How do we even begin to adequately express our sonic pleasure, appreciation and overall LOVE for this album?? Jimin's "Letter" was so raw and beautiful that we had to listen twice. 

Today's reaction video is somewhat of a continuation of a reaction video that we posted on our YouTube channel, where we watched the “LIKE CRAZY” MV for the very first time, along with Bookish Theories’ Explanation, AND Jimin’s LIVE PERFORMANCE on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon!! Sadly, I'm not really feeling most of the album.. :( just my personal taste/opinion! Set Me Free Pt. 2 is probably the only song that blew me away. But I'm definitely keeping an open mind and allowing the songs to grow on me, if they do! And most importantly, it doesn't stop me from being immensely proud of our jiminie!! He worked so hard and bared his soul for his first debut, and all the success that comes from it will be beyond deserved

The first time I heard Like Crazy I was a little iffy about it, but it solidly grew on me (the choreo really elevated it for me too). This entire album kinda just became a headspace for me. But again, thats me, and we all have our own way of appreciating music and thats what makes art so amazing. It's all subjective. 💜

I absolutely love pop synth music from the 80s so Like Crazy is probably my favorite track on the album. Obsessed with everything from the lyrics, the meaning, the MV. I'm definitely going to have to watch the movie now as I've never heard of it!

As far as I know we had like 5 spins for Like Crazy on american radio so far. Lets go for 6!!!! This album ois actually insane. In general BTS tends to put physical only tracks on their albumy. it's not to tease anyone, but about understanding. They don't want some tracks on spotify or other streaming services because they feel like only true army would understand and appreciate those tracks and those army's would get the physical albums too (of course with the exception of armys who can't afford the albums, they are still valid.). They had Path and Sea and a whole 3rd disk for Proof with demo versions that they didn't feel comfortable with sharing with just everybody, and now Letter on Jimin's album... These are for us because they feel like they can confide in us on their own terms. It's beautiful, really. PS: This reaction showed me that i'm not ready to listen to Letter without crying....

Ahh, I’m so sad it wasn’t pointed out to you guys that JK sings the backup vocals in Letter! That makes the song all the more special to me. Their voices blend so well together! I hope you take a moment to listen again knowing that JK is there and see if you can spot his vocals 💜 I absolutely loved this album and am so proud of Jimin. I feel honored that he took us along on his journey of self discovery. And I agree - there is no reason why Like Crazy shouldn’t be playing on American radio stations! The sound is so trendy and having an English version eliminates the language barrier excuse. I’m excited to see and hear Jimin’s future work - both as an individual artist and with the group.

Little behind the scene, the night before the release of Face, Jungkook did a live at 4am where he cooked, ate and played guitar. He looked so happy to show us new skills he got after one guitar lesson. Little did we know the melody he played at that moment would be heard on the hidden track of face. He litteraly spoiled us just before the release. (By the way, he also did some harmonies on the track)

the fact that both versions of like crazy sounds the same is really a testement that music dont have to be in English for you to enjoy it. you didn´t notice it i didn´t either so i bet no one else will but still radios wont play it. sportify and youtube is playing tricks and are holding bts and the members back. youtube removed streams same did sportify. and yesterday hanteo chart (korean chart) froze in the middle of Jimins sales periode but you could still see the numbers go up to 1.7 milion copies sold but then they made they updated the chart and jimin only had 1,1 milion sales but those issues only happens when a BTS member put something out.

Thank you for your Listening party! I always enjoy you speaking about and hearing music with your whole body. I really love the whole album from top to bottom. He put his inner self/his feelings and emotions from the last 2-3 years in this album. He can and should be really proud of himself. I love LIKE CRAZY & SET ME FREE PART.2 the most. I am a kid of the 80/90's so Synthiepop was my childhood music. Set me Free is simply bombastic and blows me away everytime i hear this song. "Letter" gets me emotional bc maybe this is his goobye song for us or simply a thank you to us or maybe BTS for being with him and going through thick and thin with him.

