i love the song, the lyrics n everything also jk is so nasty dammmnnnn

Maya

For the song as a whole package, i like it. I like the 00' feel, Jungkook sounds amazing, the harmonies and choreo are great. The topic of the song, I don't mind one bit. However, I don't like Jack's part. From the lyrics to his flow and rhymes, it was really lackluster for me. I was never a fan of his music. Some time ago I checked his second album and the lyricism was really underwhelming, so when they announced his featuring I was really hoping that he would deliver something better on this song. He didn't. But If I were to score this song I would still give it a 8/10, without Jack 9/10. SO the song by itself is so good that even Jack doesn't bother me that much. And I saw a lot of Army saying similar things on twitter and then getting hate for it. Well, not everything is everyone's taste. Even BTS has songs or collabs that I don't like and don't really comeback to. (like ON ft. Sia, bad decision ft snoop dogg, jason derulo's savage love, Make it right version with Lauv) Good thing is, BTS' catalog, whether as a group or solo, is so big, there's a song for everybody. For the future, I would really like to hear Jungkook in some powerful piano ballad or maybe a pop-rock song, because his voice suits so many genres.

Kona

Love JK not a big Fan of Jack Harlow as a Rapper in general song would’ve been better with Just JK (Legit Rapped better than Jack in the Song)

princess

champagne confetti n the rain!!!! oh jk you nasty AFFF I LOVE IT

Kona

Every American Rap Collab that is meant to be a BTS song the rapper hasn’t fit outside of Juice Wrld Megan and Nicki.

princess

I LIKE JACK HARLOW'S VERSE THE HATE IS UNNECESSARY

Angie Schuster

Since you asked, I will answer. I did not like Jack Harlow‘s lyrics at all. They are gross. I absolutely love JK and I love the song and the beat and the dance but as soon as Jack Harlow comes on, it makes me want to turn it off. I am so glad they released the alternate version that completely eliminates his part of the song so now I can download it and listen to it as much as I want. I loved the live dance performance he just released also. Unfortunately Jack Harlow‘s part is also in that one although it’s a little more low-key.

princess

jcole???? latto??? idk yall are weird but its just your opinion, i think alot of you dont listen to rap music outside kpop thats why you're saying whatever about JH verse. Jungkook said more nasty stuff in his singing that jack

Butterful

i loved the song!!💜💜it’s so good and i hope we get to the live performance 😩!!

Angie7

Have to say my Purple Heart was bruised today…The Army who “are so accepting regardless of this, that. and the other “ is not real …..it didn’t happen here but in multiple reactions I was viciously attacked for a difference of opinion…I see now why some leave the fandom …today has been a real eye opener …upon finding BTS and Army in the beginning I found something that was beautiful. Today has been anything but.

princess

idk why people are shitty on his verse, yall act like sex is dirty or whatever. yall coming after him saying its gross and its just weird bc it was jungkook saying he wants to "drinking that potion" after saying rain rain rain. so who was more nasty?? i think most people dont listen to rap outside of bts rapline and it really shows.

Amani ○°●•7

I'm in the @maya view on this one ... Just a great 90's pop song with alllll the sex vibe and inenudos... Jk ATE ATE it ... I like JH's 1st few bars then ... it became a NOPE for moi. Of course unlike the two of you and many many others ... im not a fan of sir Jack Harlow .... easy recycled words and misogyny.. ... I'm picky w my obsession with rap and hip hop. Some call me a snob. Golly jungkook did fukn fantastic with this... my fav part is the BABY BABY BABY hook ... with the 4 female dancers in all black with those sick mad moves 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎶🎶🎶🎶🖤🖤💜 CONGRATULATIONS JK ON ANOTHER BB HIT. KEEP DOIN YOU NO MATTER THOSE THAT DONT WANNA SEE YOU STRETCH. YOU THE KING OF POP 2023. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Butterful

Also i think Jack’s verse fits so well with the vibe, i’ve listened to it on the car omw to college and my non-army friends loved it lmao🤣they couldn’t believe that was BTS Jk definitely knows what he is doing

Maya

@princess I like j-cole and I didn't mind latto. I think they both did their thing. And why are you calling me weird for having an opinion? If you like it, then fine. For me, Jack's verse was not good and If someone's asking that's what I have to say.

princess

there's too much controversy, thank you for this

sevenprettyboys

most people who i've seen not like his verse, is because they just think it fell flat and could've been better. it didn't flow well and felt underwhelming (at least for me). i understand there are still armys who felt scandalized by it, but MOST of the criticism for his verse (not hate, that's a strong word) was because it just could've been better. i don't care if he calls himself a whore or consensually sleeps with 4 people separately (or together). that's his business. i get that this is not directed at me, but at those who think sex is dirty or whatever, but I thought this would add more perspective to the conversation. I think sometimes when discourse on twitter gets out of hand, it's hard to have any nuanced convo about it. so I hope this helps :)

Maya

@princess Jack is not a representative for the whole genre. The sex theme is also not representative of the whole genre. In my og comment I said that the topic was fine. I don't mind songs about sex. But there are a lot of Rap and Hip-hop songs that are about sex and are million leagues above what Jack spit on this song.

