. If you are interested in hearing a little more from the rap line in Christmas songs, check out “A Typical Trainee’s Christmas” (https://youtu.be/GpRZUgWgeXw) and “A Typical Idol’s Christmas” (https://youtu.be/u6egiLvaXEA) — they are from the earlier days / roughly where you’re at in the Rise of Bangtan timeline. I think you will enjoy their sarcastic wordplay and playful melody mashups!

Kiki

Oh I loved this one so mich!!! Thank you!

Ellysa Vaj

Happy Holidays Jared and Jordan. You’ve made my Christmas extra special. I hope you had time to spend with families and loved ones. Thank you for going above and beyond for us. It’s the perfect Christmas 🎁

Danka Sakovic

Honestly, I think all of the Armys here would agree that you guys should get some rest, we will be here waiting for your next content whenever you release it. Your health is a priority. Wish you guys, your family and all the Armys marry Christmas and happy holidays. Stay awesome and kind and keep your open minds. 💜 BORAHAE! 💜

PamTan

Snow Flower by V would have been a better fit for a Christmas serenade, that song is beautiful

Kathy⁷

I hope you've had a merry Christmas guys! A very cute Army moment happened to me yesterday. I've come to stay with my parents to celebrate Christmas. My dad told me a while ago that he was working with an Army. Apparently she has photocards on her desk and my dad recognised them. I brought home a little package of BTS things for my dad to pass to her for Christmas, and found that she did the same thing for me! Neither of us knew that the other was going to do this and we've never even met. I didn't even know her name. She even asked my dad who my bias was so most of the items are Jimin related. Army's are the best! I loved this chill, relaxed video. I know you love to take a deep dive into every song, but this was perfect for christmas. However, there is something in the lyrics for Christmas Love that I think you'll find interesting. Jimin sings a word that was talked about everywhere online, because there is no direct translation to English. The word is "소복소복" (sobok sobok). From what I've seen, it seems to mean "falling falling" but specifically describing the sound of snow softly falling. (If any Korean speaking Army's see this, please correct me if I'm wrong) Remembering this just made me excited to get into our Korean lessons in the new year! Hopefully, by next christmas, we'll be able to really understand "sobok sobok." I hope you're both feeling better. You still don't sound well. I know you often record late at night, but please make sure you are resting and taking care of yourselves. We will understand if you need to take a break. Your well-being comes first. Borahae!

Isa__

This might be (very) out of topic. But the year is coming to an end and I wanted to appreciate the hard work you have done to make so many BTS reaction videos that we ARMY love. So a SOPE (J-hope & Suga) song came to my mind. Otsukare is a song by J-hope and Suga, yes they are both singing in it. It is a very fun song and comedic performance that is weird in the best way possible. There is also a saying that Suga will do anything that J-hope suggests, and you will see that this song is completely out of Sugas comfort zone, but he still does it. Anyway, the song itself is about thanking someone for their hard work. So check it out to lift up your day and at the same time I wanted to thank you for your hard work! The performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GPNJ_h-6NI Bangtan bomb (with subs) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePB0G7BPktQ

Loved this! Marry christmas to both of you! 🎄🎁 Can‘t wait to catch up with all your RM reactions 🙂 Greetings from Europe!

Kimberly W.

Merry Christmas to you guys & your family!! I love the Christmas medley so much! I don’t even know how many times I watch it around Christmas every year. It is so beautiful & fun & puts me in the holiday spirit. I also love Jungkook’s Oh Holy Night! It is my personal favorite Christmas song & JK’s version is just so beautiful!

Sunny Young

thank you, this was so sweet.

Alicia

Happy holidays! Borahae! Love this special performance, I watch it every Christmas since I became an army! 💜💜💜💜

RhadAnne

Merry Christmas!!! By the way, Jordan, just like you said, I do play JKs cover of Oh holy night on repeat even on ordinary days when I feel I need something to lift me up. Also JKs cover of Falling (Justin B) is the other one. Jks cover of this song just takes me to another dimension, somewhere peaceful, serene, and heavenly that instantly makes me feel light at heart. I actually played this cover once when I was at the beach looking at the blue sky and wow, I had goosebumps! I hope you can also get to react to this one day.

Ula W.

Oh this one's a riot. I also like the one where OT7 is singing it. Is that a different vid?

Merry Christmas!🎄 This was great, enjoyed seeing these again and watching your reactions. There is plenty for next year too! In addition to the others mentioned there is a Bangtan Bomb “Run” https://youtu.be/sjwrE0I-cXM, a Run BTS episode called Christmas Party https://youtu.be/pWjf-USXMvo, and a Butter holiday remix dance practice https://youtu.be/S50SYJbyXY4. This is from SBS Gayo Daejeon 2020 - https://youtu.be/TgGci8TvsTc and this is the behind the scenes https://youtu.be/NaCF3Ip0X0Y BTS episode.

Ashleyder

Oh, I hope you listen to Snow Flower at some point. That is my absolute favorite Christmas song by V.

Ashleyder

I don't know if anyone else has already commented this, but an interesting fact about Jimin's Christmas Love ... he uses a word in it "소복소복" pronounced "soboksobok" that is technically not really translatable. They say "softly, gently" in the lyric video, but that's not really an accurate translation because it is a uniquely Korean mimetic word that describes the action of large snowflakes piling on the ground in a very gentle way and making a beautiful, soft snow bed.

Annmarie

Wow I was so shocked to see my comment!! Yesss Christmas Tree really shows off Tae’s vocal range it’s one of my favorite songs by him & Christmas Love is such a happy vibe ! Thank you Jared and Jordan for reacting to these songs, glad you enjoyed!! 💜 also my bad for typo lol

Kirssy Mago

"Our beloved summer" one if my fave k-dramas and "Christmas Tree" one of my fav V's song.

IfraH

Well technically Sweet night and Winter bear aren't really Christmas/winter songs. Sweet night was released as the ost of a drama and it has nothing to do with Christmas or winter necessarily. And Winter bear, unlike what the title suggests, was actually released in August and it's about his grandma.

IfraH

Christmas tree is the ost of a drama and as you might have realised by now, isn't really a Christmas song because to be honest only the title has somethings to do with Christmas. It's rather a love song

Vanessa Marques

I watched the k-drama Our Beloved Summer just because I was curious about the song Christmas tree and I enjoy it so much.

leat
>>98712338

i also love the one from "my love from the stars, you are my destiny" and the one from the goblin "Round and Round" and also the other OST from same serie. Koreans are really good at making heartfelt ballads. both of those dramas are SO good i have watched almost all of them. i also love the songs from scarlet heart "My love" i cry everytime i hear it.

Aparna

Tae was talking about that scene from Mean girls (where the main cast are performing jingle bell rock at their school talent show).
