I LOVE the song and the Visuals of the music video, as I Know ARMY will. I am so Proud of Jimin🐥and how far he's come. Transforming Into the best version of himself.💜💜💜 Just an observation. Whatever the intention and meaning of the song, Everyone will have their own takeaway of what this song means. That said, I can predict this song will mean a lot to the lgbt 🌈community. The lyrics are of empowerment and transformation which I am Sure will resonate. Again, I am Not implying anything about Jimin, or any of the OT7. So many ARMY ship all the members(to the extent of being harmful) or try to allude to their sexuality. I FEEL his personal life is his and we should all respect him for him and the members needing their Privacy. We should All Love Jimin for who he is and will continue to grow to be. In Hobie's words, F'in' cool ! for two many reasons to list, I love it and I'm SO excited to see what else is on FACE. PDOGG stated Park Jimin is going to blow people's minds. In my case he was right! Jimin has said, he was holding himself back and set himself free. The poem was stamped on a thin, see through mesh. Kind of like panty hose material, but thinner. Whoever did the blend from shirt to neck should take a bow. That is perfect as far as I can tell.

I am German as well and am always really proud when BTS refer to anything German like this poem. They actually do that often. Blood, Sweat and Tears and the Storyline was inspired and features elements of Demian by Hermann Hesse who was a German.Swiss writer and Magic Shop and Map of the Soul were inspired by the works of Carl Jung, A Swiss Psychiartist (While it's not germany, switzerland also in big parts speaks german :)). If you really wanna learn German, be prepared for a lot of weird grammar and long words. In German you can basically add on words to make a bigger word without any limit. One of my favorites is Eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher. xD Today they released the dance practice for Set me free pt. 2 and while we saw the chore on the MV too it feels really different. It's absolutely insane!

The magazine "Consequence" is legitimate and they've interviewed Jimin and the members before. Each section of the article you read is Jimin speaking. This was Jimin's project and his ideas was expressed clearly and intentionally. He knew what he wanted and what he wanted to express. If any of the songs on "FACE" disturb us or cause us to question if he's ok, as he tells his story, in the last song "Set Me Free" clearly Jimin is assuring us he's free now, he's fine. He's moved past that place or state. Just as each one of us experiences growth physically, and growth in maturity, we also can grow from experiencing adversity and triumph. As he says in the song, "this is his prime time." Jimin has also released the dance practice for "Set Me Free" go to their official website on Youtube to view it.

Thanks for another great reaction. I can't wait for the rest of Jimin's content. We will soon get the rest of this album and all it entails, the Fallon performances, and I am sure we will get lots of "behind the scenes" content as well. I hope they will show Jimin being in the states with the choir recording. The ON documentary showed much of that in the way of pre-production recordings. The dance practice for SMFPt2 already dropped this morning. Oh it's good to be ARMY..we are spoiled with content.

If you want ARMY translations when Doolset isn't available yet, I suggest trying https://www.bangtansubs.com/lyrics They don't put the reference notes but they're usually more accurate than Genius imo because ARMY has a personal stake in making sure the members' words are correct. I do agree Doolset is more digestible with the notes she attaches, but Bangtan Subs translates videos and interviews and stuff so they tend to be more busy. They have been translating BTS content like Bangtan Bombs since before Big Hit started putting English subtitles on that content and the struggle was real for us International ARMY back then so I try to still give them support. (They do attach any BTS member blog entries introducing their releases, however, to their lyrics translations on that website). Just a suggestion. Genius is much better than it used to be for sure and your research is always appreciated regardless. ✌🏻💜

this is just the pre-release 🫠 i can’t imagine what else he’s got up his sleeve. this song surprised me in the best ways and it’s an excellent example of a song that intrigues and gets people pumped for the album!! he tried so many new things - another example of BTS pushing the boundaries, not just for themselves for music as a whole.. It’s experimental, and I also got Kanye vibes! The production is insane. Pdogg was right. Jimin came to end kpop haha

something i just wanna point out that i think is amazing is that the look and feel of the mv is him fighting for his freedom and the end with him in white is him actually set free. jimin being set free into gentleness and light instead of revenge and anger like a lot of people would. this wasn’t a snapping point “i’m gonna go insane and drag everyone and everything down with me” freedom. this was a “i no longer care what you say and think of me and i’m at peace now” freedom. and i just think that’s absolutely beautiful.