Butterful

yes honestly i don’t get why people are acting like it’s a big deal?😂maybe they haven’t listened to any of the trending pop / rap songs these days Jk is 26 years old and he obviously knows the lyrics to the entire song, if this was a song Justin Bieber dropped no one would say a thing lol women rappers like Doja or Nicki always talk about men in their tracks, Jack didn’t even say anything controversial lmao

Agnieszka_BTS Borahae

Jk has more TikTok dance challanges in his hotel room and on Bagtantv there is a 3D live official perfomance

Princesse Avoce

Your feelings are valid, but you can’t control the way people react to things you post on the internet. It might be the way you expressed it, your choice of words, or them being total asshole. Regardless of that, let’s not bring that energy on here. The phrasing « I see why many people leave the fandom » is very … weird

hannah

i love the song, jungkook is a the epitome of a pop star and I adore that he is having the time of his life making music and showing the world how talented he is. there is a lot of talk on twitter around jh's lyrics however I personally enjoy his part sonically, he's different and plays with the way he raps on verses which I genuinely really enjoy, it took a couple of days but its grown on me and I really enjoy the song as a whole. music is subjective and you are never going to please everyone with a song and that is completely okay however I think the negativity has been too full on, if you don't enjoy a song or the lyrics its very easy to not listen to that song and move on. I will never bash anyone for sharing their opinion but I think in the community of kpop it goes to the extreme and I believe in some ways the negativity has been taken too far in regards to this song and I know that in a few weeks/months it will be forgotten like things do in the world of kpop. jack's lyrics can be taken in several different ways and again in this community they are scrutinised and look at under a magnifying glass, I completely understand that these lyrics can offend and I do not deny that or believe that anyone should or shouldn't feel a certain way, that is the beauty of having opinions and having the right to feel the way we do about certain things but I do believe that if this verse was in a song with jack harlow on his own, no one would bat an eyelid. jungkook is incredible and I am extremely proud of him and he does not deserve the negative things being said on socials right now. once again j+j thank you for your gorgeous reactions, I appreciate you both🤍

Angie7

If it seems weird to you get back with me when you have been attacked. They asked our thoughts and that’s what I’ve left….my thoughts…i said it hadn’t happened here but Thankyou for making it happen.

Maka Mars

Bangerrrr! I’m going to play this everywhere! First J Cole, then Latto and now Jack! Army who are all-around Rap fans are winning! 🤷🏿‍♀️ JK taking 2023 by Storm. P.S.-I definitely don’t work at Five Guys lmaoooo.

princess

okay i can help you understand his bars, when he said the dead body thing, he said if you see her body, meaning he wanted to show her off to his friends bc she was sexy or sumn and they pulled up like it was a crime scene bc people like to gather at a crime scenes (dead body). for the untook, he meant she never gonna go anywhere else she wants him forever like how people always want jungkook

Angie7

And Jared and Jordan you won’t have to worry I won’t be commenting any further on this…….I love you guys I will still come back for your reactions

Beth Elliot ⦿ ☰ ☲

I personally agree, I think Jack's lyrics went too far in a number of ways 🤔 I personally prefer the alternative version without the rap 🧐💜 But to each their own 👍

sevenprettyboys

i think it's a boppppp!!!! JK really has me in a chokehold wrt the whispering and the adlibs and i love his lyrics - consent is sexy!! he has such sweet polite horny energy i love it. even with seven :] i don't have any big opinion on jack harlow's verse but it did fall flat for me and felt underwhelming - i think it could've been better (flow + lyrics wise). but i love the song as a whole and ofcourse jungkook's parts! my overall feelings about the verse has been captured so perfectly in this tweet - https://x.com/yoonjis_wig/status/1707800200394240024?s=20 there are some armys who are offended by the "ABG" line and i'm not going to be dismissive of it. i didn't even know what abg meant. I'll just link to some context behind the history of ABG for those who are unaware - https://x.com/tea_jade_leaves/status/1707645792394330212?s=20 most people who i've seen not like his verse, is because they just think it fell flat and could've been better. at least that's how it was on my timeline - I don't follow the morale police and my timeline is ALWAYS sex-positive. the verse didn't flow well and felt underwhelming (at least for me). i understand there are still armys who felt scandalized by it, but MOST of the criticism for his verse was because it just could've been better. i don't care if he calls himself a whore or consensually sleeps with 4 people separately (or together). that's his business. I hope this adds more perspective to the conversation. I think sometimes when discourse on twitter gets out of hand, it's hard to have any nuanced convo about it. I saw many people getting attacked on twitter just bc they said they were not a big fan of the feature artist verse (without hating on the artist btw) and then people just kept speaking on top of each other without really listening to what was actually being said. it was exhausting. all in all, the song is an earworm!!! i've been listening to it so much and i love it!!! edit: alright, this comment section is starting to look like twitter the day of the release. I'm tired. So I'm out of this comment section. Have a nice day/night, everyone! and keep streaming!! :)

Thaís Cardozo

I'm obsessed with every version of 3D, specially the alternative one, that high note aaaaaa. And you guys should check out his other challenges on tiktok, there's only a few, but they are awsome. Also tae did the smoke challenge too!!! Love from Brazil 💜💜💜

princess

in terms of nasty, jungkook was more nasty than jh. jungkook said rain rain rain you cant fake it and he drinking that potion and dont even get me started on the Champagne confetti. idk why everyone is so offended by jack harlow like hello????!!!!

Maka Mars

I GAGGED and clutched my pearls. When I heard that ! Everybody talking about JH but is no one listening to what JK is saying !! Lmaooo I LOVE IT ALL

Maya

Maybe they have listen but they just don't like it? What can you do if someone finds the lyrics offensive? nothing. It's just someone's opinion. And not every pop/rap song is like that. BTS is not a hip-hop group and they don't really sing about sex, so what's weird about someone not liking the song for such reasons?

