Choso is a human and a curse, so that specific rule doesn’t apply in his case. Yuuji is basically the same, kinda.Plus the reason for that was because humans use tatics and reason. Anyways it still doesn’t matter because yuta is a special grade that controls another special grade what are we talking about

Big difference is yuta is a special grade sorcerer and choso himself isn’t a special grade sorcerer but the death paintings are considered special grade cursed objects.

The difference in what type of being they are isn’t relevant to my point, they are both special but ill play. Only death paintings 1-3 are classified as special grade, 4-9 are not, And why is that… because 1-3 have the ability to become special grades when used on a human (or maybe even a curse) for possesion. The same way that sukunas fingers were classified as special grade objects because they could create special grades is the same way that the dp1-3 could. Choso was a special grade object, just like sukuna was, when they took over a human hosts they became special grade sorcerers, except sukuna couldn’t use his power because of yuuji soul suppression. On top of that choso uses the kamo clans main hereditary technique to the highest caliber, denying him special grade because he didn’t get approval by the higher ups is crazy.