I love this song so much! There are so many layers also which I love! It references past BTS music and also what we know of Jimin and so authentic! There are obvious references to On which many have already spoken about but I also see Lie (especially in the choreography when they lift him up - it’s the same. Plus he is trying to be free of the lie and the song ends with him being still caught in a lie). I also see nods to Suga’s “Interlude:Shadow” especially with the dancers/choreography. It’s like they represent the feeling that everyone wants a piece of them - the feeling of being devoured. The choreography made me think of that. Also “Lie” - Jimin has spoken of his perfectionism and of overthinking things. He’s shared that running helps him stop thinking and clear his mind. I wonder if he also wants to be free of his own overthinking? Free from overthinking and perfectionism - not worrying what others will think (I’ll keep going even if they mock me) or worrying about people pointing their fingers at you (the opposition and them hurting him with their words). Also, there were a lot of awesome tweets about the Golden Ratio (the formation that looks like a spiral) which is known as the “god of art” like a mild everyone needs to fit into to be great. He goes into the mold (and we all know that’s part of Jimins story) but he breaks free of it. He doesn’t have to be anyone’s idea of perfect but is free to be himself. Unfortunately Kanye is deep in the throes of his mental illness (he has Bipolar Disorder) and that’s been exploited to a certain extent for political purposes. In saying that, he refuses treatment and medication as he feels it stifles his artistic abilities, so he does have to own his horrific and unacceptable behaviour. He’s made that choice. He’s lost his marriage, family and lucrative business deals because of this. I feel for his children. The whole situation is very sad. I think Jared and Jordan are making strictly artistic comparisons. 💜🫶🏻🇨🇦