SierraNicole

Like I know that ARMYs are crucifying anyone who says so but I just really don't like 3D's lyrics and some of the choreo and imagery in the video that seems to double down on the objectification and misogyny. I don't care that he's singing about sex. He's 26 ffs. But this is just the lowest hanging fruit. And the approach feels sexually /immature/ as a result. Like some freshman who just spent his first weekend at a frat house and now feels like the big man on campus and wants to show off to his sexually inexperienced friends. It gives me the ick all over, and seeing two young guys who I consider to be respectful, just going along with it is disappointing too. I like the sound. I like the 2000s NSYNC vibe. Even the video feels nostalgic. But there has to be a more inspired and respectful way to approach his "I'm a man and I have sex" concept he's going for in Chapter 2. Just my opinion. Crucify away.

sevenprettyboys

While I did not like the verse much, I have to correct you on that Maya. BTS IS an idol-hiphop group. Their roots are hip hop and it shows in most of their songs. And they HAVE sung about sex a lot. I'm sorry but Yoongi was speaking about taking people to Hong Kong in 2014/2015 lol. Joon references to riding a lot, etc. That being said, there ARE people who are the weird middle (like me) who like a nasty verse but want it to be good. and this feature left a little more to be desired (for me). that's all.

Butterful

uhhm.. BTS started as a hip-hop group and they have definitely sang abt sex…😅have you read the lyrics to dark & wild or converse high…if i ruled the world… lol they have SO many songs I mean if people don’t like it whatever, it’s their choice, but ‘armys’ are choosing to not stream the song and not support it which is so unfair for Jk and if it was another western artist no one would say a thing

Klaudia Hońca

Honestly, for me it seemed like he is saying that he used to look at women like objects he can show off to his friend, cheat on and not treat like an actual person. That's why the lyrics go ,,I SEEN, I TOLD, I USED TO''. All in past tense. But then he goes ,,NOW when i hold somebody's hand it's a new story''.

Butterful

i know like😭it’s so funny to me how everyone got so offended

Maya

but that’s the key, IDOL-hip-hop. and i know their roots, but not every song can be tied to their hip hop roots. and mentioning sexual activities in one line is different from having a whole song about sex. that was my understanding and reasoning. and I totally agree with you with the second half of your comment

Silvia

@princess and @Klaudia Thank you, that's helpful!

princess

lmao bts don’t sing about sex? the same namjoon that made joke ??? or agustd ? lmao okay

Veronica M⁷

Thanks guys. Please watch the 3D Live Performance video that just came out last night. Also JK's smoke challenge dance got a lot of attention. He is a great dancer. He edited it himself. He's very creative with lighting and angles. He's become a TikTok'er and has released a few dance challenges. 😊 Thanks again guys. 💜💜

Gog Glory

I can do without Jack Harlow verses, I think that killed the song. Don't get me wrong I still love JK part. I'm still going to listen ,and support our maknae. But I wish J H part can be deleted.

Princesse Avoce

Me personally I listen to a lot of music outside of BTS anything from the 40s to nowadays, every Genre of music. I liked the song as a whole, and there’s no need to be deep and shakespearien with every song. Sometimes you just wanna shake ass and catch a good vibe. And that’s totally what 3D is. This always happen with every collaboration with RAP/Hip-hop artist BTS collaborate with. There’s always a discourse about the verse not being deep, being too sexual, too superficial, not enough this and that. And the excuse is always « rap is not my style, I only like BTS rapline » (btw I see why the numbers are always lower when it comes to the rapline’s music). Mind you the same type of rap that a lot of y’all hate is the same music that inspired the guys to start making music. They still listen to that kind of music even today! And 3D was heavily black influenced … I saw MJ, USHER, Beyoncé in that MV. There was a lot of slang in jack’s verse and a lot of play on words that went over people’s head. The only line that I am doubtful about is the ABG line because my fine self is obviously not Asian. But « it’s not deep enough, the MV doesn’t have any meaning, the song is not good bla-bla-bla ». Yesterday felt really anti black on army twitter if you ask me. But yeah to each its own! You ain’t gotta like it but goddamn let people enjoy it. I also feel like Jungkook is embracing his sexuality and showing more of his personality and a lot of people don’t like that version of him. Mind you those are the same people who were writing fanfics and smuts about him while using house of cards as a sexy background song lol. They created this whole « mafia Jk » fantasy/aesthetic of him but now are not liking it when he’s embracing himself and owning it lol. Some even went as far to say « let’s remind Hybe who their target audience is » like they own the boys or sum?!? So everything they do gotta suit your taste ?! I don’t think so, you don’t like fine, leave it alone. Don’t stream just like y’all don’t already with the rapline’s albums lol. Just like y’all didn’t buy JITB because it wasn’t a physical album. But be reminded that they see those slick tweets. I do wonder one thing: aren’t we the same community always thanking people left and right for letting BTS be themselves, speak Korean, do their verse in Korean, be comfortable, etc?. So why can’t we do the same for the people they work with? Why must they change to cater to us ?! But I am happy everyone got to express how they feel. It’s refreshing to see. Let’s keep it that way, with zero hypocrisy.

sevenprettyboys

I hope this comment section does not become like twitter the day of the release. I already see differing opinions but very few having a nuanced convo where they're actually listening and then responding instead of just responding for the sake of it. Please talk WITH each other instead of talking OVER each other and get some other perspectives that you may not have considered. I see so many of you expecting to find an echo chamber in here and while wanting validation for your opinion is fair, selectively ignoring other more grey perspectives (not everything is black and white!) is not it. I'm trying to do the same 💜

princess

jungkook has been sexualized since he debuted. and now he’s owning his sexuality but it’s given frat boy energy?? okay everyone has their opinion but i think that’s just funny.

