yessss time for I Need You, our iconic queen Y'alls constant concern for the guys safety when they are doing random stuff is so endearing. Tae slayed in those heels, he is actually known to just have amazing balance and hand eye coordination so it's not a big surprise he can balance on heels. I could never lol.

also guys! wanted to say don't worry too much abt the deep understanding of the BU💜imo it's amazing and you can easily get a grip of the story if you watch vids like bookish theories, i think sometimes reacting to the song with the mv (as it came out) is way cooler bc you get the vibe they wanted to portray for each era!!

i also love the stripped down versions of their songs more. they do it often especially in the early days. i personally love the fake love version with the japanese pianist. i forgot his name. but i can´t seem to find the video of it. he was playing piano, and BTS stod around him. i think it was fake love. i hope someone can share a link if you know witch one i am talking about.

The live, if I'm not mistaken, is the Urban Mix remix of I Need U. I LOVE that version so much. Also, I don't think what Tae did in those heels is easy lol. Them being the type of heels that cover the top of the foot helps, but the heel is still pretty skinny. I'd probably hurt myself 😭.

in korea is really unpolite to show fangirling public and this was also very small so the army was really shy too. but you will se a extremally deferent audience depending on where they perform. japan is even more silent, it is a social thing.

ok so I'm not a dancer or figure skater but I have worn those types of heels on multiple occasions, that particular style of heel with the support on the whole foot is kind of easier to perform in and walk, since the foot is completely covered. Still you can easily loose your footing especially with how skinny taes heel was lol he surprised all of us that day. We lost Jared into the Jimin effect I'm afraid 😂

for me the heels is no big deal when you are used to it however i have tried dancing in heels all night and i cam nowhere to jumping because if the heel is not strong or sturdy enough it will break and you will break your ankle. But from looking at these heels, your feet is actually tucked in and being kept stable and the heel seem strong so maybe i could have done it when i was younger hehe but still you tend to be careful so V is really brave for doing this when it was his first time. it´s like trying rollerblades or skates for the first time. like Bambi in ice hehe. but he was just so confident and seems like he had done it before. actually there is videos of J-hope dancing too if you are interested? hehe here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCh_Ge2id6k Funny story: i was young doing the plato shoes era (15 years old). and i had the highest shoes, it made me 13 cm taller. so it felt like walking on stilts and it was really scary. so one day on my way to a party i heard some guys walking behind me and i went into V´s fashionista mode hehe. i wanted to look cool and confident, not scared of falling. and i had a really pretty dress on and the guys started whistling. but suddenly my foot bend to the side and i fall strait into the asphalt and the guys just gasped and ran up to help me. and one of them ended up supporting me to my home. i did sprained my ankle. it was the most painful and humiliating thing ever. and no i did not get luckly hehe the guys was laughing at how funny it looked.

Didn't expect you to be asking Army for information about wearing high heels today 😂 Taehyung has amazing reflexes and balance so it's not surprising he can do that. Personally I'm pretty sure I'd roll and ankle or end up on my ass if I attempted to do what he did! The type he was wearing are pretty easy to walk in though. I'm really looking forward to finally getting into the BU with you guys! It's good you're getting through HYYH quickly as we still have a flood of new content coming in the next couple of months. These guys really never stop!

Just some context to Tae slaying in heels. On the show star king, they had a dance troupe ‘guys in heels’ I think they were called, whose speciality was doing performances in heels. After their introduction etc Tae as one of the panelist’s got invited to try them and take part in that segment… Which he wholeheartedly and happily did. Any one telling you it’s easy in those heels is lying lol and never tried it themselves and is trying to underplay how fab a job Tae did walking in them let alone dance in them in my opinion. When you read the comments to the video everyone is like he walks in them better than I do etc and I would break my ankle if I tried that. The stiletto heels are extremely thin and immense coordination is needed to walk in them never mind dance in them. (For context as part of my job -while I was studying- for a luxury French makeup company, our uniform required us to wear heels so I’ve got experience of long long days on my feet in every type of heel) Incidentally Hobi tried to dance in heels in another star king episode… and failed endearingly. I’ve never seen any other member dancing in heels off the top of my head. Also I’m unsure how Jimin will do as in reality most contemporary dance requires you to be bare foot so if anything dancing in shoes/heels is harder compared to what he would be used to. Tae when he was in school used to take part in drag competitions during break time etc, he mentioned it in the early days in the Japanese fanclub magazine. Another aspect of his free-spirited personality we adore. The reason JK was dressed as a carrot was that during the muster they played a game while they were changing… the loser’s punishment was the odd-one-out outfit. In terms of I need you. The lyrics were supposed to be i need you friend. Namjoon talks about in his live that I recommend you watch. But they were changed to girl because it fit better… I’m so looking forward to your watching the MV. You have to remember that when ARMY first got introduced to this song it was through the MV. It was a never seen before type of MV that had us all shook. So the impact of the song was even more immense. P.s I love your little cat pic edit to accompany the meowing. :) 💜