I am diagnosed with that same mental illness & I’m not disparaging him for those. And I feel he has been manipulated to an extent by the people he chooses to surround himself with. He’s a grown ass man though & he’s not a stupid one. I also believe everyone deserves forgiveness & chances to better themselves. Hello Jared and Jordan ! Hello Army ! When I saw you were reacting to 'Set Me Free Pt.2' I knew I would have to write you my two cents on this song because I gathered so much. The lyrics hold so much meaning and the symbolism in the visuals is crazy. I spent all night last night on the phone with two friends explaining my theories so this one is about to be veryyy long. Maybe too long, I wouldn't be surprised if no one got to the end but I really wanted to share my thoughts and if anyone reads the whole thing I'd love to here your thoughts as well. Before starting tho I want to say that these are my personal interpretations and anyone is free to agree or disagree with me. Now that this is said, let's start. Each new release confirms a little more my initial theory that BTS's Chapter 2 is going to be about them showing us who they have become after all these years in BTS. Both Hobi and Namjoon's albums went in that direction and I feel like Jimin's his headed the same way, especially after hearing 'Set Me Free Pt.2". For me the lines "set me free" and "finally free" reference a decision to stop letting other people's vision and opinion of him get to him. Jimin is someone who has let people's words get to him a lot in the past. He received a lot of hate and struggled a lot, especially with body image. But for me, this song is his way of saying that he will not let that happen again. He is finally free from the haters' hold on him and from the pressure he would put on himself because of it. Now with that in mind let's get to some of the lyrics and symbolism I've gathered from the MV. I separate it in two part, the first part being the beginning and the second part starting when he changes outfit and appears with the German poem. In my mind the first part serves as kind of an introduction, he is essentially telling us something in him changed and that he freed himself but we only fully understand what he meant by that in the second part. My friend pointed out yesterday that the beginning (when the dancers are all crowded together) feels like a representation of Greek's Underworld (more specifically the part of it that would be the equivalent of Christian Hell) and that it looks like people carrying the weight of their sins and/or pain which I thought was really fitted with Jimin's past and the message I gathered from this song. Now the first line that got me thinking this song was him freeing himself from haters is the fact that the first time he says "finally free" he says it following the line "F*ck all you obbs" referring to his haters. Then he goes on saying "I'm standing on the edge" followed by "Not yet, not yet" which got me thinking of multiple things. I took it as him being on the edge of a cliff but not being ready to take the jump yet. That jump could be multiple things. My first thought was his solo debut. He said back in July during Lollapalooza that he was not ready and could never do what Hobi did (which btw is why I was so surprised to see Jimin was next with his solo). But he clearly changed his mind and is finally ready to take the jump and go solo (finally free from his own fear). My second thought was military service but nothing in the song actually backs that idea up so it might just be me going too far with the analysis. My third thought was showing us who he has become. I feel like up until now he was not yet ready to show us this part of himself but he finally is. (he is setting his new self free, letting him out for the world to see) Then he says the line "fly away butterfly" which has (if you agree with my theories) two possible meanings. The butterfly is flying away because it's finally free, it's an image for Jimin's newfound freeness (is that even a word??). But I feel like Jimin could have used many other animals to illustrate that thought and the fact that he picked a butterfly makes me think it was intentional. As we all know butterflies go from caterpillar to butterfly which makes them great for a metaphor for change. Which I think is the second meaning behind this line. Jimin has experienced great change and finally turned into the butterfly he was meant to become and is using this song (and probably the rest of the album) to show us who that butterfly is. Then he goes on and a little further the line "I won't hide anymore even if it hurts" caught my attention. If we keep the same idea as before in mind, I think that he is referring once again to his past and his tendency to let people's hate get to him. It also made me think of Festa 2021, when asked "what you're embarrassed about" Jimin said "my personality", which broke my heart but I have the feeling that this is finally over and that he is does not think that was anymore. He's not going to hide himself or be ashamed of himself anymore, he's going to be himself no matter what and haters can think or say whatever they want they won't get to him anymore. Then he says "Raise your hands for the past me, now set me free" which I take as him acknowledging past Jimin, the Jimin we all know and love, saying that despite everything he still loves him and cheers for him but that he is freeing himself from the chains that past Jimin probably put him into (setting himself free from the pressure he used to put on himself, his fears and burdens) Then comes the change in outfit but also change in sound and the lyrics become more explicit in the fact that they are directed at the haters. Maybe this change is also symbolism for the internal change in Jimin ? The Jimin from this second part of the MV is the new Jimin, fully changed ?? He starts this part saying "still in a maze". He mentionned the "maze" at the very beginning of the song saying "I wandered in a maze". I took this beginning part as a reference to his past, maybe his time as a trainee and in BTS. We could think that this song is him out of the maze but since he clearly says "still in a maze" I took it as a metaphor for life. We're all kind of in a maze during our entire life. Sometimes we have more answers than questions and sometimes it's the other way around but we're always kind of wandering around trying to get by and do our best to walk through the maze that is life. But we never really escape it since we never have all the answers. So, I think Jimin is saying that, yes, life is a maze and he will never get all the answers but it doesn't matter. He's done looking for the answers he just wants to live his life to the best. He's "got no time to break soul". Which is a line that also caught my attention. I saw it in two ways as well. One being this idea that he doesn't want to worry about the things he can't control anymore (including people's opinion of him). The other being a slight clap back at the haters. Telling them that he's not like them he won't try to break people's soul, he just doesn't have time for that. And we all know Jimin is too good a person to let himself be hateful. This part also ties in really well with the German poem and I think it also ties in with the choreography since, in the beginning, the dancers form a spiral that made me think of the circles in the poem but also of a little maze. The following lines also confirm my theory since he says: "Hey, fool just get out off my way shut up, f*ck off I'm on my way" Which are the more direct/explicit lines I was talking about earlier. Then he goes back to the chorus (or pre-chorus) saying "it's begun, my prime time" and "I'll gladly hop on" which are in symmetry with the lines at the beginning about being on the edge. This also kind of confirms my theory regarding the lines at the beginning, especially the idea of him being finally ready to jump and go solo. ("prime time" could also be a shout-out to BTS since they're currently at the top) Then he says "I won't stop even if they mock me" which is the line that confirmed everything for me when I first listened to the song. He is indeed talking to the haters. Finally a little bit of symbolism in the MV. The part that you pointed out (I think it was Jordan) when the dancers try to grab him, right before they lift him. For me, during that part of the choreography, the dancers represent the haters trying to get to him but they can't anymore as he is flying above them (literally). His last white outfit also made me think, but maybe that's just me trying to see things where there's nothing to be seen. It could just be because he has two concepts for his album (as he said in the article you read) one black and one white. But because his tattoo is showing (the one of the moon) and it's a tattoo that he got after seeing a fan edit of himself with this tattoo, I thought maybe Jimin in white was past Jimin, aka the Jimin that army knows (hence the tattoo which is related to army). Also white is the color of innocence and youth and past Jimin was younger and more innocent. So, it could be his way of saying past Jimin is still here and part of the new Jimin. But I really don't know this last part is kind of too far-fetched in my opinion. But if anyone reads this far I'd love to hear your opinions. The poem is symbolic of 2 natural occurrences in nature. The first is the ripple effect. When you drop a stone into water you see the rippling of the water as it reacts to the initial disturbance. Being born is your first ripple into the world. Each and every action you take can be seen as another ring. You can be focused on the immediate and not see your whole life as you are stuck on one ring and not realising that you can look forward and create a new ripple through change. The second is the rings of a tree. A tree gains a new ring with each year. The rings are the symbol of aging, growth and maturity. They are the markers of time and express the experiences of the life of the tree.