Mayela Castro

💜JK 👍🏻.....Harlow 👎🏻🤢

Butterful

Seeing the comments right now feels like i’m re-living the War of Hormone era with armys ‘offended’ who even made namjoon apologize😂😂 Honestly it’s draining trying to make people understand that Jk loves this style of music and HE chose Jack, if one user named “cookiesbangtan2013” says it’s so bad and offensive while grabbing their pearl necklace, that won’t stop Jk from topping the billboard charts sooo…. LETS GOO✨

LizP⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷

Ok heres my 2 sense....I loved this song!!! However....the alternative version without the rap. Idk the kid but I just didn't care for his repetitive type, not really rhyming style of the lyrics. Everybody who says the lyrics of this song are offensive must've forgotten JK literally says he'll be fvkn 7 days a week on Seven. The sound does give off JT vibes, but the beat (at least to me) sounds like a sped up version of Tupacs All Eyes On Me 💜. I knew the second we got that trailer, this song was gonna be tha shyt!!!! I love the beat, the choreography, the water scene in the video!! (Wet JK OMG) If I'm being 100% honest, I didn't care for Seven much (don't hate me Jared) but I'm obsessed with 3D alternative version. Thanks guys for this reaction 💜🫶💜🫶

Maya

nah yall cant be serious when comparing converse high, saying one sexual line in a song or comparing a diss track to this 🤣

Gog Glory

Spot on Silvia💜

Butterful

@princess i think it’s not worth trying to convince these people imo😅like let’s just let them be like this lol the fact that she said this about Jk’s work, im not even sure she knows him

sevenprettyboys

Maybe this gives you a different perspective on this discourse/conversation that already seems exhausting to me and I don't want a repeat of twitter - some of us just don't like the verse because it could've have been better. Have you perhaps considered that? This tweet sums up my feelings about the verse perfectly - https://x.com/yoonjis_wig/status/1707800200394240024?s=20 and before you come at me with, "this doesn't need to be deep", it's not about deep. it's about just something that hits right. It it doesn't hit right, it doesn't. that's about it. I hope you consider engaging in nuanced conversation and seeing the comments that are giving different perspectives than some of them just being offended by sexual lyrics.

Princesse Avoce

My comment was definitely not an attack! And I am sorry people were mean to you. I wasn’t mean in my comment. However I’d say it again «the phrasing was weird ». Not your opinion or your feelings.

princess

this would be my final comment bc i think ive just had enough of people judging jungkook/jack harlow. i want this comment section to be a safe place for everyone. I want to let everyone know regardless of what you think about this song jungkook likes it and he intentionally chose jack harlow and whatever you have to say about jungkook he said he doesn’t even care (he said this his recent interview and old lives). he is expecting people to like it and he knows some people won’t like it. it’s your opinion, but to say jack harlow did this and that is just weird. i’ve tried to explain his bars in the comments i hope you can find it. he wasn’t being misogynistic or whatever, i think a lot of people are covering how they feel about jungkook bc he is owning his sexuality and bringing jack down when jungkook said worst or they just don’t understand/listen to rap outside bts. anyhow feel whatever that’s okay.

leat

as of now seven is predicted to land at nr 7 on billboard hot 100. hehe how ironic is that. all about seven the whole way through he also charted 7 weeks on global sportify chart. But i hope that people will love it more than seven for me this is way better and then there is few who thinks seven is better. people is very divided. the main thing people dont like about this song is harlows verse. but it´s mainly army who is used to BTS that they forget all western music is like this. this is why i dont enjoy western music. i only listen to this because it´s jk and it´s a bop so i just ignore the lyrics. but this is tame compared to what others have made so id get it. So i think it´s good that the alternative version was made i think bighit knew there would be a problem with the lyrics

Butterful

yeah maybe you didn’t like the style or the flow🤷🏻‍♀️but i loved it and Jk apparently did too because he released it so… that’s what matters to me im just going to enjoy it

sevenprettyboys

I did not say anything about JK or his choice of a feature artist and I wish people would stop conflating giving a valid opinion of something to criticizing JK for choosing that feature artist. and for the record, i love the song overall and i've been streaming since it released :)