I love it, especially Face Off and Letter. Letter reminds me of Sea by BTS. Both are hidden tracks and very special stripped down songs. Love Jimin’s voice over the instrumentals in Letter and JK‘s sprinkle of ad-libs (he is credited for background vocals and you can hear him when you focus on the ad-libs at the end of the song). Jimin is also credited for playing guitar together with Young! Love it when they play instruments.

I have said many times these days that I will not be able to choose a favorite song. The whole album will be loved. I was moved to tears by the Letter. god there's so much i could share about this album, especially like crazy, but I'll wait until you do your deep dive. however, i just have to say this. letter is such an amazing song. i cried when i first listened to it and have cried every time since then. i can feel the love radiating from it. it feels quiet and peaceful. like one of those really nice dreams that leave your heart full and warm when you wake up and you stay that way for the rest of the day. almost leaves you glowing from the inside out. i know jimin thinks he doesn't deserve army but i think it's the opposite. i don't think we deserve him. he's given us so much. to help us heal and grow. i can buy albums, vote, stream, defend, and love jimin (and all of bts) for the rest of my days and it will never be enough. how do you ever properly thank someone for saving your life?

i love all the songs and i too didn´t know if i loved like crazy but it kept growing on my and now i can´t stop listening. everytime i listen to the album i go into a trance. i did like you did the first time and i was in a trance by his beautiful voice that holds so much emotions that words is not necessary. the only sad part about this so far is that the jimin fallon show was not really live vocals at least not that i could hear but it´s a common thing on the show. so i can´t wait to hear a real live vocal performance. also Like crazy will have 2 remixes coming out tomorrow, so those might be more to your taste. because synthpop is not for everyone. for those who dont like the autotune on set me free pt 2 loves like crazy way more. it´s so strange but also perfect how jimin captures every peoples likes in this album. so far i have not seen anyone say that they dont like the album. it´s a masterpiece and a very raw and honest album. and it helped me alot with my own struggles.

Watching this was my first time reading the lyrics to Letter and they made me cry! I hope you read them through at some point because... wow. Jimin is such a loving and beautiful person. I don't know if you could really hear him but JK is featured on it too. The combination of JK's and Jimin's vocals are like musical heaven. I loved the reaction. You guys always make my day so much better!!! I get off work and eat while I watch your reactions. It is now part of my Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays routine. This album is AMAZING, I have had it on repeat since it was released and it has overwhelmed my emotions multiple times. I can't pick a favorite song because I love them all so much. Letter has made me cry almost every time I've listened to it. I was waiting for yall to catch JKs background vocals and comment on how perfect his and Jimins voices pair, but it's hard to catch when you're entranced. I missed them my first time listening. Letter was bittersweet for me because it hurt knowing here soon all the members will be serving their military service and we'll all just be waiting. I really just love BTS and all of the members so much. They've made my life so much better. 🥹💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I feel the whole album is a masterpiece when you listen through the tracks in order. It’s raw, painful, authentic and beautiful. Jimin is opening up and sharing his private face, his loneliness and insecurities that have plagued him in the past and were made worse through the isolation of the pandemic while his public face was on display. He’s sharing his struggles as he feels free enough to break out. We all have a duality in what we let the world see and what we hold close privately. Loneliness, longing can make us want to bury our pain and self medicate. I think he’s freeing himself to live his life authentically, a sort of musical middle finger to fate and saying take me as I am, right here, right now. Accept me now because I’m not hiding behind anyone’s preconceived notions or my own fears anymore. His doing the promotions alone on Jimmy Fallon is a big part of that stepping out of his comfort zone and I think he let himself relax and really enjoyed and embraced it. The hidden track, Letter , for ARMY is his thank you until he finishes his enlistment. Heartbreaking but you wouldn’t expect anything less. I’m looking forward to a deeper dive into the album as a whole. I just absolutely love it. 🤍🖤❤️‍🔥💜💜🇨🇦