Thank you! I knew I had read about Tae and drag somewhere as well as the "I need you friend" part. I just couldn't find it to make sure i was remembering correctly. I will say that these did have more support than what Hobi tried, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Tae absolutely slayed. And I would have broken an ankle regardless of how much support there was. LOL

I’m not sure if they explicitly mentioned why but a lot of reactors choose not to use color coded lyrics because they can be inaccurate and some of the accounts that upload them are problematic. I still think it can be fun not knowing who’s exactly singing what and then find out later during a live performance.. Just my two cents!

This song is absolute perfection. The MV is ... well no spoilers, but it will shock you. can't wait to watch your reaction. I suck at wearing heels. You need good balance, a strong core and strong ankles. I twisted my ankle so many times I gave up on them. Now it 's flats all the time!!

Loved the reaction guys but it was sooo painful seeing you fall in love with the stripped down version and not realize it was the urban remix 🤣🤣 I listen to both remixes more than the original probably, so I hope you get to them!! The switch jump tae did in heels is actually a ballet move called an “entrechat”… as an ex ballet dancer I can tell you it’s not easy to do that in ballet shoes, much less heels. 😂

lmaoo bts are so random not jk dressed as a carrot n taehyung dancing in heels. he's is so good with heels, i cant even walk well with them talk less of dance. idk if you guys know how chaotic bts really are, but i would maybe recommend bts chaotic during live videos?? maybe and some run bts episodes.

Dial 6137 usually uses trusted ARMY translators so oftentimes they're more accurate than the others can be. The other lyric videos where they show each member, usually add some other music snippet at the end so they can monetize it, and I personally find that unethical and problematic. So I actually appreciate they choose Dial 6137 or similar channels as lyric videos. I see where you're coming from. But I don't think it's bad to not know everything immediately - the fun is in the figuring out. They looked like they had fun deciphering who was singing what parts (esp parts they loved) during the live performances and dance practices :)

This is getting serious. I love it! Personally, this is not one of my favorite songs. I love how RM speaks in the beginning, the chorus, & the hook that's it. But the level of appreciation in this song will always be there. This put BTS on the map, without this song or era, I would not have known BTS. So I will always give this era & song bouquet & flowers. I have to say Jin voice was my favorite. His voice is honey on this song & fits the melody perfectly. I love when his parts came up I wanted to throw my fist around. Jin is so gifted but BTS in general are filled with utter gifted geniuses so idk why I still get surprised. The BU is another in itself but have fun J&J in it! Borahae to you all!

I personally don't use color coded lyric videos or even lyric videos, so I'm not sure what their reasons could be for using one over the other 😅 If you know of any color coded lyric videos that are the not-so-bad ones, then maybe you could suggest those channels to them and if they wish to use them, they can use those :) It's really not that serious for me tbh, I just stated what I know of the difference between certain color coded lyric videos and lyric videos like these.