-Mac-

Warning, the essay writing Auntie is back... Hey hey, 2J! I LOVE Jungkook in this! The harmonies /alone/ and the ad libs!?! [Insert :screaming: →here←] 🤯😱🤯 I keep having eargasms. I never listened to much JT, and everyone keeps mentioning him, but he was influenced by MJ, and that is what /I/ keep hearing, particularly in that staccato "I can't touch you through the phone" [think Smooth Criminal] The track for me /is/ nostalgic in feel; it's comfortable and familiar in a way. I love the Alternate version [for reasons I'll make clear below] and just smile my face off. It's so very good. I've heard JH's verse enough times that I can hear the contrast to Jungkook's falsetto, and how him doubling and echoing in his deeper tones adds a good backdrop to Koo's brighter vocals and ad libs. [Yeah, Jino made me listen with my real ears, he's not wrong.] Also, I just need to laugh at how JK's songs have me lookin' stuff up on Urban dictionary. BTS members be keepin' me educated. His writers are dirty minded, and JK is there with them, singin' those phrases with his whole chest, and that dang smirk on his face because he knows we know. [or we're gonna shortly!] I love it on these grown Borah Streets. 💢💢💢💢💢💢💢💢💢💢 Now, on to JH; man I went /through/ it over his verses. This is where I started: It's /immediately/ made clear phone sex, and skype sex, have been a thing, and now JK's asking to go 3D. JK's verses are classy, double-entendres, euphemisms and all. I hear invitation, I hear asking to go the next step, I hear promising to be a good and fulfilling partner. Whereas JH's 1st verse is all about the fact that he's a whore, you're gonna be a trophy that his friends are gonna envy, and [since I can count], you'll be woman #5. It's about the women getting pretty for /him/. Not what he'll do for the woman. Very different creatures, JK's verses compared to JH's In an age where a man having and bragging about multiple sex partners is still, not only accepted, but expected and uplifted, when a woman would be vilified, called a slut, a poor example of what a /lady should be etc./, JH's verse is problematic for /me/ on a personal level. The AGB line gets multiplied when he's very specific that he'd fly the person from Korea. I'm not forgiving that line in his verse, nope. ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ That was my opinion more or less, all night right through until about mid-day yesterday. [from the thread with my besties] Where I ended up yesterday late afternoon/early evening: I really wish the notion of "cryin' over him singing about sex" would stop being pushed around. I'm so /not/ pressed about the damn sex. I'm totally here for grown JK. I will say that JK's verses in 3D are not as explicit, imho, as SEVEN. I've had to listen to the song, /specifically/ JH's verses, with the CC up so I could see every word and then pause to wrap my head around it and fix my listening comprehension. On listens 1 thru 5, I was very unhappy about misogyny and the acronym. [Honestly, the imagery that comes up with those verses, doesn't really lend itself to a "That was the old me" vibe.] It took calm discussion and some lyrical analysis [something ARMY has learned to do] with a few friends, [I love my ARMY family so much!], for me to actually use my ears to hear the words JH used, rather than listening with my eyes. If folks want me to explain what changed for me, I'll go through the long af break down, but suffice it to say, I /did/ FINALLY get over everything but that damn acronym. It bothers me enough that I will not put the E version on my playlists. [I have serious problems with the n-word too, and so I didn't get to enjoy On the Street; imagine my heartbreak 😭] If I had one wish, no, I lie, 2 wishes, it would be no more collabs, and songs that JK has writing or producing credits on. I really want to hear what he can do when he's touching more aspects of the track. But that's just me being greedy. ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ [My post in a different group had the same discussion] In the end, 3D went from a 5/10 with JH's verses to a 7/10 once I'd had some time to understand what he was saying. Alternate Version is a solid 8.5/10 The MV is a 7.5/10 The Official Live Performance Video is a solid 8.75/10, the dancers [@jamrepublictheagency] make it look easy, and so very, very good. Love it! https://youtu.be/Z3x9i7njCCo?si=wNhtltGMExs79LD0 OK, that's it, The essay writing Auntie, signing off, Peace!

Maka Mars

🫨 huh? It’s perfectly fine if you don’t like a song. but you lost me at BTS is not a hip-hop group.! BTS’ foundation IS Hip-Hip. They are inspired and constantly tell us who their inspirations are and they are mostly rappers. BTS don’t sing about sex? Tell me you don’t read lyrics without telling me you don’t read lyrics. The guys are no longer constrained by the “rules” and “laws” of the idol world. That bubble gum, innocent, perfect persona that a lot of kpop lovers are use to. They can now do whatever they want. And I’m proud of all 7 of them! Because what’s a life I’d it’s controlled by others !

Sandra Heasman

There is a live performance already it’s really good. Also the album is coming out in November I’m sure 3 D is already no 1 on I Tunes in the Uk it said last night on you tube also a RUMOUR on there that a possible Zayn Malik collaboration on Dec 1st we will have to wait and see

Maka Mars

Oh no ! I don’t like this hip hop slander . It’s breaking my heart. I thought at least this would of been the place to give flowers to an accomplishment and the stepping stone.

hannah

perfectly said !

Butterful

i know… i expected more from the comments in here😬

Maya

I didn't write anything about not liking the song, and I feel like you're choosing only certain parts of my comments to twist my words against me. For me, having explicit lyrics or some lines indicating sexual activities don't equal having a whole song about sex, which I didn't mind btw. And I said all of that having read and knowing all of their lyrics. That's just where I stand regarding this topic and I understand both sides. Jumping on someone just because they don't like something is not okay

LizP⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷

I don't listen to western music either because over the past couple decades it just kept getting raunchier and raunchier. I'm an adult, these people are adults, but I'm a mom now and I look at things from that point of view. And I agree, there are worse lyrics out there. JK was at least a bit more suttle and JH, well I don't think it was that bad either but I just didn't care for his flow/style. That's why the alternative version is on repeat in my playlist.

Amani ○°●•7

Its ok to differ on opinions folks ... Music is Art. It stimulates dialogue. Everyone has a differing ear. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🖤💜

Danica ⁷

Great reactions as always! Thank you so much 💜

leat

Ok i actually liked the flow it was a nice break but i also love the alternative but i think i like the original best. not the lyrics but i think it makes the song more interesting

Silvia

Princess, I appreciate you explaining the lyrics. I was unsure about how to interpret certain things in JH's verse ( I am also a non-native English speaker), and I think some of my life experiences made me approach some of his lines a certain way, so I was hoping people could ask questions or clarify without throwing accusations around, as I've seen people do the past couple of days, so thank you for that.

claudia lecusascu ⁷

i see a lot of people being butt hurt over this song and Jack's verses and choice of words. I'm not gonna stay here and analyze them cause if some just don't wanna understand them than it's not my problem. People tend to forget that Jungkook actually chose who to feature on this song and the fact that people are criticising that artist makes me wonder about a lot of things. If Jack's verse seemed too explicit than all these people really didn't get the message and the imagery in the mv. Jungkook went even further than Jack on this song in my opinion, and if you disagree go and look up what champagne confetti, drinking that potion mean and then connect that meaning to the fire hydrant and the choreography. Just because jk didn't come right out and said it it does not mean he didn't go there. He is a healthy 26 year old MAN, and frankly he can do and is doing whatever he damn pleases. It was fine when people were sexualizing him and depicting him in every possible way, but the moment he actually takes control over this people get shocked. As much as we all love his baby star candy side we need to remember he's a grown ass man too. If you don't like the song than you are free to skip it and don't stream it, there are a lot of others that will gladly take your place, but please do not be a hypocrite about it.