Letter….it’s hit me even harder watching this. Just thinking about the fact of him even writing such a beautiful letter to us in the first place. BTS loves ARMY so much and will never not be the biggest comfort. Letter is a lullaby. Its like a kiss on the forehead before bed. It’s so soft. He’s putting a blanket over ARMY and sitting this letter on our night stand that says while he has to go, never forget we’re always together and that he loves us. Letter starts on the time meter at 6:13... the birthday of ARMY and BTS beginning. 13 is Jimins favorite number because his birthday is 10/13 and ARMY's birthday is 6/13. The last song on the album is like 10 minutes long.

Hey everyone, BTS has lovingly been preparing ARMY for their military departure for a while now. Can you even imagine the first concert of BTS's return? I bet Big Bang will be there too. They will be crying, we will be crying, possibly all of us sobbing, how will we even get through the first-night concert? I can't wait! I love these guys, all of them think differently and cover a multitude of emotional needs we as ARMY face daily. Face Off entered my ears and now lives in my head for eternity. I mean we knew what Jimin was capable of because he made Lie first but Holy Schniekees this album is fire!! Letter is the most beautiful love song to Army yet. BTS have given so many incredible gifts to Army over the years such as Promise, Still with You, Winterbear, Abyss, 4 O'clock and all the other dozens of songs they have uploaded to Soundcloud for free. This is my first comment but i absolutely had to tell you about it guys , i just notice that in the hidden track at 1: 47 of the song he talks about desert and sea and it almost make me cry because its maybe a reference from their hidden track in their album love yourself her, this song is call sea, this song is very touches me and means a lot to the members ,there is a big message behind , you should listen to it , it never fails to make me cry , unfortunately she is not really that known. YES! Interlude: Dive, Like Crazy, and Alone all connect so well. If you listen to what’s going on in the interlude, at the beginning he’s breathing (he said that he wanted to convey the feeling of being lost/ searching for something) then you can hear the end of Jimin’s speech from the concert they did in Busan (the last concert before their enlistments) and then as it moves through the track you hear him moving around, driving (home probably), and then he drinks. Him pouring the drink leads him right into Like Crazy (both sonically and visually if you take into account the fact that we now in LC he’s sitting home alone and dreaming about what he wants which probably takes place right after he drinks at the end of the interlude). So know he’s he’s escaping the reality of not being with the one he loves and not being able to move on, which he does (escape) though the bliss of inebriation. Ofc everything and every song the guys do doesn’t have to be about ARMY but I think it can be applied to the thread here. The pandemic hit and they weren’t able to do concerts or to see ARMY in person. They were just stuck at home like everyone else, trying to find something to fill the void. So he runs from it, trying to chase the feeling of the heightened emotions, passion, and drive life as an idol gave him. He just wants to go back to the familiarity of how his days used to be and not face the fact that everything’s suddenly changed and he has no idea when things will begin to be normal again. At the end of Like Crazy it says “Alone again. What’s the point.” Then Alone opens with an alarm clock. He’s woken from this dreamlike state he was in, no longer inebriated, and has nothing to focus on. He’s not going anywhere, the days are going to repeat regardless of what he does. What’s the point of continuing to run? So he starts to face reality and himself. Which is what Alone is. He’s not running, he has nowhere to run to. He’s still stuck in the mud and that’s what makes him begin to grow. You can’t do anything but think when you’re stuck. Like many people did during the pandemic, he began to face himself and and self reflection even if it was painful. Which eventually leads him to finally break free in Set me free pt2. He’s not running from anything becuz he now knows there isn’t a point in running and at some point you’ll have to face everything. He’s not interested in doing that, he wants to just be and not worry about anything that may hold him back. Face as an album resembles the stages of grief. Face - off is anger. Then I think interlude Dive is a little bit of depression mixed with denial which also bleeds into Like Crazy which is denial and bargaining. He’s running from his grief, pleads to not be woken up and have to face reality. Alone is the depression when the denial and bargaining with himself no longer works. This sadness leads him to eventual acceptance with Set me Free. The movement of this album is beautiful. You can really understand his feelings that moves and changes from the beginning to end. Overall FACE is a beautiful, well crafted, and relatable piece of art. I hope Jimin can feel how proud of him we are. Ps SORRY THIS COMMENT IS SO LONG LOL

