Great reaction, but I genuinely think you should have watched this special after episode 137. This came out in 1993, a year after other events. But it kind of spoil the appearance of 17 and 18, plus this special basically appears in a later episode ( came out in 92).

I agree. But he already knew about android 17 and 18 so it doesn't matter for him. But for someone brand new to dragonball z, definitely should've waited

Yeah that's what I was really thinking about mainly the new viewers. Like how most of us are treading carefully about spoiling yu yu hakusho or one piece. Plus the big threat trunks warned is dulled because we know whom he's telling goku about. The mystery is gone now.

Future trunks is the most tragic character in dragon ball. Last survivor in his future didn't get to know half of z cast. If you count super he lost his mom by goku black, and his whole universe got wipped out. Ending of goku black arc was bad in storytelling term. But it does make future trunks the most tragic character in the Franchise in my opinion.

You know considering what Brago say about the transformations really thinking about it, that might have been a partial inspiration for the sharingan and Uchiha clan. Also Goku really was the chosen one had anyone had anyone else became a super Sayian fighting Frieza they would have still lost another subtle detail being pushed that a super Sayian isn’t unstoppable.

Bro this was the same gohan we just watched all them episodes of, that’s a crazy fucked up way for his life to go. The most innocent kid ever got hunted like a dog for sport after all his hero’s died and killed after years of failing. I love watching this early, it’s the android saga, I wanna feel trunk’s emotions because it’s his actions that created the reality that made the story continue. Otherwise the androids ended Dragonball.