sevenprettyboys

Yes!!!! This!! I think just the way people went to extremes without listening to each other made it very exhausting (on twitter). I'm having fun with the whole song though! 💜

princess

this is so real, people saying jack said this n that, like grow up! read what jungkook is saying and the context of the song. jk even said he be drinking puss 🧃👀👀👀

claudia lecusascu ⁷

and to more fun stuff lol jungkookie actually said in his suchwita episode that there was gonna be a second single after Seven and his solo album before the end of november, i know you guys may have forgotten about it so i just wanted to remind you. Smoke Challenge was also done by Taehyung with the creator of the challenge herself Bada Lee , will leave a link for it https://x.com/joonhyyh/status/1701892785341935820?s=20 you guys mentioned the editing in Jungkooks challenge, and he said he edited it himself so thats a fun fact. He also did multiple other dance challenges over on his tiktok account. these are also edited by him btw. https://www.tiktok.com/@jungkook?lang=en

claudia lecusascu ⁷

@princess yes thank you, I was trying to be more gp friendly but you got what I was saying lol

princess

i'm glad you were able to understand his verse, this is why people are explaining the lyrics to non-english speakers who dont understand the metaphors.

Aylaᴿᵖʷᵖ

You guys being surprised about JK's album is a kinda typical young army thing (I have em too) because we're forgetting to listen to the members and we're getting info from other people or sites. JK said on Suchwita that he was dropping another single in the autumn then his mini album by November so I'm just happy it's going well. This smoke challenge was done in his hotel room in the US while he was over there recording/promoting and he's done a couple others, I suggest you guys follow him on tiktok cos he deleted his IG and only uses tiktok and weverse. He's still enjoying hanging with us, which is cute. Big Hit announced that all members will be enlisted by the end of this year so let's enjoy their own content while we can! Borahae family <3

princess

also jungkook edited the smoke challenge himself, we stan a talented king

Maka Mars

Lmaooooo!!! Lmaoooooo @princess I love you for just saying it ! lmaoooo are you on the discord??!!!

Maka Mars

Lmaooo I spit out my wine lmaooo!! I love it !!

Raevan21

I don't care for it. I love JK, he sounds amazing, the music/tune is fin, the dance is cute, I am glad he's doing what he wants to and I support him in it. I am pretty G/PG-rated in my everyday life though so I really don't enjoy explicit anything. I rarely curse (except when driving, I have a touch of road rage sometimes, lol). I hide my eyes at sex scenes in movies which even my husband thinks is weird. It's just not my thing. (I am also a soft stan and I don't read or enjoy fan fic, though I do get a kick out of ARMYs reactions to all the visuals/photos and I can appreciate a beautiful looking person). That being said, I did listen to it a few times and watched both videos and part of that melody just won't leave me alone. I feel like I am that girl in the Seven video exasperated by JK in my head all the time.

claudia lecusascu ⁷

and I get it but I don’t see what the problem with the wording is as well. Jack is not referring in any derogatory of misogynistic way towards anyone, actually he refers to him in that way which made me love his verse even more. i’m not gonna talk about the ABG verse cause i’m not asian and I don’t have any say in that. As i’ve said in my comment I respect people’s opinions but they gotta make some sense first

princess

@maka mars i'm not, there's a discord? i'm usually a casual viewer but this topic has made me more active hahah

LaNita Starr⁷

Hey guys 👋🏽 I hope you guys had as much fun reacting to this song as we did watching you! I love this song!! JK is sooo forking talented, his voise is to die for. As are his dance moves, and his tatoo!! Yaaaaasss, that sleeveless shirt Jared..yes yes yes!! I like Jack Harlow as an individual rapper so I had fun with this one! Both him and JK got a little dirty 😜🤭 The sound did remind me of Justin Timerlake (huge fan since NSYNC) and the photos for this reminded me of Michael Jacksons Scream! I know you guys bring us a lot of content, and I personally looove when you go real DEEP into things.. like Champaigne confetti. Rain deep 👀🤭...Fun time guys! I hope you guys know you can enjoy some things off camera just to enjoy them. We understand you have lives and BTS has a lot of content and lately, with the solos, has been a lot to keep up with. So scroll if you wanna, indulge if you wanna, tick tok and reel if you wanna! 👍🏾🫶🏾 Enjoy life handsome gentlemen! 💜💜💜💜 Borahae 💜💜💜

Bwahahaha... dead. I laughed so hard at this. They are soo cute 🤣💜

Love your reaction as always! I’m obsessed with this song! Jungkook is really pushing himself and trying new things. There’s also an interview of him talking about 3D he says it’s sexier than Seven. This song is definitely sexy. Here’s a link to the interview. https://youtu.be/CU43brQDNr0?si=4ilDcK4SutJ2AZ4w

Heather ⁷

V also did the smoke challenge which you can find on tic tok & youtube

Gloria Spencer

Hey Jared & Jordan, didn't you watch Suchwita with JK when he told Suga that he wanted to release another song similar to SEVEN and then a mini album in November.

Maka Mars

Exactly If it was just “meh. That wasn’t giving.” Or just straight up saying “I don’t like Jack Harlow” I would respect it lol. I’m not even the biggest fan of JH. I know of him and I know he got good songs and meh songs. But the way people are throwing around the ‘misogynistic’ word is ridiculous. And at this point it has lost its meaning. Because I’m starting to think I’m a misogynist lol it’s like I can’t even get my booty popping to a good bop (that is meant to get the booty to pop) without a discussion to that said booty popping music.