Johanna! First of all: WOW! This 'mini-essay' was amazing. Very analytic and on point. 💜 There are so many aspects I agree with you. The agressiv tone towards the haters. Everyone was surprised, bc we never heard Jimin cursing. That's not his cup of tea, that made the lyrics in this song so intense to me. It's so magnificent, I cried because it is at once painful and beautiful.It reminded me of Black Swan (I cried the first time I saw the PTD intro to that song too), Lie, On, and Interlude:Shadow. I haven’t read all the comments. I will. But someone on YouTube said YouTube is taking off some of the play counts. I saw this explained in depth but the short of it is that they can’t count constant replays. Watch it. Watch some other video come back and watch again. And repeat it that way to have your play count. There’s a reason you shouldn’t keep hitting repeat if you want to help Jimin in his ratings. Here’s my stream of consciousness and I mostly have rhetorical questions…. Is Jimin freeing himself from the opps and are they haters or the negative feelings that have plagued him in the past? I think the widening circles in the poem and on the album are represented in the Fibonacci sequence spiral in the choreo… or has he reached the end of that particular path (Ch1)? The build of the music, choir and choreography raising him up, dropping him and he emerges metamorphosed (butterfly reference) and we are left with Jimin in his present state. This is such an epic piece that I must agree with Pdogg and everyone else - whatever you think of K-pop should be forever changed from this moment on. 💜

To me I see this whole thing as Jimin freeing himself from himself, I mean the album is called FACE and the description of it is him finally facing himself. If you think about his past and the things he's gone through it always felt like his biggest enemy was the voices in his head, the false stories he was telling himself. And I think throughout this album he will be facing the pain and struggles and then as Set Me Free Pt.2 is the last song on the album perhaps it is him acknowledging that those struggles made him stronger and now he is strong enough to free himself from it and he no longer needs to fight, he can just be his freest self.