I LOVED this album! It definitely gives me euphoria every time I play it and by now I’ve listened to it millions of times:)💜 I wanted to recommend a video called BTS VS RADIO by Boracity Magazine on YouTube. The reason is because u mentioned that since Like Crazy has an English version it will be played on the radio. That’s not necessarily the case and she explains it so well. BTS have multiple songs in English but were not given the play’s western artists are. Plz watch it whenever u can!

So many things in my head to say but I feel speechless. I could not wait for this reaction... but as Jared and Jordan often say, I was not ready. The hidden track Letter, literally had me in 😢 tears. I am often touched to tears by BTS's music like Stay Gold, Truth Untold and a few others. But this literally touched the core of my soul. He was singing live but with a backing track just like BTS always does. There are moments when he would stop singing and let the backing take over, but he definitely sang live. If you don’t know who Cody McManus is, he’s a vocal coach/singer on youtube, and he even points out a few moments in the performance where Jimin is singing live versus letting the backing track do the work.

Just like every other army here and out there, Jimin just outdid himself. There is a reason why Jimin easily became my Bias (0T7).I always saw that Jimin believed so lil of his capabilities. I also saw how much pain it brought to him this break away from who they are as BTS. I was so concerned because I knew and felt he does not see what we army see. A wonderful talented, humble, loving, amazing, and the words goes on. This CD tells me he decided to embrace himself. I truly hope now that he sees what a wonderful man God has created. I am so obsessed with every single song in this album. Since it's realse I have not been able to go a day w/o listening to it. The connections with every-single-song. I hope to say thank you to him someday even if is by him just reading my lips from far away for "Letter." I do write this with tears, because I could not be more proud of this wonderful man. On a fun note," Like crazy" took me straight to "Stranger Things." This song should def be on soundtrack for their next season, and like Jared said. IT BETTER BE PLAYED ON THE RADIO OR IM GOING ON STRIKE.

"Letter" I love it so much. It lives with For Youth in my heart. It's amazing to have so many fresh tracks from both the group and the individual members that speak directly to my heart and fill me with such love, and comfort. Jungkook totally tried to spoil the song on drop day, by playing several bars of the guitar portion of the song during his we-Live. Side note, JK is on this track, echoing Jimin and providing ad-libs.

Hey...I have been listening to BTS since 2015 and I am OT7 as well as Jimin bias. Listening to Jimin's song all these years (specially songs like Alone, Letter, With you, Serendipity, Promise. Lie) is a pure ecstasy. While listening to him I feel like my heart and ears are melting. I visualize this feeling like when you put a butter in warm sunlight and it starts melting slowly. I just transform into a state where I feel like I am meditating. This album is SO JIMIN. I think It's a visual representation of his personality. It's warm, soft, full of emotions but at the same time it's mysterious and unpredictable. Loved your take on this album guys. I am not much into reaction videos but I am glad I came across your video on Youtube and it totally hooked me. I love love looove how he was able to tell a full and cohesive story in such a short album. The anger and resentment of face off (which nods to the beginning of the pandemic, the fair/circus/voices dying down at the beginning and the "It's all fucking over" refrain) segwaying to the drinking alone and the escapism of Like Crazy. Waking up the next morning hangover in Alone and facing yourself and the problems you've been trying to drown out in alcohol, partying, casual flings.. then the acceptance, triumph, and freedom of SMF pt2. Sonically, there's moments of heavy distortion in every track, minus Letter of course, which is not directly part of the narrative but a beautiful way to expand the 'resonance' he was talking about in his album intro. Saying to ARMY "I hope you become happier" like he did, since he's past those feelings of loneliness, loss of direction and depression through making this album. If you've loved this hidden track, you HAVE TO check out Sea, the hidden track in LY: Her. This is where the sea/desert metaphor he uses in Letter came from, and it's one of my favourite bts songs ever. Absolutely heartbreaking and vulnerable. They really didn't beat around the bush with that one, especially Suga's verse. All in all, I hope you can give this album a deeper dive soon since there is sooo much more than what it looks like on the surface. And remember, Bookish Theories is amazing but it's not the end of all be all of theories. There is a lot more to Like Crazy, visually, especially pertaining to identity and self discovery (facing yourself is the theme of the album after all!) like the girl in the MV and especially in the choreography being a mirror image of Jimin himself. Another map of the soul throwback. Sorry for the long ass comment but there is so much to unpack and I've been loving this EP to bits!!! 😭😭😭

