Clover, what? This is your main character, what's gonna happen?

Ramona Wanders

Ms. Courtois had better not just murdered Pia. I really hope there will be consequences for that awful, awful human being.

Nadav

The rocks are significantly less bloody than I anticipated. Are we about to find out Pia is actually fae?

Kris Grimsley

That's right, run. Run and live in fear of what you've done and what you are. You could pretend before, tell yourself you were anything other than what you are, but now you have no choice but to face the truth. Sure, you can still lie to everyone else, but never again to yourself. Now you can live with what you are, and live in fear of the consequences it shall bring you. I really hope Pia is ok in the end. She deserves so much more than to be the victim of this monster's crisis

Orion Rhine

"It wasn't me." "It was an accident." "I had to do it." "She made me do it." "Everyone made me do it." "I'M THE VICTIM!" Now a monster is truly born. Not of nature, not of Gods, but of humans. The only known source of monsters in this universe. I hope Pia will be okay. She doesn't deserve this, especially not on her birthday. Hell, no one deserves this. Not even the monster that did it.

Jessie Harris

Holy shit, I didn’t think she’d actually donit

Daelin

Well looks like she is truly a monster despite her denials

Cal

Ms. Courtois' days of being the harmless village gossip are definitely over. And for what? She snuck up on someone who was having a private moment, the kind that one would normally react to by saying "oops, sorry" and leaving.

Ethan

Ok, well played, clover... well played. :o

Pete White

Other possibilities--unknown where they fall in the rankings of probabilities--include Pia simply slipping (based on the 'boot at the edge' and 'small rocks falling' scenes in #224. Plus the fact that the vertical rocks in that strip's last panel may not be as far down from the edge as it appears, due to perspective. And then in today's strip, Ms C's horrified look and abrupt turn away may possibly mean 'gotta get help!.' And I may be overanalyzing things, fer sure.

Chris Miller

Oye, well, I never thought potential murder was on the offering at the beginning of this journey.

Orion Rhine

People like her, while not always cut from the same cloth, are at least sewn from the same pattern. They're predictable in how they react.

Arianod

SHE FUCKING DID IT OH MY GOD

Arianod

I can't believe Pia is fucking dead.

skollipsism

THE PROTAGONIST IS DEAD???

Platus

The "Little Tiny Things" are all the microbes that grow up in her corpse (nature sure is fascinating!)

Wyle Heart

I see a permanent wheelchair in Pia's future. Maybe with a Ms Courtois mysteriously very devoted to helping Pia adapt to her new limitations.

Kris Grimsley

She doesn't deserve the privilege. Pia would only know her as the kindly old lady that helps her out and that nobody likes for some odd reason. Courtois doesn't deserve that image. Pia should know the truth

Yajoovya

Oh no no no no no no no come on no no no why no

Faith and Valor

This just went off the rails... er I mean cliff!
