Otaku

Personally I think this version was better when Goku powered up for Ginyu too. Ginyu Force theme goes hard.

Darthlightskin

Brago please switch to this version the ost is so much better

Alan Lovo

Funimation soundtrack means something to me man 😩

Derbz

We lit 🔥

Yui

Don't like it

Malefic_Ronin

shoutout to the plug because growing up, I'm not 100% but I believe with this soundtrack, a lot of the scenes were cut to fit runtime etc. I have the original VHS of the series and notice a lot of extended scenes that I didn't see growing up.

Brago make sure to watch Kai version the link I send you in GC. Personally I like the line Goku says in Kai. “ I wil make you suffer” it’s what he says in the manga. “ you won’t get away with this” is cool but the real version hits hard.

RBIGUY27TZA

Yes that means we get the speech in the right score next ep fuuuuuuck

The only issue with the English soundtrack is that they never let any silence happen. It's just continuous music. Other than that, I love the English soundtrack so much more I have set weightlifting personal. Bests, while listening to the super Saiyan 3 theme

John Boy

I just realized I've never seen the Funimation version. Definitely saw the ocean dub version when that was airing.

Bow

this ost hits soooooo much

RBIGUY27TZA

I’d say next ep is where gokus voice actor really found his goku

Lucas David

The bass in the SSJ theme is otherworldly

I think the English soundtrack and the Japanese soundtrack are both equally good and nostalgic in my opinion. That's why I can't stand when people argue about it. The Japanese soundtrack is better with suspense and more sentimental sounding music. Not saying that the American OST doesn't have some really pretty sounding songs, like Trunk's story or Vegeta's atonement. But it's strong suit is high octane action music and character themes.