I absolutely loved "Letter" the first time listening to it I felt nothing but pure and unconditional love. And then you add in JK's background vocals and ad-libs that this song actually made me cry. Because knowing that there is someone out there that I have never met but I knows loves me so wholeheartedly and without fault. Makes me so proud to be apart of this family, because that's what we, BTS and ARMY are. We are a family. And I too, absolutely and wholeheartedly love every single one of you without fault. Like Crazy definitely, grew on me it's now one of my favorites from the album but Alone?! It's my top track rn something about the melody is just so hauntingly beautiful lol This was my first time listening to Letter and reading the lyrics with you guys and let me just say I cried :') I thought the hidden track would be a song that didn't make it onto the album I never thought it was gonna be a gift to army wow. You see they don't have to do these things, but they do and that just shows how much they care. Never a dull moment with them :) It also tied back to another hidden track on the Love Yourself: Her Album titled "sea" which is why you hear the waves in the back. (There's deeper meaning to that!) I think this just came out. I am not one to normally link things, but I saw this and thought you would like it. It’s Jimin on Suga’s show. It’s funny because Suga says that he started the show because he knew the members would be coming out with solo work and this was his way of promoting them. Jimin in response says he can promote elsewhere but just came to hang out with Suga. There are other moments I’m sure you would love. The album is so beautiful. It does sound like a sountrack to your own life and you can place these sounds with experiences as an audience or imagine what Jimin was going through when creating all of the layers. 'Alone' by sound is so unique and a favorite. However everytime I listen to 'Like Crazy' it hits harder. Set Me Free pt2 is in a box full of wizardry all on its own... okay the whole album is a masterpiece. I get upset about radio. Unless the DJ is Army I doubt any of Jimin's songs will be played much. Sent an email to my local radio station to please give it spins. Army has requested/voted for their music and they still don't give them the attention they give other artists, in fact they complain. What are we supposed to do? Don't understand it, it's like they don't consider their work "music." This is why we buy albums and stream because US radio does not support. I'm rephrasing Jin but he said something like -they could have cheated their way in the industry, but they worked honestly- that gives you an idea of what Western labels do to get a song played every hour. Impatiently waiting for my physical copies of FACE! The album reaction was healthy and enjoyed.

When Jimin told us that he wrote us the song "Letter" after going home from the meeting where they were told that they wouldn't do group activities for while the lyrics and tone in his voice all made even more sense. The delicacy and tenderness in his voice told us everything about how he felt. You're right. We don't need to read the lyrics to know the message and feelings he is trying to convey to us. Hearing Jungkook's vocals towards the end, I felt love from all the members. BTS never fail to reassure us of their unconditional love and gratitude for us. We can only give back by supporting them in any way we can!