Please don’t just hit replay. You need a few other videos then go back and play it again. That’s to make sure your plays are counted for Jimin. YouTube has been watching for that and deleting plays that are repeat plays from one person. If you space your plays it helps in Jimin’s play count. I don’t know opps or murked means?

This is my opinion and take on a certain lyric that stuck out to me, so dont eat me in the comments ok? The line he says "Raise your hands for the past me. Now set me free". Jimin has held himself to a super high standard. The crazy diets after being "fat" * he was young and adorable. he was not fat* the "crooked" smile, his perfectionism, his voice, his height, his hands, I could go on. Things that antis have said or have been joked about by others. An image hes had to maintain. I think with age, and the time of "reflection" that covid caused, brought about change for Jimin in a good way. It will be shocking for us since it wont be something we have really had for the past 10 yrs, but I think it will be cathartic for him. I know that I dont hold him to a certain standard. As long as hes happy, Im happy. I wonder if he knows that majority of us feel that way? I hope he can finally be comfortable in his own skin kind of thing, you know?

Every so often a member of BTS or the entire group has a performance that collectively shuts down our brain and we have to reboot. I’ll never completely forget hearing/seeing Daechitwa, that flow change is epic. So many of us were stunned by JK then Jimin’s solo performances. Even more because the day 2 version reinforced those feelings of being overwhelmed. This song did it again, no one was ready for this! 😳 Your reactions were 🤣 I mean he is so good it just doesn’t makes sense. I think it combines some of the best elements of Lie, Black Swan and ON - vocally & visually into a uniquely Jimin aesthetic. 🙌🏽👏🏼 Definitely check out the dance practice, Jimin eats up this choreography. There are live performances here with Jimmy and in SK on a music show, not to mention he is going to attack us with even more new music content. and this WASN'T EVEN THE MAIN TRACK!!!!!!!!! Honestly Jimin outdid himself. I didn't really know what to expect from him and I don't really like expectations anyways because this is a whole new chapter and I just want to respect whatever each member wants to do. But this song!!!!!!! It's everything i ever wanted and more. It's 'Lie' meets 'Fake Love' meets 'Black Swan' meets 'ON'. I'm OBSESSED with the beat, how dark, grand and cinematic it sounds. I'm not sure if cinematic is the right word but it's how i feel anyway. You have vocals for days, very different artistic choices that we're not used to from jimin (which in my opinion is a great thing because it shows how versatile he is and also that he's improving and getting better each time), the sound is very experimental. The visuals of the music videos are stunning even tho they're very simple. You also have phenomenal choreography (and watching the dance practice i can tell he even got better at dancing which i didn't think was possible). 보라해 from Germany! 💜💜💜 when I realized that the words on Jimins body were written in german, and I recognized it at first sight, I was so unbelievably proud. I immediately searched for the words an found Rainer Maria Rilkes poem. We learn about him at school, but it’s really long for me, as I’m 49 yo. It’s very special, that german art is recognized in international music. But it’s not the first time BTS did it. In the MV to Blood, Sweat and Tears you will also find a german quote on a wall. I run a german speaking BTS ARMY Facebook group and I can tell you we all were more than excited and proud that Jimin decided to use this poem. We german Armys are so happy right now. Now we are waiting patiently to be on a schedule for a concert in any type of way. It’s been 2018 since BTS‘s last concert in Berlin. Anyways we love them so much and support them forever. Jimin is the type of artist that can't be put in a box with one genre of music, from Promise to Set Me Free Pt2 there's nothing that sounds similar that we can say that's what Jimin sounds like, everything he does is unique, out of the box and captivating. I might run out of space for this TedTalk, might even take 18 minutes to read… This is the short version of my notes: Set Me Free Pt 2. MV This is an Anthem/Fight Song for anyone that has been wronged, enslaved, stifled. I’m talking history all the way back to civil rights, the holocaust, to get deep. Let’s not forget those that have been abused and in Jimin’s case misunderstood. All those definitions Jared & Jordan gave for the word ANTI. Look at what the dancers are wearing. That dull gray that many prisoners and outcasts had to wear. Not assuming that’s what Jimin was going for because he is telling his own story but that’s where my mind went. The choir opens what sounds like a spiritual song (old gospel). :00-:20: The floor, texture looks worn like its been washed many times with chemicals, cleansed, dense and cold. I went Really far and looked up footage of gas chambers from concentration camps, the colors there and the colors of the floor in the MV are very similar. That’s