The lyrics! This I want to see! Mumble mouth here we come 😂😂😉🫶🏻💜🇨🇦

Aylaᴿᵖʷᵖ

I definitely wanna see the Behind The Bars Jordan thank you please! J-hope and Suga’s thanks!

avery_aja⁷

i actually dont believe you've heard we are bulletproof pt.1 you've heard part 2 where jhope, jimin, and jk had their dance break but bulletproof pt.1 id pre-debut stuff

Aylaᴿᵖʷᵖ

Been writing some extra comments but they’ve disappeared… I think he used James Brown’s man’s man’s man’s world because the line he sampled was “man made … man made the cars” and the song goes on to talk about how men made all the technology but it wouldn’t be “nothing without a woman or a girl” and B Real insulted RM and SUGA by calling them no longer rappers but girls for being idols and wearing makeup. Suga has I think chosen this sample for that reason and has since been quoted in interviews talking about how he disagrees with gender norms and stereotypes and that he’s not interested in conforming to strict rules like that. He was wearing a kilt in their debut and wears skirts in various photoshoots, check out the Louis Vuitton for GQ Korea shoot as an example. Also he released a lot of single stand alone tracks on SoundCloud there’s no mixtape they’re from, you can just trawl through the BTS SoundCloud and listen to them all!

Sascha

Jared, you were all of us reacting to Jordan's rap 😂 And we definitely want to see a BEHIND THE BARS if that's how you're gonna call it 😱🔥

Suga(r)kookie

You didn't listen to Bulletproof pt.1

Raevan21

I think there a few surprises left in store for you. :)

Cheryl ⁷ Lambert

Jared and Jordan, HOW CAN YOU FORGET SUGAS’ VERSE IN CYPHER 3! There’s your “Hong Kong” reference that you stumbled and mumbled your way through 🤣🤣🤣🤣! You really should watch your own reactions, they’re quite good 👍. Augst D took a blowtorch to smooth, soulful James Brown and set it a flame 🔥 while calling out his haters. This is almost 5 years ago. I can’t even imagine what you’ll experience at his concert but I’m so happy you’re going and interested in how the experience compares to Rolling Loud. Lucky ticket winners 🤌🏻. Definitely want a “behind the bars” look see. That would be fascinating to see your process Jordan. Loved this!! 🫶🏻💜💜🥰🥰🇨🇦

Cheryl ⁷ Lambert

That sounds like a great explanation. Love, love James Brown 🙏💜

Butterful

I'll be here for the day you guys react to "1 Verse" by J-hope too🤣i think you haven't seen the rappers go crazy like Agust D just yet

April Forgue

The STD was just him spelling out his name. I do not think any sexual transmitted disease was intended. I don't think he knew much English at all back then so it was just a coincidence.

Adi

The other song that you heard "tongue technology" in was CYPHER 3 😬💜 it's my favorite cypher 🫠🫠🫠

Deborah Dungy

This sample probably is not cleared. If you look into the mixtape on the major platforms, you will notice that AugsDt the song is not available on there.

Lisa Carlsson

I am so excited for this contest! And thank you both for finally reacting to this song! This is hands down my favorite Agust D song <3 You have alot of surprises left and you won't be dissapointed. I would love to see a "Behind the bars", very curious to see the thought process behind these bars! Borahae!

leat

i believe the lyrics you have heard before is from UGH because Suga said something like the haters burn themself in the process.

leat

btw can you please tell us if you got the tickets from Ticketmaster Premium after they raised the prize because a normal floor tickets was around 5-600 dollars. and was it difficult to get tickets or did you slide right in? it happens sometimes

-Mac-

Just a quick note on the A to the G to the U to the STD Because it's never commented upon, like the "Hong Kong" or "As you know, my voice will turn you on. Whether its a GUY or GIRL my tongue will make you COME." [Cypher 3: Killer] I really think the STD portion is an us [as in western ears] problem, not an intentional comment about STDs; it's just really about meeting the beat in my humble opinion. English is his second [possibly third since they all knew a little Japanese back then, iIrc] language, he may not have, at the time, understood what predominantly English-speaking audiences would hear and infer when he put the last letters of his alias together in that fashion.

Precious

We definitely need a Behind the Bars Jordan!!!!🔥

Jess Horton

Just thoughts on this. No answers. James Brown. Of his era I think he was one of the most confident performers in his delivery (JB gave his all). Nothing was under done. Agust D raps that way, he owned it just like JB owned his performances and musicianship. The part you heard in Agust D sample was "man made, man made the cars" repeated. Genius. "A thorn in the side" (this may not mean the same) but this has a Biblical meaning, can't remember which person was sick with a thorn in his side. Might not connect here though. Jordan I can barely remember why I walked to the next room. How you memorized and mastered the lyrics super impressive. Behind the bars! Jared quit playin', your ear is fine

Stephannie

"Mad me. Make me record" that's what I always heard at the start of Agust D. Also, awesome reactions guys, looking forward for more :)

Amani ○°●•7

Cypher 3 is the song you are looking for ... for both those repeated similar lyrics.. "Man made man made the car.." James brown Yes to behind the Bars ... 🌌🎵🖤

RachyOT7

A to the G to the U to the STD A-G-U-STD Literally spelling his name AGUST D so that no one forgets his name especially the hip hop hyungs who were horrible to them when they became BTS. This was introducing the world to Agust D. ——— Why this James Brown song? At first James Brown is singing about how it’s a man’s world and he makes cars but then realizes HE NEEDS MORE IN HIS LIFE than just achievement. For James Brown, he needs a woman to be his reason. Yoongi has saying about this, what is all of this for- he has it all but still he needs ??? During the period of this mixtape he said, anger was his driving force. (Joonie has said the same about BTS, anger was their motivation). ———— NEW ARMYS (not Jordan and Jared): note that Yoongi is wearing the famous GARTER JEANS!!! You’ll go on to see most of the others wear these over the years. And the fit is immaculate on each every time. I could do a whole video.