Maka Mars

I love this explanation. You have every right to feel how you feel and live how you live. 💜 we have different walks of life I am only PG13 around my older family members, church and at work. Because it would be inappropriate. I am not for Children lmaooo.

Raevan21

Lol. Love it! Yes I am definitely the most PG of my friends. Everyone being different is what makes life exciting! It's funny because despite me being this way, I LOVE new experiences, even if they don't end up being my taste, and other people around me, like my hubby, I'm are completely the opposite, and I am ok with that.

Tara

I'm sorry Armys attacked you. If you're disappointed in the song, you're not alone💜

Elle🫶

I for one really liked the song. I mean it obviously lacks a bit of substance and I typically like songs better if there are meaningful and impactful lyrics, but it’s not a matter of life and death and I kind of feel like this entire thing has blown out of proportion. This would obviously never have been released as a bts song, simply because is doesn’t align with the themes and messages that they as an act have chosen. But jk as a solo artist is clearly enjoying experimenting with his musical style and testing out how much success he is able to accomplish in a foreign and global market on his own. And the song is featured by a western artist, of course the song is gonna rise to the occasion and sound like a western song? I love it when music is deep but I’m also able to understand that there is no need for every song to be that way. Yeah jacks lyrics feel half assed, and yeah the meaning behind it isn’t philosophical or intro-perspective in any way but it’s sounds good and it’s fun and it’s catchy and what more can you asked for? I would be lying if I said that I didn’t hope for his album to have a bit more substance simply because that is one of the main reasons as to why I respect bts’ music so much, but I would still completely understand if every song were with a western feel. He has stated multiple times throughout his career that he has felt incredibly insecure about his own abilities and how well he is going to be able to make it on his own. It’s refreshing to me to see his confidence and willingness to push his popularity. He takes pride in his music at the moment and wants to test out his own limits so go for it is all I’m thinking. The song slaps soooooooo

Tara

100% agree. What these replies to your comment don't understand is that it doesn't matter who sings it, we're tired of having sex shoved down our throats in this way.

princess

@ tara well listen to something else, its simple Jungkook is in his sexual era and i love to see it. not everything has to be so philosophical, he just wants to have fun, nothing wrong with that.

Addie Jupiter

Jk did his thang and sounds like Justin Timberlake however I feel Harlow could have done better with his verse

Maya001

This song was a banger I love it both Jks voice and Jacks verse plus the beat were all 🔥🔥🔥 Btw Tae also did the smoke challenge if u wanna see it! He did it with the creator of the choreography Bada. Jk has a couple dance videos on his Tiktok. Just search Jungkook and it’ll pop up he as a individual account and he edits the videos like smoke challenge himself.

Tracey Keyes

I agree with your comment We all know JK is a grown man, and I’m quite over that being used as the point everyone likes to make when someone disagrees, but just because he’s grown, why does that make it ok to be crude or overtly sexual, and just because it’s common in the US, that doesn’t make it better either. That’s the reason why I don’t listen to most western music, cos I don’t want to hear smut all the time! I love JK, I love BTS and I do like the song( without JH part) , and I’ve always thought that JK would be the bad boy type who’d push the boundaries and he’s clearly targeting the western audience so that’s his choice and that’s ok . I do find the ABG thing a bit questionable though.. I mean people get offended by so many things, but this is OK? And the fact that JK is Asian makes it ok? I’m not sure about that.. but of course that’s just my opinion. But anyway, I’m glad there is an alternate version( which in my opinion focuses on how amazing JK’s voice is) and that’s the one I’ll be listening too, just as I prefer the clean version of Seven . And before everyone hates on me, I’m old enough and have enough life experiences to know that I’m entitled to my opinion and I don’t care if you don’t like it .

Silvia

See? I love to see the journey! I was having those feelings and didn’t feel like I had anybody to talk to because the conversations with army you don’t know can turn into accusations real fast, I was actually scared to comment anywhere. I don’t really care at all about the whole sex thing, and whether JK wants to be explicit or not, It seems like people attribute any discomfort with this song to that, and it isn’t always the case. In fact I like that he is experimenting and breaking the mold some army want to keep him in. I think I just didn’t like the JH verse because it felt more objectifying, and it gave me the ick. I also admit I wasn’t sure about how to interpret some of the lines, and took them very differently as to how other army explained them to me. However, I feel like there should be nothing wrong with us dissecting lyrics and expressing our opinion if we didn’t like them though, isn’t that why we are watching J&J’s deep dives? Anyways, thank you for sharing and updating your response! I love a good essay😅💜

Dani Ellison

JK has sooo many sexual innuendos in his lyrics. And the visuals from the video that go along with them is a masterpiece. He bringing out his grown and sexy and I'm here for all of it. Do your thing JK I know his album gonna be a banger 🤪 🤣

Iris

I love this.

lis

For the Smoke challenge, JK actually edited the video himself. So all the cool camerawork was done by JK!

SierraNicole

Yeah. Sorry, mature adults don't talk about sex like this. It doesn't come off grown, it comes off immature. I get his desire to show an "I have sex" side--it's a rite of passage for a lot of boy band members (George Michaels, JT, Liam Payne, etc). But this feels like he's playing a character and showing off that he parties and bangs chicks because he's rich and hot and grown. It feels uninspired and disingenuous. I've been in this fandom since 2018 and I've never not seen Jungkook as an adult. And I'm never pro-sexualizing anyone. I don't really understand the point you're trying to make with that or how it counters mine at all. I have no problem with him claiming his sexual identity and experience and sharing it with us. But he didn't write this. He's not sharing anything. He's singing a douchey, objectifying song, with the poster boy of creeps. That's my problem with it.