haunting. Dancers are close together like they are using each other to breathe. As media/museums depicts in situations of enslavement it was a confined space, many piled in one room or space. They are shielding their eyes, what don’t they want to see? Or are they shielding for protection? On the high scream the fingers uncurl from what I assume to be suppressed anger and grief. A vibration comes, from working with choreographers that is usually associated with pain or fear in this context (the strained vocal leads you in a tortured sound). What happens next is visually stunning. The cast performs what is called a “retrograde”. Each does a frantic crawl or escape and then reverses back to the shape they started. Still shielding but swaying in an attempt to soothe the failed escape. No way out. Jimin now becomes a pivotal character because he’s center and different. He is not crawling on the ground, leaning and clawing like the rest, he was standing bold and confident. At :25 dancers’ legs are moving heavily, something is pulling them down. Head is hanging to the side. The swinging of the arms looks like they have been working the field with no rest. The work has effected their posture. Chain gang. March! Stay in line! The opposition of Jimin’s tempo when walking through them, slow and unbothered. Is he the dictator of this group or does he disturb the routine by refusing to fall in line. “I move to my own rhythm.” Or is he looking back on his life and they are a representation of him? :38 Jimin is the focus again. He is either the leader or the outcast. The rest of the group has singled him out (he stands out front) as different so he joins on the hand gestures as if saying “I’m just like you.” The gestures are militant everyone is the same and there is no room for individuality personality. Lots of movement focused around the FACE. At :47 the lyric “I never stop..repeat” Jimin circles his right arm, mimics a clock (moving clockwise) meaning a lot of time passed in that “maze” but the progress was forward not backward. :56 in the maze/spiral/six as you have labeled it. Notice Jimin does not move with the same force as he travels through this maze. At first he is high stepping sideways. Thinking of how he joined the group last, sacrifices and how scary it might have been walking into possibly the unknown. Halfway around the maze he gains momentum. Fully committed he put in the work. In the last portion of the maze he slows down and slides his hands down his body. That maze was not always smooth and just when you gained momentum thick hedges appear that you must push through. But when you get to the other side you feel like you can fly. In the wings of Army. Whew! I’m exhausted and that was just the first minute. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk. I will shut up now. Jimin snapped on this one. Song of the year, Video of the year, Award winning choreography. We still have the rest of the album... I can't handle it! (side note, hopefully I was not offensive to anyone's ancestry or history by using any of the topics above incorrectly, it was the clearest way to write down my thoughts)

I thought of enslavement, solitary confinement."the maze" for sure the debut and his life when entering the group. Representation of life and how it has ups and downs, rough patches and detours. Have not gotten to the very end during the lift with my analysis yet. But its interesting you see them as the haters. I'll have to look at that part closely again.. who's side are they on? The maze is in a 6 or 9 or a yin yang, same meaning. Remember, Jimin said this song goes back to his feelings during the lock down. It starts out with ON military vibe, bleeding lines and all, and the woman that choreographed ON, also did most of this. I'm reading ( and kinda' seeing) it was multiple people worked on this. There is a modified nod to butterfly as Jimin is coming out of that maze, 9 formation, so perhaps it is a chrysalis, which also goes with the yin yang picture? This was choreographed so in future, he will be able to sing live while doing this with attention paid to when and where he uses deep core to achieve those movements. Changing his movements from strong /aggressive to softer, cleaner expressions. He showcases fighting to be free with everything in this magical performance from the steps and they way he choses to use them to his vocals, and clothes, to his facial expressions. Park Jimin is a dancer's dancer. Jimin owns every stage he is on, through he shares them well too, but in this, he showcases a man fighting to regain his freedom, and he sets himself free. This MV is going into dance history books, I have no doubt. Musically it is hypnotic. nothing over powers his fight for freedom, and nothing should. From the minor Key choir, to the horns, WOW! The use of heavy processing on his voice, flipping to his own beautiful voice with next to nothing but a little echo on it is a perfect and evocative call and response fitting the theme and the musical score. AMAZING! I keep remembering the day this was released, I read PDDOG stating somewhere for us to hang on and get ready to be blown away, just wait. I'm so excited for this album to drop I'm losing sleep, LOL.