This song is so special to the guys and I think that's why I love it so much too. But the urban remix is absolutely 🔥🔥 which is the slow jam one you heard on that video. Please don't get too wrapped up with the whole BU stuff. It's really story lines and theories. Artistic and interesting, yes, but I hope you focus more on the music. I wouldn't want anything to deter you from that. V can twirl like a mthrfkr lol.....there's another video where he did the same twirl during a more recent performance but I can't find it. I dont even remeber which performance it is. He can walk better in heels than I could that's for sure. In my pcd (pre children days) I used to dance, walk, run in them badboys but age, pain and arthritis kinda limits my wear of heels. It's such a culture shock to those who don't understand the audience right. I know it was for me back in 2014 when I started being into Kpop. Like, how can you be so quiet and calm when BTS is in front of you lol. I remember Namjoon saying in an interview that as much as they love performing at home and in other Asian countries, they LOVE performing in the America's (North and South) because the audience was so much more animated, loud and crazy lol and that allowed them to perform more free. I see it.....especially with Hobi and Joon going nuts in Bapsae, no pun intended 🤣🤣🤣

I hope you read all the comments about V wearing high heels coz ya'll were confused af...😂understandable👌this is a program where V and some other members attended and it focuses on people's special talent. In this case... it was those guys wearing/dancing in heels. V and the other entertainer were led to the stage and asked if they could try. Tae absolutely floored everybody with his skills and he was just having fun🥰ya'll should see a video with his talents coz V is that guy..super multi talented💪Also ya'll notice in earlier songs...Taehyung and Jin didn't have that many lines in the earlier songs...the amount of songs they could have easily showcase their talented voices.. yeah we have come a long way🙏we are here now where they grow as artist in their solo songs💜💜

Joon said one time that hate and love are interconnected by obsession. I don't think that's what the song is about, but I like it's an interesting connection to make regarding the "hate vs love vs need" lyrics. I think any pre 2018 BTS listening should be done with keeping in mind how the soundscape was during 2013-2018. This song became big bc this sound was popular during the 2015 EDM/electronica rise. I think listening to this song as an objective listener in 2023 may sound a bit dated to them, but thankfully bangtan has always had a knack for making timeless music. Would love to hear your thoughts on their older selves vs their current selves as you continue to go down their discography. I love seeing how much they've changed and grown up since these times to now.

what tae did in those heels is absolutely insane. i’ve grown up wearing heels and it’s very hard to do anything in them without practice. especially one that tall and thin. unless, of course, you’re just a natural like tae is ig. tho i will say it might not have been his first time. i believe he use to do drag as a kid for fun. so he might have more experience in heels than we think. update he did! i found the interview (potato magazine in 2014) and translations. he said “When it was break time I went to take a peek of all the classrooms, I also went to buy something to eat, I was a kid who couldn’t stop for even a second. When I was in elementary school I participated in a Drag Competition (he wore female clothes) and I passed the qualification so it’d became a good memory (laughs).”

I too hope that J&J don't watch this little video of Jimin now. We've been telling them for a year now to watch the MMA 2019 once they've heard all the songs in that performance so they can enjoy it to the fullest and without spoilers. One of the funniest things about that video in my opinion is finding out which songs they put in the medley-remix!!! (Although by now one of the songs has already been spoiled for them) I understand that it's one of jimin's performances that we all love the most but there are so many others that I think are more appropriate for his birthday. But in the end what J&J choose to do will always be what they think is best for them, so I will be happy either way.

Being genre less..agreed. When people ask me about kpop sometimes I have to answer that way. There is no genre, they stretch the boundaries of everything. The choreography.. I think I can compare to “let go” not musically but for choreography. The ability to move from a contemporary/classical ballet alignment to a more modern hip hop base (especially JK’s solo part. The first half of the chorus when they move their heels very quickly. The choreography screams desperation. Notice me! Whatever it takes! You’re right. I see you got snatched on the Urban live version. That’s how they getcha! The step that V did with his feet in the heels that you slowed down is called “Entrechat Quatre”. Ending in the French number “four” the amount of shapes he passed through before landing (ballet term). Dancing in heels is a whole different bag. Your weight distribution and calf muscles must be strong. Used to figure skate as a kid, but had to narrow down my activities so chose gymnastics. But once again in figure skating, weight distribution is key on the blade. And control through the knees like many movement art forms. Great watching this with you guys! Let’s go to the BU!

Heels are horrible lol chunky heels are easier to walk and dance with. But the ones v was wearing were more stiletto. Which makes it way harder to walk…if that was his first time.. it’s extremely impressive. I had to learn to walk before I could learn to dance in heels.