Okay after hearing you both describing the 3 rappers, here's something I saw and loved. I will copy it here. Mind you, I did not write this myself but this here is right on point "A brief style breakdown of the 3 BTS rappers: J-hope is "retro old school meets new age" He's a dancer at his core so his music puts alot of focus on unique beats and cadence Suga (alter ego Agust D) is "classical and introspective". He's a producer at heart so he will give you the 360 auditory experience RM is "rhythm and poetry". He says he's a poet first before he's a rapper. Musically he's most adventurous these days bending genre and sounds." (Posted by Bonusdoc) TLDR version: Suga will tell you you are sh*t, RM will explain why you are sh*t, J-hope will tell you it's okay to be sh*t

Kia

OH IM DEFINITELY HERE FOR A BEHIND THE BARS

korgi

as for the "std" lyric. i don't think he meant anything bout std's. i don't even think that's a thing in south Korea so he probably doesn't know what it means or what it meant at the time bc that's more of an American term i'd say but don't take myword for that because i honestly don't know. still i don't think the "std" part had a double meaning, i think he was just spelling his name

haley!

I haven't finished the reaction yet but I just had to chime in and leave a comment regarding j-hope's rap style. You guys say he'll kill you with kindness. That's definitely a fact but you guys haven't heard 1verse yet. I'll leave it at that.

Ellysa Vaj

As always, exceeded expectations 💜

PamTan

Sadly this song is not available on paid platforms such as Spotify, so maybe they still can’t clear the song?? The song is only available on Soundcloud

v_endd

not the TLDR version i am dead😭😭😂😂😂😂

Liz Torres

Okay you may have to explain as I am.still.new. what's the TLDR. Lol

LizP⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷

Thanks guys for sacrificing your sleep to give us these awesome reactions!! I knew this was gonna give you guys whiplash trying to keep up with his flow 🤣 Another gem which I can't wait for you guys to get to is RM's Do You. Jordan, ⚠️ that bass drop is 💥 💥 💥 💥 I also think it's awesome for the give away, yall are wonderful and whoever wins this is one lucky Army!! You not only get to see Yoongi but also hang out with the best reactors ever!! 💜💜

Anja

TONGUE TECHNOLOGY! What more to say. Suga uses this terms in the Cyphers. And: YES, please do a behind the scenes of Jordans 🔥🔥🔥 bars! That would be fun to watch.

ririッ

I saw this yt comment somewhere on twitter and they're not lying though. ON POINT lols ***** A brief style breakdown of the 3 BTS rappers: - j-hope is "retro old school meets new age". He's a dancer at his core so his music puts a lot of focus on unique beats and cadence - Suga (alter ego Agust D) is "classical and introspective". He's a producer at heart so he will give you the 360 auditory experience - RM is "rhythm and poetry". He says he's a poet first before he's a rapper. Musically he's most adventurous these days bending genre and sounds. TLDR version: Suga will tell you you are sh*t, RM will explain why you are sh*t, j-hope will tell you it's okay to be sh*t 😂

Magdalena

Guys, if you like the "I'm sorry" part then you need to check RM's P.D.D. 😉

Freek Stap

I hope you react to his whole mixtape very soon. So Far Away (the Jin & JK version) is in my top 3 BTS songs. I never related to a part of a song like this one did. I'm even considering getting a tattoo of a lyric from that song and I never wanted a tattoo😂

Liz Torres

I posted the same comment. Lol. I saw that as well.

_itsstephany_

BTS's Soundcloud library is insane, from the mixtapes, to singles and more. You need to listen to some of their old songs off there, including the ones they've rerecorded like born singer. You really get to see their growth and how far they've come, including some hidden gems (1Verse by J-Hope, P.D.D by R.M. x Warren G, So Far Away (SUGA, Jin & Jung Kook Ver.)). It's my favourite hidden treasure of good songs, especially since some songs may never get to be on streaming platforms :)

Madpleasure

It would be awesome for ya'll to go through RM's first mixtape, along with Suga & JHope.

DanielleM

Maybe they’ll release it as a single or something when his new album drops, like they’ve done with the other members.

Harfey

omg I always thought it was "lend me the car" too but its "man made the car"! Holy crap

Tiana

It's too good 😭🤧💜

tori

muish ramblings is a korean army with a website very similar to doolsetbangtan theyre very useful websites if you ever wanna look up songs doolset doesnt have or look into either another perspective or deeper explanation muish is a great site. i especially recommend them for BTS song Am I Wrong explanation they break it down a lot more than doolset.