As I said on the YT video, I'm still obsessed with this song/mv. Jimin has always had me with his dancing, not just because he's such a phenomenal dancer, but probably because I danced for many years when I was younger, so I'm very drawn to his dancing ability. But having spent the last year and a half consumed with learning anything and everything I can about BTS and all of the members, there has always been something about Jimin that just really resonates with me. I think some of it is his need for perfection, I struggle with that in certain ways and then I also fail at it in ways that I've probably given up on, but watching Jimin has reignited a desire not to just give up on things I cannot be perfect at. When he sings about raising a hand to his past me, that just really hit me hard. Jimin has been through so much criticism throughout these past 10 years and in my short time catching up with content, I've watched how it's changed him over the years, only I saw it in a much more short time frame, so I think it really stuck out to me. And I'm honestly so thrilled for him to have been able to have this past year to face some of that. While I do believe that the pandemic was what gave him the time and space to look at those things that may have haunted him, this past year allowed him to really face them head on with determination to put it in the past, learn from it, and hopefully as it seems finally really say "fuck all your opps" I couldn't be happier to see him say that. He is such a precious soul and he never deserved any of it. Honestly no one deserves that kind of hatred. But something else that really struck me from the song/MV that is a little more personal and who knows whether this was the intention of the decisions for his person experience, but everything is subjective to the listener too. So, many years ago, I was going through a rough time and I went to a self-awareness seminar and some of the things we had to do during this seminar were brought back to mind while watching this MV. So after a 4 day almost grueling all day different processes, the final day there was something I can't really describe but at the end you come up with a contract for yourself. Everyone's is different. But it is personally designed to be what you basically need to hear from yourself everyday. The premise is that you will say this contract looking in the mirror every day. When I was talking to someone about Set Me Free Pt 2, she said, she enjoyed the song, but thought the Set Me Free was a little too repetitive and it hit me like a ton of brinks and I told her about my experience in this seminar and that the repitition of reading our contracts was supposed to eventually make us believe what we were saying. I feel like that is what Jimin was trying to do, it's as if you say Set Me Free enough, then Jimin will eventually actually feel FREE!!!! It made me really wish that I'd stuck to reading my own contract all of those years ago, because I literally did it probably twice and said to myself, "who am I kidding, I will never believe this" and I stopped and guess what, I never believed it, but who knows, after listening to this song, I think perhaps I will start doing it again, because honestly my life my have been different if I'd stuck with it, maybe I would have begun to believe it and not have to start over again now. The second thing, was that at the end of the seminar we all had this very personal and fearful thing we had to do (again I can't really say what it was in detail) but after we did it, we were picked up like Jimin was in the video and carried around the room by the rest of the people in the seminar. I was very hesitant about letting them do that to me, but I will also say that it was a very liberating thing to feel like you are floating and add to that the trust you have for these people. But, for this MV and for Jimin I can only imagine given that he had to do that multiple times, I can and hope to imagine that each time he sung this song and had them lifting and carrying him, it really helped solidify the freedom he feels and I'm honestly sooooo happy for him. I'm sorry this was so long. But this song has really moved me and I can't stop thinking about it even after two months.