Hana⁷

You should check out his tiktok, he did a few more dance challenges than just this one, and he nails it every single time :D

N ♡

I think it was because in Suchwita with Tae the captions showed that Yoongi said something that sounded like the last solo album was already released. Where I think he meant the last solo debut, but it lead to some confusion

-Mac-

Thank you so much for reading all the way through this monster! I understand how unsettling it can be to have differing opinions about the songs our guys are releasing. Being cancelled, blocked, called an anti, or solo stan, and then the dog pile it's ridiculous, and given how extra folks can be on the internet, even scary. Non-ARMY call us a cult, and ARMY is quick to snap back and say no. Yet when ARMY act like real humans with their own dang minds and opinions, folks are attacked inside our own house by the people we should trust the most, ARMY. Make it make sense.

Christina

I enjoy this song. It's sad to see all the hate this song gets, especially JH's parts. At times his lyrics are a bit cheesy sure, but they are in no way misogynistic... I feel like people are just ignorantly throwing around that word because they don't personally enjoy songs that cover sexual themes. He enjoys multiple partners so that makes him misogynistic? How does that make sense? The line about the dead body? I took that as in drop dead beautiful, he was stunned when he saw her. To see how some people interpreted that line was shocking... I've also seen comments about this song/JK being immature. Since when did talking about sex become immature or something shameful. It's completely fine if people don't enjoy those topics in the music they listen to. That is their choice to not listen to that kind of music, I would never judge them or push them into an uncomfortable zone. But when those same people push their opinions onto artists in terms of what is OK and what is not OK/immature for them to sing about, that's where I question their logic. Now you're trying to take away their choice and artistic freedom. Anyways, I really enjoy your reactions. The performance video for 3D is out. It's really fun, basically a second MV.

-Mac-

This, I think right now, 3/4 of the squabbling is about feeling invalidated for their opinions or concerns.

LIBBY WILSON

Look at our Baby Boy who is now a grown man.!🫠🫠😗 After Seven, I still wasn't ready to this. OMG, am I in denial? Jung-Kook is wearing these women out. Jack Harlow comes in and spiced it up. Found out what an ABG. On top of everything Jung-kook does his own ad libs...now how sexy is thatl??? I LOVE THIS SONG! OT7💜×7

Maybe “mini” didn’t quite translate properly. 😂😂 He got us with this one. Can’t wait to see who else he features and collaborates with. 😳😁💜

sevenprettyboys

This was honestly such a lovely essay! I agree with the person who's replied to you as well (for some reason, I can't see their username??). I think I went through a similar process with this song lol. The person who replied said "...it seems like people attribute any discomfort with this song to that, and it isn't always the case." And I agree with this so much!! This is what riled me up even more on the day of the release. J.H.'s verse didn't rile me up like this but people's assumptions did. Eventually I realized that I'd just had a long day and so some of people's assumptions (about my opinion on that verse) got to me, and made me frustrated. I've been trying to be more...intentionally responsive than reactive, after that. It was a much needed lesson for me, I'd say. Your essay was awesome :)

Saphy

My take on this song is, I wonder if the music video was different whether there'd be such a negative reaction? I can only speak for myself. I didn't like when JH held a girl's hand and the camera panned to show a whole line of women. There's another shot with JH counting the women and we see 1. 2. 3. 4. It left a bad taste, for me. But isn’t that the creative team and video producer’s call? I don’t know I’m asking. But I do wonder if the MV was shot differently, what the feedback would be? Maybe the same, who knows, these are just my rambling thoughts. Anyway, I liked 3D just a little bit more more than Seven. JK's vocal's were riding high on this one and I prefer the alternate version - I get more JK 😊 Bring on 'GOLDEN'. 💜

Angie7

Thankyou for that! I’m trying real hard to see if I want to continue on this journey…It may have been beautiful in the beginning but it got real this time….never have I ever seen such hateful people attacking over a difference of opinion…For a group who prides themselves on being accepting of other’s differences there was lousy representation of “Army” this weekend.Another thing to consider If a new Army just starting were reading some of the stuff going on, they may wonder what in the heck they were getting into and on other pages people were goin to unsubscribe…so people who feel the need to attack even down to how a person leaves a comment may end up costing reactors their subscribers

D Daniel

I love the song. It’s the nostalgia for me as it definitely is a nod toward Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Pharrell. I inadvertently say “take it to the bridge” because it reminds me so much of SexyBack🤣 and I am here for it! The hate it’s getting is 100 percent absolutely unwarranted in my opinion. I really believe it’s coming from 1) not having a real understanding, knowledge or appreciation for rap flow and cadence and 2) not wanting JK to grow up, be sexy and experiment with his art. The reactions to this song make it clear to me that the listeners have not heard any songs by Jack Harlow as this rap feature was mild to say the least. JH is talking about himself not women so how that is interpreted as sexist and misogynistic is interesting. Also both JK and JH lyrics are asking for consent from the other party, (JK - if you’re ready, if you’ll let me … JH - you ain’t gotta guarantee me nothing), so I don’t see anything disrespectful from either of them. Even Big Latto in Seven and Megan the Stallion’s feature in Butter were considerably laid back and mild compared to what those artists have done. The only feature that was somewhat a full “representation” of the artist was j-hope featuring J. Cole in On the Street but then Hobi honorably gave Cole all those bars to fully express himself. Again, I am here for it all, am proud that JK has the courage and freedom to make the music he wants to make and love that he is embracing hiphop and rap features in his music. I’m excited for Golden and will support it 💯❤️

Jordyn

I feel like I'm getting repetitive, but I'm just really proud of JK. He's really just out here doing his thing!