I actually tend to agree with you. Honestly the world doesn't deserve Jimin, he really is an angel, the sweetest soul, and pure gold. I don't know how he has kept his genuine, loving spirit with what he's gone through and to think that he actually feels like he owes us something is almost beyond comprehension, but honestly that's also what makes him the loving, humble, precious human that he is. <3

Watching you just listen to the album was so refreshing and meaningful and special, I just really enjoyed it because you have genuine reactions to the music first without knowing the lyrics, like we all do. I of course have listened and know the lyrics by the time I came to your reaction, and yet it was still new and I loved it. I cannot in any way pick a favorite song, it's as if one song can't exist without the other. The album feels like one 24 minute song because it truly one masterful story or journey to self-acceptance and freedom. I'm so proud of Jimin for sharing such a personal journey with us, and we are so fortunate to be witness to this journey. I too believe this mimics the stages of grief which do make perfect sense since he says it was about his feelings during the pandemic when he struggled through feeling he may have lost everything. You can so see that expressed during the MOTS ON:E final ment, when he broke down. It definitely felt like those emotions just couldn't reside in his body any longer. He says that while doing PTD he told the members he was still struggling, which was hard because they were out performing, so he should have been happier, but he was still not where he felt he should be. I am so happy that they encouraged him to write about it, because that's how we got FACE. I personally also believe that Jimin used this time to FACE some deeper things he felt personally and had battled even beyond the pandemic, but that's only my intuition because being alone can really make you left with only your thoughts, and Jimin himself has expressed he over thinks, so I'm hoping he was also able to reconcile some of that too. I really appreciated how you both described this time and how beautiful it is that BTS didn't just all enlist at the same time (even though some of us sometimes wish they had so they'd be out all together) but honestly doing it this way and as you put it - easing us into them being gone really was such a loving gift. I hadn't necessarily thought of it like that before. I kind of thought of it more for them and it being a time for them to explore themselves in an individual way and we were just benefitting greatly from that. And while it definitely is about that as well, I love the idea that this was also part of their preparing ARMY for the time without them. I'm literally cried almost non-stop for a week after the 2022 Festa Dinner when they announced the solo projects and OT7 break and while I always believed even then that it had more to do with the military, it didn't make it better, mostly because I've experienced more life than they have and all I kept thinking was that "best laid plans don't always pan out" and that things can just happen. So, while I believed them 1000% that they wanted to be back together after their OT7 break, even they didn't know what that would feel like, so how could they know how they would feel after, and so I cried for a solid week. I honestly didn't know what was wrong with me, because that was not like me at all. I eventually decided I just needed to trust them and hope for the best. Then as time past and we learned more, I felt better. But this Chapter 2 of BTS has been more than I ever imagined. I just have enjoyed thoroughly how each member has done something so different, and something so unique to themselves that only they could do it and it wouldn't have been the same as BTS. I really see their individuality growing, them growing into themselves and seeing themselves as more than just part of a group and that's so important for personal growth even still loving BTS. I know they've expressed before not knowing what to say now or struggling with that, but I see them with so much more individual experience and knowledge going through these solos that when they are back together as BTS, the world will never know what hits them because their magic will grow and be better times 70000000000! I honestly cannot wait to see what happens in 2025 and see what they have to say after everything they're going through now. Chapter 3 is going to tear down the house and honestly hopefully the industry - cuz it sure needs it. But back to Jimin. I cannot stop listening to FACE and watching the videos, every single one and all of the performances. I really can't wait for your deep dive but also I hope you will watch his live performances on the 3 music shows, because they show even more. Jimin made a masterpiece and that's all there is to it. The fact that Like Crazy was not played on RADIO is their complete loss and honestly they should be ashamed of themselves, sadly I'm not surprised. But as I said, they're not done and neither is Jimin and this new freedom he has, I think he will only do even better things with it, And while I know they all want OT7 just like the rest of us, I see them finding a way to work on both now because they've done it, or at least I hope so. Anyway sorry this was so long. But, you'll find I talk alot and can go overboard especially when it comes to BTS.
