Episode 10 was a really good episode for anime only viewers but there was actually a suppressing amount of cut content in terms of dialogue and fights. So here on some cliff notes ill leave other comments going into more detail of certain things. 1.In the LN, John was beating the shit out of Alcaides after he was weakened by the hydra venom, also Clan Calatin(the special police force) were working with Flat and Jack to give John the opening instead of just standing there like they were in the anime. Like i pointed out last week the anime is really gassing the Alcaides agenda 2.Gilgamesh vs Richard was a bit longer, and it showed that Richard has the ability to get faster the longer he fights, he got so fast to the point that his multiple Excalibur blast started to look like a single beam. Gil had to use his chains of heaven(the weapon he used to subdue berserk in fate/stay night) to counter the blast 3.Alcaides flees from the police to fight Gil the Hydra poison that John stabbed him with did kill him but he uses one of his NPs Kings Order to get temporary immortality, Gil vs Alcaide's fight is also longer than what's shown with Gil having the upper hand until Ishtar shows up. After she closes his gates he picks up some of the weapons that he had already summoned and we get to see Gil fight hand to hand 4.The whole fight between Jester(Vampire), Sigma, and Assassin got skipped as well as her backstory 5.Hansa(the priest) is surprised by Ayaka because not only is she supplying mana to her own servant who keeps spamming Excalibur, but she was also supplying mana to Assassin who didn't want to keep receiving mana from her original master Jester.

For more context outside of fate Ishtar, True Berserker( the metal mech that shot Gil), Giglamesh, and Enkidu are all from the same story/mythos. Ishtar is the Goddess of Fertility and War. She fell in love with Gil and wanted to become his wife but he rejected her, due to that she sent the bull of heaven to kill him but Gil and Enkidu team up and kill the bull, Enkidu references this when they are talking to richard in ep 6. She ends up Holding a grudge for thousands of years and shows up during this holy grail to fuck with Gil and Enkidu i believe the anime will explain how she was able to show up on earth since beings from the Age of Gods aren't usually allowed to show up on earth. Anyways going back to Fate if you remember back to episode 0 Gilgamesh threw away the replica of the key to his vault used to summon him. Which isn't an issue since it's useless and human hands. But Ishtar, who is a Goddess is able to use her divinity on it and close Gilgameshes Gate. When Gilgamesh froze it was because of True Berserkers scream they anime doesnt explain True berserks identity and explaining everything would take to long so all you need to know is that true Bersker is one of the few beings to scare Gilgamesh in his original life, and the scream is an actual ability that has a stun affect. To make it simple Gilgamesh Got jumped and attacked by like 3 hard counters to him. Its kind of a thing in fate for Gil to get hoed since he's too strong.
