Correct… I should have clarified that this is the Funi dub with the Japanese ost. The one we grew up on toonami with is the funimation dub with the Bruce Faulconer osts…. Those are very hard to find nowadays unless you get the Blu-ray’s.

Ok after doing some more research I guess funimation inherited “rock the dragon”from the ocean dub before they did their own thing.

The next episode, ep 31, is what im so amped to see Brago. Beginning, middle and end it's all consistent fire. To this day it is still my personal favourite episode. I cannot wait to see your reaction on Tuesday. Also with the exception of 2 very brief scenes later this was the last time you'll see and hear Launch.

Ocean dub was made in Canada. It was before Funimation did the dub inhouse. I think it wasn't until sometime in the next arc where it became this Funimation dub in America, but in Canada where I live we had Ocean dub the whole time. Then they went back and redid this section in Funimation dub afterwards. Funimation created their own opening "Rock the Dragon" as well as their own background music. The opening used in this version I believe is from a DVD release? and the background music is the original Japanese version. The ending song is also the original Japanese song. Ocean dub had their own very awful opening which I don't know if you had in America. It was just like "Dragon dragon ball.. Dragon Ball Z" over and over.

Episode 54 should be the first of the original Funimation dub, although apparently some of it was rerecorded (especially Chris Sabat's stuff for Vegeta and maybe other characters like Piccolo).

The difference between gokus power and vegetas is that vegeta is used to destroying planets so his powerups cause widespread destruction while gokus is more concentrated so it doesn’t affect others. You see this also change for vegeta when he joins the squad and starts caring for others.

Vegeta was just powering up. He was born much stronger than most adults and then his power grew at an elite level. Like i can’t underscore enough how weak most sayians always were compared to him currently. So its reasonable to say that, despite what retrospectively will be a low power level number compared to what he has when he finally transforms, vegeta right now is already super close to figuring out a transformation and has legendary power for a Sayian. Now here’s Kakarot the runt wash out born with a power of two so we sent him to the tutorial planet who’s gonna rock his perspective of how sayians gain power. He’ll find that class isn’t nearly as helpful as experiences which trigger the ZENKAI BOOST! It seems like most sayains kids thought your power didn’t grow it just was whatever you grew up to be.

Rock the dragon was ocean dub team. Toonami had funimation with the BRUCE FALCONER ost. You’re listening to the funimation dub with JAPANESE ost. To each his own but I bought the blue-rays to experience the toonami stuff i grew up with. Also love that the movies use like disturbed and 3 days grace.
