Thats why zuko is always so ready to fight. Its because he didn’t fight when it mattered the most, in his opinion

Two of my favorite episodes in this season. The great divide really showed how great aang is when it comes to solving problems and coming up with solutions even when his back is against the wall, being able to solve disputes between individuals and even being mature enough to stay impartial. A lot of people didn’t like the ending of that episode because the lie doesn’t seem believable but considering who it’s coming from you wouldn’t really expect the air nomad avatar to lie to you. The storm is great with showing the tragic parallels between Aang and Zuko where essentially both are being punished in different ways and end up losing their families. I think Katara is right that if Aang had stayed he would’ve been killed as well considering the attack was an ambush, and with how quickly they were able to almost completely subjugate the other nations they probably would’ve captured the next Avatar.
